We are just point and shooters - this camera gives great features and is very easy to learn. Almost too small. But fits easily into a pocket. And with B&H it comes so quickly - puts the big A place to shame and a better price.

Great Value lacking image quality
I use this as a play around back up camera. It's been a long time since I got a sub hundred dollar point and shoot. It has the full easy auto mode but surprisingly, it has a program mode, as well as manual ISO, white balance, and exposure compensation. Much like the stuff you get in more sophisticated cameras. Simple Pleasures
It pretends to be nothing more than it is: a simple point and shoot camera with enough features to beat a cell phone camera. I have a Sony HX400V long zoom so Sony's menus and naming conventions are familiar. I like the pocketable size of the W800 and find out-of-the-camera image quality to be good. A solid performer for those interested in this type of camera.

Very good value
I bought this camera for my 89 year old father to take on a cruise. He has never owned a digital camera before, so I wanted something that isn't expensive, takes decent pictures, fits in a shirt pocket and is very easy to use. This camera meets all those criteria. My previous point and shot met with an untimely accident. This camera is a good value. The auto focus is slow compared to more expensive models but for me that was a good thing because I learned patience.

Very good camera
Pros. 1) Light weight, 2) Durable metal surface, 3) Easy to use (I bought it for my 10y old son) 4) Tracking focus is fun. 5) USB charger. 6) Good picture quality. Cons. 1) A little slow focusing. 2) Battery life is a bit short. Very good camera at this price. BTW, the size at Sony USA and B&H is incorrect. It is 96.8mm x 55.5mm x 20.8mm (W x H x D), so 3.8inch x 2.2inch x 0.82inch.

I took this camera to Lollapalooza this last weekend, and wow. The video was great and the pictures adjusted to all lighting! Perfect concert camera, the zoom keeps the photos nice and clear and the flash works very well.

NIce!
I needed a new point and shoot and this fit the bill. Had all the features I needed for basic family picture or HD video. A rechargeable battery, and the screen can be seen in the sunlight, plus very small and light. I like it for the price its a steal!

Feature rich at a good price.
I've had the camera for about week. It's small so I can take it with me on the go. It has many auto features, plus manual settings, too. It takes clear pictures under various lighting conditions. I use it for eBay, photos of my pet, and interesting things I see while out. I haven't used the video feature yet, but I suspect the quality will also be very good.

For Economical Reasons...
The camera is as simplistic as it can be. Have the essentials to get the job done. For a low price camera SONY did well. Is more a camera for the everyday shoot. I even use it for a modeling photoshoot in a studio using direct light, mounted in a tripod and capture what I need.
