Apple 15.4 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar (Mid 2018, Space Gray)
Wonderful Machine
I had to get used to the touchbar, and I am still getting used to it. It is really useful part of the computer. I havent been able to see the speed of it, because I really dont have a power hogging App to use with it. The keyboard is different than my Old Mac book Pro. I am still getting used to the touch. The sound is better, and even more robust. I like the weight of the computer too. It is a big change in design in the last several years. I had a Mid 2015, and in almost 3 years you can see the changes in this model.

My first Mac ever!
I finally decided to take the plunge and get my first Mac ever! Im so happy I did! Ill be doing a lot of photo and film editing in the upcoming year so everyone advised me to go all out and get a Mac instead of trying to fiddle with the specs on a PC. They were right and I wont be going back. The same morning I decided to start laptop shopping, I saw an ad for exactly what I needed from B & H. I got a super amazing deal on a fast, reliable, powerful machine that somehow also manages to be so compact and super light.

Dream come true
Ive been using an early-14 iMac since 2015. I chose it for its large screen, which seemed like a logical choice due to my poor vision. What I didnt consider was the restricted portability of the iMac: When I needed help from my users group, the machine proved to be too awkward to tote around. So I got the MacBook Pro and synchronized my Apple devices. B&H, as usual, provided excellent customer support, shipped the product immediately, without tax, and at a lower price than Apple. Its a joy to buy from B&H.

An excellent computer
I needed a new computer. My previous one, also a MacBook Pro, was wearing out. It acted extremely slow most of the time. The 17-inch screen was nice for photos, but I really didnt need such a large screen. My new MacBook Pro is super-fast, and the learning curve isnt steep, because of its similarity to the old one. The external connections to the new one are a bit problematic. I used the USB and CD slots a lot, so I will have to invest some more money to add devices that will make up for what is missing.

Creative workhorse
I grabbed this laptop to handle some basic video editing in the field and so far it has not disappointed me at all. Lightweight, super fast, and impressive color and sound. The pressure sensitive touch pad take a little while to get used to (it can be frustrating just trying to move a doc to the trash). The biggest downside in this laptop has to be the USB 3 ports (4 in total). Kind of a pain to need dongles for almost everything. At least Mac was nice enough to keep the headphone jack though.

B&H is great but Apple has become the new Microsoft
MacOS needs to repair your library to run applications The photo library you request does not exist the blockchain ID you provided is incorrect Save yourself the headaches - now seems like a great time to abandon Apple. I spent a month researching this purchase. Once I got it home, it basically functions like a car that wont start. Compatibility/upgrade issues that make no sense and are irreversible. Dont fall for the Apple is simple tagline. Apple is no longer simple and reliable.

Previous was Better
I had a MacBook Pro that got damaged, so I spent $5,000 on a new and improved. I9 is not fast and Safari drags. Multitasking is pitiful and the Touch ID will quit after five installs, stating that there are no more available Touch ID slots, yet none are shown to be cleared in Touch ID preferences. So basically after the fifth install, NO MORE Touch ID. Apple is working on a fix that should have been obvious to anyone who tested the I9 with the new T2 security chip. Not impressed!

Very Happy With My Purchase
This is my first MacBook Pro and I absolutely love it! It can handle anything I throw at it! I do a lot of photo compression and the 32gb ram is lightning fast. The 1tb ssd upgrade is perfect and really improves my workflow! Pleased with the service and discounts B&H offers as well! I was able to get this at a huge discount compared to Apples pricing! I do recommend that if you get this to look into USB-C adapters. I found the Hyperdrive and it works great for my MacBook Pro!

great company, spent thousands here often
Love everything from the price to customer service and speedy delivery, only negative: expensive products like the Macbook Pro or IpadPro must be signed for in person upon delivery, so I had to delay shipping a day and reroute through fedex to a store to sign for the item since delivery times are sporatic. I wish they would give me the option at check out to deliver to the closest store or allow me to select pick up from Fedex office etc... but it was still a great experience.

Constant locking, it heats up, and Fan turns on constantly.
I bought to Replace my Macbook pro 13 2015, but I can not use the same way, impossible to use it on legs traveling for as long as it heats, using the Chrome navigator always to the tune, already updated, detached and installed and still crashing, had to stop Using Google Chrome, the fan turns on constant annoying noise, on several called on apple asks for several tests and nothing is solved. It was the most expensive computer of my life and the biggest disappointment so far.

Replaced my Desktop with this laptop
I have an 8 your-old Windows i7 with 16 GB of RAM and it ran great this whole time. I needed a new laptop and decided to consider using this MacBook as my only computer because of the specs on this computer. So, I bought a port replicator that supports 3 x 4K monitors and plugged all of my other devices into the replicator. Connected the replicator to the laptop via USB-C and it works great. One machine all the time with the convenience of multiple displays when Im home.

I'm very satisfied
It's already a week that I have been using this MacBook Pro and I'm very happy. I use it mostly for video editing. It does what it supposed to do. One thing I hope Adobe will fix for this computer is that it makes automatically the switch between headphones and speakers. Every time one has to go into Adobe's settings to change between them. Neither Adobe nor Apple take action into that. For the rest I'm very pleased with the keyboard and the sound is superb.

Best MacBook Pro I've used.
I've worked for many years on Mac and PC's. While each has their merits I can say without hesitation that this is the best MacBook Pro that I've ever used. It's powerful enough to run everything I throw at it and it's fast! I've not put its battery through all the tests thus far but for the limited amount of battery life I've used it's help up well. Portable, powerful and responsive. If your looking for a new MB Pro this is machine that you want to look at.

Big, heavy, loud fans, gets hot.
Eh, its fast but its big and heavy, loud fans, and gets hot during basic tasks. I mainly use photoshop, illustrator, and Final Cut. All work fine, but they work perfectly smooth on the MacBook Air as well. I think the Air + eGPU + monitor is the better solution. Then you have a true mobile solution and can hook it up to the eGPU when you need to do some heaving lifting. Purchasing the Macbook 15.4 was an expensive mistake, live and learn I guess...

No big deal.
I replaced a 2011 MacBook Pro that needed a new motherboard. This Mac is slimmer and lighter, but there is no CD/DVD player and we now need to use different ports with no real benefits--only the need for new adaptors. The computer works well, but despite the 7 years that have lapsed since my last model, there are only moderate improvements. I have not had a chance to try all the features, but I am only moderately satisfied with the new computer.

A Marvel and a Beast!
I was skeptical of the touch barbut quickly changed my opinion once I realized the functionality it provides when working in different apps! Youcan modify the functionality for the majority of apps. The USB-C ports are kind of a bummer because you need adapters for everything else; however, once you utilize the USB-C outlets to their full potential you realize what a powerful and future-proof this machine is! Im a graphic designer if that helps!

Very Buggy
Replaced a 2011 model that work but was slowing down. When the 2018 worked it was faster but the frustration it caused me was not worth it. Tried to use it for 3 weeks. Crashed all the time when trying to upload photos or simply move folders. Not a functional machine. Maybe I got a lemon or maybe a something is wrong at Apple. Either way I just returned it for cause and am waiting on a replacement. Fingers crossed the next one will work better.

Love my MacBook Pro 2018
I upgraded from a 2011 MacBook Pro and am overall very pleased with the new laptop. It's about a pound lighter, much faster, battery lasts most of the day, and has all the qualities that make me love Apple products. Since there is only one type of port, I had to buy a converter that plugs into the side ports so that I can plug in my external monitor and USB-A cables for about $100. Overall I'm very happy and would recommend this computer.

An amazing change from a PC
I was hesitant for years to make the change from my trusty (but increasingly slow) PC, even after my whole family had switched to Macs. But I have been pleasantly surprised by how easy the change was and how much it matters. I can work faster and easier, navigate better, and the power of the MacBook Pro is amazing. It was easy to find the programs I needed, which work just about the same, and Im a happy user. Never looking back.

Bad customer service
Ordered laptop during cyber Monday. Instead of getting expedited shipping as advertised, they shipped it standard. Emailed customer service with no response. Delivery requires signature. Projected to be delivered by FedEx on 11/30/18 but now theres no delivery update. I dont have time to stay home all day waiting for it on the weekend. Could have been avoided if product was shipped via expedited shipping as advertised.

i9 AWESOME 32GB of RAM Top Notch Pricing Amazing
Im replacing a 5 year old iMac and the difference is like night and day, needles to say that my computer not sounding like a jet engine. compared to the 15 inch MBP I gave to my son that is also like 5 Y/O it is a beautiful piece of equipment. I can see this lasting me a good 5 or 6 years. I also really like the touchID implementation, I think I can get more use out of the touchbar but we will see how that goes.

Wonderful
Firstly the delivery process was phenomenal as it took waaaay shorter than expected. Hats off the BHP for that. The laptop is in itself nothing short of what I expected. The only complain I must say is the battery life on it. I expected a much longer life span as it is quite new and up to date. Other that that I would recommend buying products here to everyone. I even bought the 2016 Model here too.

Great machine with a display quirk
Great machine for the most part with a flaw that no one of the reviews seem to mention. It is the fact that the display response times are to me a bit slow, so when moving from a white to black area or vice-versa there is some sort of motion trail/blur. After using it for a couple of months, it is not that serious and I have been used to it, but I think that it should be mentioned nevertheless.

Excellent
Great build quality, big trackpad, keyboard is not bad, very fast operation, quickest multitasking for a laptop I've seen, outstanding speakers (rivals some bluetooth speakers), and more. An excellent package for task-heavy users that need a desktop-quality experience in a portable but super light weight package. I expected a little bit more battery life, but having 32gb RAM is a nice treat.
