Great for low light shots!
The Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III is lightning fast at focusing and takes amazing shots in low light better than any other camera I have used before. The video quality is exceptional as well. I bought this camera to use on my honeymoon and could not be happier with the pictures I took with it. Highly recommend!

very satisfied and the price is right
The only reason I gave it a 4 star rating was because I've only had the camera for a couple of weeks and haven't had time to try out all of the bells and whistle that I know are there. For the limited use I've put the camera to I very definitely give it 5 stars and am sure that will be my final rating.

Wonderful, extremely small camera with great picture qualit.
Does everything I thought it might do. Takes excellent pictures and great features. However it really needs the optional Sony grip because it is so small. Because of its diminutive size, I take it many more places than my other two APS-C sensor size Sony cameras. Great clear pop up view finder.

This is great!
Used for home/family and travel when lightweight is a requirement. Beyond that, the results are beyond belief. Quality of photos is excellent, as good as on my SLR. The only shortcoming is the limited range of zoom, but that is well offset by the portability when travelling! A great camera.

Not as great as I thought
Camera is okay for a point and shoot. The lens really limits what the camera can do. It would not focus at all on any subject within two feet, rendering the macro mode totally and completely useless. Honestly my iPhone 6 took better photos which is a shame. I wouldn't recommend this camera.

Perfect Camera for everyday use
This is the perfect camera for a keen photographer who wishes to have a very good camera which is light and pocket able with him or her all the time. It may lack some of the features of full frame digital camera but it is so easy to take with you anywhere and takes some excellent pictures.

PERFECT POCKET CAMERA
This tiny functional camera is great. The size is small enough to put into my pocket. The 180 screen is perfect for self-shoot. The image quality is similar with my DSLR. The lens range 24-70 is perfect for every day shooting. The built-in viewfinder is easy to use and amazing!

I love it !!
As soon as I received it, I took advantage of the new lense, for both the 2.8 aperture at the other end, and the 24 mm. the viewfinder was not why I decided to quit my RX100II, butu for the lense. Therefore I am truly satisfied. And I love the response time and the new hinges

So far amazing!!!
I traded my first gen Fuji x-100 for this Sony. I got tired of working so hard to take really great photos. This one works like a point and shot and takes really great photos out of the bow. It's a little bit on the pricey end but so is all good photo equipment these days.

Best Compact Camera for My Needs
Excellent camera, especially for the size. Fits in a pocket but shoots great photos. Does alright in low light but not as good as larger sensor cameras of course. Wish the zoom range extended further on the long end, maybe to 100 or 120mm but it's totally usable as it is.

A lot quality in a travel size camera
I wanted a small travel size camera that would meet my high quality image standards obtained with my professional gear. This Sony provides outstanding quality for its size. My only comment is that the case included in the kit is a bit too small and fits very tightly.

Worth the updare from the M2 - Love it.
Reasons for updating to RX100M3 from RX100M2 are: 24mm wide angle instead of 28mm (needed that) Higher quality video (nice bonus) Built in Pop up viewfinder (very useful) And I think the photo's are sharper with even more enhanced colors.... Just beautiful.......

The best compact camera yet
When you don't want to lug around your heavy DSLR and still don't want to comprise too much on quality this is the camera for you. A lot of manual controls when wanted and excellent image quality in a fast lens makes this the first choice in a small camera form.

Excellent but with a caveat or two
It is an excellent camera for what it is. But, they should not have removed the hot shoe and they should have at least a mic input for external audio, especially when one of the major selling points is the video. It is also a bit on the high side for price.

Great, and complex
I purchased this as a second camera--have a full frame DSLR as main camera. Beautiful pictures--my only complaint is that the documentation is very sparse. This is a very complex little machine and deserves better documentation of its features and options.

It's charming and cute
I have many cameras including Leica M 6 film camera but I sometimes, especially in travelling, need very compact to carry and for easy shot. It is great for this purpose and nice filming as well. Yes this is the right one for carrying and quality photos.

Great little camera
This is the fastest focusing and quietest camera I've ever owned. I own a full frame sony A7R, but needed something easier for point and shoot. My only complaint is that it's a little heavy, but worth it for a great camera with a great low light lens.

Great Update!
I use this camera for street shooting and travel. Terrific update, particularly the new aperture and the pop up EVF. The only drawback is the shorter zoom range of the lens. I would have liked Sony to have kept the original range as on the M1 and MII

Best 'point and shoot' ever
Read the manual to optimize your results. MANY modes of operation to choose from. NOT overly complicated but takes some time to familiarize yourself with proper settings for the myriad settings to best suit your particular choice for all conditions.

Good while it lasted
After 6 months the zoom stopped working, inexplicably as it wasn't dropped or damaged. As other reviewers have said, there are a lot of issues with fragility in this camera. The camera feels solid and well made but the moving parts are not I guess.

Fun,fun,fun
Great little pocket camera. Very high I.Q. with plenty of pixels if you like to crop. I'm very happy with the 24-70 mm focal length and I rarely wish I needed more. I now have a camera that's always with me and I be satisfied with the images.

Believe the Positive forget the Negative
Others have written long reviews let me simply say - if you want the most feature rich camera available today, that can fit in your pocket, this is the one. Is it perfect, no. Not interested in fitting in you pocket, choose something else

The Bible for DSC-RX100 III
I purchased Alexander White's Book for my new Sony. It is 500 pages of details that has helped me learn my new P&S. Photographers Guide to the Sony DSC-RX100 III I'm an NPS Nikonian using 4 Nikon bodies that have less complicated menus.
