Great Company Great Site
Late into the holiday season and I was worried it might be too late to get before Christmas. It literally came two days after it shipped or lychees days after I ordered. Top quality and my son loved it. On. A side note, they could process order until Shabbat was over. I respect anyone who carries out their faith over their business. Well done and great site. Easy to order and huge selection.

Happy with this purchase
The Sony E 50 f/1.8 and UV turns out to be exactly what I want for my new Sony camera. Now I can focus on object and people with plenty of Bokeh in the background.

Did not realize it was an APS-C lens but is is great.
DID NOT RECEIVE THE UV FILTER KIT... Anyway, the lens is great if it is what you need. Fast and smooth autofocus, very crisp. But, I did not realize it was an APS-C lens as I am new to Sony altogether so I will be returning it. Anyway, I still recommend the lens if you do not have a full frame camera. Other than that, if you order this package, make sure everything comes that is supposed to. I would give 4 stars for not receiving everything, but I liked the lens and would recommend to others.

Magic
This is an absolutely gorgeous lens. The colour quality of the shots is magical and the lens is so sharp you feel like you can reach out and touch the scene you have photographed. This is a special lens.

Great Lens! Massive Upgrade Over Kit Lens.
Purchased this for my mother as an upgrade over the kit lens for her Sony A6000. She wanted sharper images and some bokeh so I recommended this lens as I have an equivalent 50mm prime for my Canon 7DMKII that I really enjoy. It's a massive upgrade over the kit lens. It matches her goal of sharper images and bokeh very easily. I am impressed by it myself! The weight of the lens is well balanced with the camera. Worth noting is the focus sometimes ... Show More

Cheap but better than expected
Bought it for my A6400 camera. It's a fantastic match for cropped body. It's light, small, perfect for low profile style shooting, for both still and video. Pretty sharp wide open, with beautiful blurred BG. If you are looking for a cheap, light, wide open portrait medium lens for both photo and video, this is the lens you should get! And that OSS feature is a must for video.

Light, compact
Perfect OSS, quick focus. Optimum size, very good fit with A6400 camera. Love the whole ensemble. No reason to go to much larger Sigma lenses plus they don't have image stabilization like Sony lenses do.

Excellent lens
This is an excellent lens for the Sony APS-C mirrorless system. Great sharpness and color.

First Prime Lens is a GEM!
I was less-than-thrilled with the Sony a6000 I had purchased under duress when my Canon T4i suddennly quit working in January just days before a big trip to Europe. But then the Sony 50mm f/1.8 lens went on sale. Positive reviews on B&H's website and conversations with B&H experts convinced me to give it a try. So glad I did. Even though its refresh rate is a tad slow, everything else about this prime lens is top-notch.

Sony E 50 mm F 1.8
This lens is excellent. Photos tack sharp did not notice any vignetting on the edges. It is lightweight and combined with the A6400 makes a great walk around camera. I have also used it on my A7RII and it works flawlessly on that camera. Well made and solid. Would and have told friends how good I feel it is.

Portrait lens
Nice short focal length lens for blurring the background of subjects (and foreground if you have foreground objects). Set the dial on your Sony A6300 to A then use the wheel to turn the F-stop down low, such as to 1.8. Youll have to back up your distance to the subject to get a shot as wide as with the stock A6300 lens. Cant argue with the price and free shipping.

Perfect pairing for my a6300!
Fast focus! Great construction! Tack-sharp images! Dreamy bokeh! Image stabilization! What more could you want at that price? - This is my new go-to lens.

Amazing lens for the price - great bokah!
Really impressed with this lens. I have been using it indoors in a decently lit warehouse, and the headshots are coming out great with good focus and good background blue (bokah). Easy to use, the OSS (optical steadyshot) seems to work well, fast focus, overall great lens.

Essential lens
Been shooting solely with the 35mm kit lens for Sony A6000 for the last year and finally starting to expand my options. This lens already brings me closer (though not too close) to my subject and looks like it will be an especially helpful portrait lens. Love the option to get lover f-stop than the 35mm kit lens could offer which allows me to really blow out the background and focus on subject Im shooting. Also love the image stabilization help. Picked up a UV lens cover and polarizing filter as well and I feel like Ill have lots to play with in the coming months.

Very satisfied!
Though Im a novice, I find it very easy to use with its auto focus. Love the bokeh effects & low light performance, better than my Sony A5100 kit lense.

Works great!
Im loving this lense. Usually I go with Canon lenses and a Metabones adapter for my Sony A7Sii but the autofocus doesnt work as well with this combo. I got the 50mm here for auto focus purposes and it works pretty well. Focuses in a few seconds and doesnt make sound while doing it.

Marvelous paired with a6000
This was the first lens I had ever purchased after getting my a6000 with the kit 16-50mm. I did a ton of research, and eventually landed on the 50mm 1.8. After using it primarily for roughly 6 months, I can definitely say that for the money, youd be hard-pressed to not pick this up for your E-mount APS-C stuff. Its sharp, the stabilization is good, and it doesnt bulk-up an a6000 to the point where bodybuilders get jealous at the sight of your kit. On the downside, it does hunt for focus in low light, however, its nothing that should scare you from giving one a try.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for!
I am using this lens on a relatively old camera (Sony NEX-3N), but the portrait pictures look amazing! They are coming out better than what professionals take in Picture-People. Its unbelievable.

Great Lens
I have replaced the 16-50mm lens (came with my Sony a6000 camera) with this new 50mm f1.8 since I got it. Love it.

The first must have prime lens
For those who has standard lens, this is the bright and sharp lens which worth every penny. This lens is very useful for portrait shooting and indoor video. Optical stabilisation is so good that I was able to shoot clear handheld images with 1/10sec shutter speed. Auto-focus is quick without any motor sound.

I just purchased this nice lens for my Sony a6000 and its living up to my expectations. Looking forward to a long time friendship with it. Thank you Sony.

Great Value, Super Sharp, Bokeh Madness!
If you're looking for a portrait/macro lens that can also give you tac sharp images then look no further. Couple that with the great value and there is seriously no reason to not get this lens. Even on my much older Sony Alpha3000, images equal perfection. Lens work super well in low light too thanks to that f1.8. I would definitely recommend this lens for anyone, amateur and professionals alike looking for an awesome portrait prime lens.

Awesome!
Lens is sharp and gives great quality bokeh for portraits and macros. Great value for what it is. At F1.8, you can't really argue with the quality you're getting and the value you're getting it at.

Newbie
So I was hesitant about buying a lens just because I didnt know exactly what I was looking for. I was told by someone who knows cameras that I should look into a 50mm/1.8f lens so I waited until I found a decent price in the Used Inventory section and I have to say that I am extremely shocked by how well my pictures come out. I bought my Sony a5100 in February but since I received this in the mail I have not been able to put out it down.
