Best in its Class! Gem of a camera!
This is an incredible piece of technology. It's hard to imagine how far we come. My first camera had 4 megapixel way back then and it took average pictures. This camera takes fantastic pictures with its fast lens. I use it everywhere since it's so small and pocketable. I bought the grip and it feels more balanced now. It's on the expensive side for sure but I believe it's worth every penny. I'm extremely happy with the Sony RX100 IV!

Superb Pocket Camera
This camera takes excellent photos and offers all the features I wanted in a pocket sized camera; ie; pop up viewfinder, pop up flash, manual controls and a zoom lens. The menu is fairly easy to navigate and it's low light performance is fantastic.. The biggest drawback is that 70 mm is the maximum zoom. Also the software supplied to convert raw files into a format for post processing has it's weaknesses. I would buy this camera again and overall am very satisfied with it.

Good pocket camera
It fits in s jeans front pocket. The quality is about the same as the Nikon D3200 with the Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II Lens. Not great but adequate when the alternative is no camera at all. Low light performance is not good at all, pictures taken ISO 1600 and higher are below a level of quality than I can accept. Perfect Pocket Cam
I had an LX100 for those times when I needed to carry a smaller and more discreet camera. I loved it. But in the end it just wasn't small enough to come with me all the time. I often found myself with just my phone in situations where I needed more. So, i traded it in and the RX100IV totally fits the bill. Amazing photos and it fits in my pocket without being obtrusive. The HFR slo-mo and 4K video are excellent added bonuses. After just a few weeks, my iPhone has gotten very jealous!

Good camera, but expensive
The advantages of this camera are well known. I have found the slide up eye viewfinder to be very useful. That feature alone set this large-pocketable camera apart. However the battery life is poor and the camera (being somewhat heavy for being so small) needs a grip. Get an option grip if you get this camera.

Excellent Camera
The RX100 IV is one of the best compact point and shoot cameras on the market. It comes down to whether or not you want to justify the cost of this camera. As someone who primarily uses cameras for still photography, it will be hard to find another camera in it's class with similar features. I highly recommend this camera for performance, features and price point.

Small Gem
Tried it out for casual work. A lot of functionality in a easy to carry package. Finally decided to return it, because I am more comfortable with a full frame, particularly given the relatively high price.

Great travel camera
This is my third RX100. The first one (original model) I fell on and smashed. The second (also the original model) traveled with me around Europe and the USA. A great camera
I love everything about this camera. The size makes it a wonderful travel camera, without having to lug a dslr.The photos and videos are better then many dslrs and better then the RX100 m2.

Love it!
I see a review stating the View Finder isn't good if you wear glasses. I almost didn't buy the camera because of that review. It is totally false! I wear glasses and have a large correction in my prescription and the diopter adjustment works just like it's supposed to. This is a great little camera.

excellent performance compact camera
Compact size camera with pro quality performance. I ordered this camera for a trip to Tibet for light weight and its advanced control instead of taking the full-frame DSL due to high altitude with lowered physical strength.

My favorite camera PERIOD!
I own several cameras and have access to others at work (digital publishers) but hands down this is the camera that gets used the most. A camera in your hand is the best camera and with its size it is more often than not, in my pocket. Pricey but the best
I shoot daily and am a serious photographer, having owned everything from Hasselblad on. For something you can fit in your pocket, this is as good as it gets. I have owned each generation of this family and the version IV is worth the price of entry. Handy for Travel. I 'm interesting to have slow motion tool to use it. But I really don't like this product, because I set for 4K movie and active grid line, when I shoot something it suddenly changed to grey color and the grid line change to wide white line on both LED and the view finder I cannot to see my major object. Then I asked SONY USA and Tokyo, they said several way to adjust on the menu. In mu knowledge I cannot handle to set somany things and final I returned the product. I am not recommend to anybody else to buy this product.

Great Camera!
I had been looking for a pocket camera that shot RAW at a high resolution. Many cameras fit these requirements but I was especially attracted by the super slow motion option. I've tested the slow motion a few times and was very impressed with the quality of the video. Coming from a Canon background, the menu takes a little getting accustomed to, but nothing very daunting. It is a good deal heavier than I imagined, but I guess that's because of all the good stuff inside!

terrific camera
I thought that the model 3 couldn't be beat, but this is even better. The focus is faster and the high ISO is much better as well. I haven't tried the 4K video, but I am sure that it is good as well, since the HD AVCHD is so good.

Powerful little camera
This is the camera that you can carry just about everywhere and capture very high quality video and stills. The AF system is fast and accurate. Love the color from the .jpgs...haven't had a chance to shoot RAW yet. Its fun playing with the high frame rates, but I wouldn't count on 480 or 960 for professional applications as the noise level gets high. 4k video looks great! Superb pocket camera !
1. I like the slow motion feature. I'm having lots of fun with this option. 2. For photographs, I think this is the best of the non-DSLR's. 3. I also own the M2 and the M3. The new M4 is the best of the lot and am very impressed with this camera.

I'm a pro, shooting for over 45 years. This is not a cheap camera, but if you want high quality in your pocket, this is the camera for you. I own plenty of cameras now and over the years and this is the one I travel with.
