Just an OK Upgrade. Not Really Worth the Price
I have a late 2012 MacBook Air and upgraded to this new computer so that I could give my daughter the old one for school. Otherwise, I would have kept my 2012. Great value Some limitations.
Im very pleased by the overall performance of this entry-level 2018 MacBook Air.When it was first released, I read all the major reviews closely so when B&H offered this basic model at a deep discount I knew it would meet my needs for a super-light, compact second computer to take to meetings and on short trips. Great Laptop, Great Price
Best entry level MacBook, perfect for light work, word, web, media consumption with decent battery life, display is plenty bright and I always have it 2-3 bars lower, cpu runs cool at around 50c when doing light work, will jump to 90c when doing any heavy work loads so keep that in mind, however doesnt get too hot on your lap. portable + powerful
love this computer! I upgraded from the mid 2012 MBP (non-retina) and the difference is huge. The speakers are very loud but still sound great, and i have yet to hear the fan come on even when Im running many tabs in Firefox, as well as excel, word, acrobat, and messaging. Does everything I want!
I bought his MacBook Air to replace a 5 year old one, which gave me great service. However, the new one is just so much more refined. Beware
Have USB-C hubs ready when you get it otherwise, nothing works. No USB port. Most all of your applications will not transfer from your older Air to this one. So many privacy and security steps that prevent apps from being loaded and immense time going to other devises for the 2-factor authorization that hits you maybe 5 times trying to get things running. As advertised
Shipping was good. Received without issue. Wife likes the computer - yay! Compared to Dell Inspiron / 2012 Mac Book Pro she really liked the keyboard. Battery life is great - she can use it all day in her itinerant job (teacher). Weight is very good as well. With the MacBook Airs, youre paying for elegance, size, weight, and battery life. Moving up to the Air
I moved up from a MacBook to the new Air (2018) with anticipation of considerably quicker responses. A bit disappointed. Yeah, it is faster, but then again, the device is new and the HD is fresh and over half empty. It always seems that a new computer is faster. The screen is nice, bigger than the MacBook, but I would not say better. The keyboard is said to be better, and I must agree, more responsive than my MacBook. Overall, a worthy device (I took the 256GB), but am still a bit (more than a bit) disappointed not to have a SD card slot. In reality, it is just an oversized MacBook.

Getting used to the switch from a Pro
I have used a Macbook Pro forever. The Air felt like a toy at first -- a baby Mac if you will. I made the change because I want to be able to take it more places more comfortably and I do like the size, but also I preferred the size of the price tag. The machine itself: It's speedy, responsive and does all I hoped. Since I've been a Mac person since the 128k Mac (which I still own), there's nothing surprising about this. Also, going to 16GB was key to my happiness with this machine. I just need to adapt to the keyboard, which is different. Other than that, happy as a clam.

Dead on Arrival TWICE
Bought it as Christmas present and arrived dead. RMA took 2 weeks and I bought another one hastily as a gift for Christmas while first one was still being processed. Second one also arrived Dead. I took it to Apple store and they confirmed that logic board is faulty. Lots of people on slickdeals who bought the same laptop had exact same issue. WHOLE batch of laptops were bad. I was surprised B&H kept on shipping them even though they were aware it's faulty. Still on going RMA for second one that was dead and I missed Christmas by two weeks and regret buying it online.

Does everything I expected
My granddaughter asked for a computer for Christmas. We are an Apple centric family so the MacBook Air was the obvious choice for her needs. Setup up was intuitive and quick. iMessage and Facebook required a call to Apple support for security and unblocking but was quickly and courteously resolved. Beautiful Retina display is a great improvement. Simple, user friendly, and plenty powerful for its intended purpose. USB c inputs require a dongle but allows her to use older USB drives and peripheral devices. I dont find this to be a problem. Very satisfied.

No Brainer
I am not very computer literate so hesitated to buy a new computer thinking program and file transfers would be a pain. This thing made it easy, easy, easy. Opened the box and followed the idiot (me) proof instructions. Then via wifi, presto change-o, my old mac desktop appeared on my new mac air. WOW! And B&H made the purchase totally simple and secure, even with a post order phone call to confirm my order was for real and nobody hacked my credit card, etc. I had a small problem transferring on program but called Mac and they fixed it no problem-o.

Keep your old MBA...
We bought two, finally replacing 2013 MBAs since Apples laptop folks neglected their product for five years. Welcome to the dongle dungeon and spinning beach balls due to the extremely slow CPU, an odd clackety keyboard (ok, my wife likes this new one better). I wrongly thought upgrading RAM to 16 GB would help. My old MBA with 4 GB RAM and only 128 GB storage is having the battery replaced. I will donate this one to a nonprofit in Cambodia. If other notebooks could run MacOS, I would never buy another Apple laptop. Of course, I would buy from B&H.

I had been wanting to buy the new MacBook Air since it came out, but was not sure about where to get it. Amazon, Best Buy, or the Apple Store. I had previously bought photo equipment from B&H. When I finally decided to purchase the laptop, B&H had the best deal and super fast shipping. Product came brand new in retail shipping box and in excellent conditions. Aside from that, the new MacBook Air is amazing! I use it mostly for college and it is super light to put in my school bag. Highly recommended. Will be shopping at B&H in the future.

Logic Board Failure (death of a computer)
I purchased this relatively expensive device on black Friday. After 6 months of normal use (no drops or damage), the computer became stuck on the loading screen displaying the apple and progress bar. I searched online and tried pressing several key combinations to fix the issue without success. I took it to a local certified apple repair shop to discover the logic board, fan and keypad needed to be replaced. Fortunately , the repairs were covered under Apple's limited 1 year warranty. Apple obviously has issues with its quality control.

Exactly what I wanted!
The laptop I bought is exactly what I wanted, completely new and in great condition! I did have one issue with shipping (Im not sure what happened but basically my laptop didnt ship on the day it was supposed to and looked like it was forgotten). I called B&H and they immediately sent it out with overnight shipping at no cost to me. So, although it got there a little later than planned, B&H was great about rectifying the situation and all I had to do was call! Overall, Im very pleased with the laptop as well as with the service at B&H!

Really happy with the product! You can definitely buy MacBooks from B&H. The delivery was on time and you are getting everything that you can get if you buy from Apple store - one year warranty and three months of technical support. Also, besides the discount, you are not paying any sales tax (depending on the state you live in) plus free shipping. So easily you can save approximately $250 USD. The only thing you need to remember that they dont have a return policy for computers so be sure what you actually want before buying.

Handy and 2Manyaaradvarksndy
I purchased a 13.3 MacBook Air the latest 2018 version. I like the adequate small screen, the gold colored case, the rapid boot time, the high resolution screen, the power endurance, the light weight, the dependability of Appleness, and the similarity to my heavier MacBookPro so the learning curve is short B&H made the purchase pain and aggravation-free and prompt. Missing: I wish an adapter from USB-C to USB-B had been included so that existing memory and photographic devices could be utilized right away.

Not perfect, but excellent update to the Air lineup
Disclaimer: Ive only had this laptop for about a week. Pros: Retinal Display- long overdue and beautiful screen, lightweight, seamless transition using the migration assistant from my 2013 Air to my new one, incredible design. Cons: No magsafe charge port, requires external dongles, screen isnt as bright as non-retina displays, screen goes edge to edge which means its next to impossible not to get some fingerprints on the edges when opening the screen, glossy screen causes glare in some lighting situations.

First time with a MacBook Air - and I love it!
As someone who has been working on a 2012 MacBook Pro for the past six years, this computer is such a nice change. Its lightweight, portable, runs all my applications really well (and quickly), has great battery life, and just has given me a great overall user experience. Not to mention, we got this computer on sale from B&H right after the holiday season which was a bonus. I recommend to anyone who is a student or is just looking for a personal computer to do day-to-day work on - its really worth the money!

Love my computer!
I love this computer! Apple always makes the best products. I love the rose gold, the lightweight portability, the new butterfly keyboard as compared with my old laptop I replaced feels good on my fingers. Such a simple thing yet sets the computer apart and makes it fun to use. The screen is beautiful and bright. I also like the finger touch sensor to use for passwords etc. A cool and functional feature! Also love that bh ships quickly and with no tax in Ohio! Cant say enough about how much Im enjoying it!

So Happy!
I was somewhat disappointed when I ordered my laptop because it was back ordered. I had inquired to find out how long it would be before it came back in stock. Unfortunately, they couldnt give me a time frame and just said it would probably be a few weeks. To my lovely surprise the following week I received an email that my laptop was on its way! I was so happy. My laptop was perfect. It was beautiful when I opened it and even more beautiful when I turned it on. BH is awesome Im so glad I found them.

MacOS + Trackpads gestures + design @ a price.
The only serious issue was that I had to reset the SMC (system management controller) due to a thermal management issue (fan runs at high speed - noise) with light usage. Coming from a MBPro late 2013 this machine feels less stressed by those 8GB RAM. Keyboards feels/sounds different but confortable. Tempted by design / hardware / performance & options on the Windows side. Hope Apple does not become an elitist solely based on price and throws in a touchscreen and 256SSD for the $1,199 starting price.

Great Choice!
I moved from a 13 late 2010 MacBook Air to this 13 2018 Air. The difference is amazing. I love the retina screen, and while not quite as bright as the pros screen, it a huge step-up from the older MacBook Air. Also, there have been a lot of concerns about the butterfly keyboard, but for me this keyboard is an improvement, and the short stroke on these keys is not an issue at all. Since its difficult to upgrade these machines, I tried to future-proof my new Air with 16GB of Ram, and 500 GB of storage.
