A great Camera indeed!
This camera records in High Definition internally at XAVC Long GOP, enabling 422 10-bit sampling at 50 Mbps, now that's a big deal at its price, because it means that you don't need to use an external recorder to record at the same codec and also the 1' sensor helps a lot in low light situations to capture shallower depth of field.

Backup to My NX3
I got this camera to fill in on small video jobs so I don't have to take the big camera all the time. I notice right away that the image is sharp, my NX3 always seemed soft. I choose not to get the 4k upgrade at this time cause my clients still want DVDs It's a great portable camera with good image output.

Great
Great camera, can't wait for the 4k update. A monitor is needed, the lcd is nice, but not like what's being recorded. Love it all, great picture, solid sound, full pro functions, solid build wow. So much camera stuffed into a small package is so great I bought another one for multi cam set ups.

Great camera !!!
I am working with broadcast for a tv show and the x70 is a dream, so easy to work with. At this price it is hard to find anything with this quality. I do recommend this camera. Also ordering from B&H is always a smooth transaction And I just ordered the 4K UPGRADE , can't wait to get it.

Really happy with this camcorder
I am using this camcorder for interview and shooting news. It is small to carry almost anywhere I go and its video is sharp. I was looking for a camcorder that has 4:2:2 10-bit and this one have them. The draw back for me at this price range is the lens hood. It is easy to loose it.

Great bang for your buck
I bought this camera to use for making small video projects for clients. I was impressed with easy to use interface and incredible picture quality. I just wish it was a little better in low-light but it's not bad. I was also happy to learn that I can upgrade this to 4K later on.

Great video quality but...
You can't use yourSonyRM1BP Remote Commander because the connector to the camera was changed. The only one that works (without having to use TWO adapters) is theSonyRM-VPR1 Remote Control. The RM-VPR1 has significant shortcomings, mainly it won't stay on the pan handle.

Great Value w/4K
Boots quick so you don't miss the shot, small size, clear image zoom is very good, menus are fast, great for 4k down res to 1080. L-Gop file sizes are easy to work with. Lots of user info on YouTube and Linkedin Groups. Plays nice with A7rii and FS5 (same sensor).

No comparison! in a good way!!

Quality / Price - excellent choice 100mb/s recording 4K
It is very compact camera. It won't let you down. With new firmware 3.0 it lets you record 100mb/s. Large sensor delivers solid quality. I love the size of it. It is small and light making all work easier...... It is hard to find competition for this ......

Hey KevBob, Your wrong about lanc control on the sony pww x 70. Ive had an x70 for 3 years and use a remote control for everything. You however have to buy a converter cable to convert the 1/8 phone plug to the mini usb connector needed to get into the x70

Pequea pero poderosa
Excelente camara, equilibrada en precio y calidad. En poca luz no es la mejor opcin pero su tamao y calidad la hacen una excelente opcin para viajes y documentales, para moverse con poco peso. Sin lugar a dudas en ese rango lo mejor que he tenido.

Used to live stream church service
This camera was purchased because we needed a great picture and 3G-SDI output. We have only used the camera a few times, but so far, we are very happy. The picture is everything we expected and the output is fantastic even over a 75 ft cable.

Great camera for the price
Had my eye on this camera for over 3 months as I transitioned from just being an editor to shooter/editor. I like the small form factor and the quality of the footage and the fact that there will be a 4K firmware upgrade sometime next year

Good Camera, But...
Good camera for the price, but it's unusable for certain types of shoots, due to the time needed to deal with duplicate file numbering. The camera resets file numbers every time a new flash card is used. This cannot be turned off.

Nice camera with pro features
I normally work with DSLR cameras but threw this gem into my bag for those long events requiring continuous shooting and pro audio that you can control and monitor as needed. The lens is crisp and I love the dual cards.

24 DIY Tv shows
I have used this X70 as a second unit camera in 24 DIY TV shows. It has been spray painted (by accident) been in a concrete dust many times, outside in the rain e-z and its good as new. The 4K upgrade works great.

Great B Camcorder
The X70 is great for small productions or a B Cam to my FS700. It is not as easy to use as a professional cam but has all of the adjustments. Would have to say its not the best in the low light but does the job.

Good camera, bad autofocus
Good Sony cam well matchable with our ex3 multicam production. Only one problem: do not expect using this cam in autofocus mode on a jib, it's far to be as good as the one of the previous generation (EX1, ex3)

Pro performance at entry level price
Very pleased with the operation of this entry level camera. Specs are better than much higher priced cams. With the XAVC codec, we're thinking about adding more Sony products to the line-up.

Good XDCAM
I use this cam It has been updated firmware 2.0 I am content with good image and sound quality A thing left to be desired, this loses auto focus wholly under variable lighting

Compact and good quality
