Happy, happy
I'm still in my learning curve. I can carry the Sony RX10 in my purse. I have enough zoom to go after some wildlife.

Very Happy with my Purchase
At the time I became aware of this camera, I wasn't shopping for a new camera. Once, I read about the Sony DSC RX10 with the excellent Carl Zeiss 24 to 200 fixed lens, electronic viewfinder (EFV), and more, I became very interested. I was a bit tired of packing a camera and 2 heavy lens when on vacation. I wanted something with excellent photo quality but more portable. Whenever, I make a purchase of this magnitude, I want to research everything ... Show More

Great Camera
I was looking for a camera that I could use for travel without carrying a bunch of extra lenses and at the same time being able to get good quality files. I've been testing this camera for three days and I like a new feature that I haven't used before: peaking, which is great for manual focusing. At this time the only inconvenience I have found is that my software can't open the RAW files, I can see the files with the Sony software, but for my wo... Show More

Great Point and shoot
Very good camera, however, it is larger and heavier than I thought it would be. I was going to replace a Sony a65, however the Rx10 is as big and slightly heavier. I took a number of images and was very pleased with them. The build quality is very good, the only thing is the aperaure ring on the lense seemd to be in the way on my hand holding the grip.

Sharp Images
First thing I did was a test to compare sharpness with other cameras I own (compact Canons, Leica d-lux). The features are easy to figure out and navigate and the ones I like to use are easy to access (+/- exposure, setting f-stop/shutter combination). I like how the view screen tilts - I took some macro shots with the camera right on the ground. So far the perfect camera for me - a step up from compact, but not the bulk of a SLR. The only proble... Show More

Another Nice Sony
After having been delighted with previous Sony purchases (RX1 & RX100), I decided that this camera would be a fine addition to my collection. I find that this camera is more than capable of fine-art quality 11x14 and perhaps 16x20 prints (I shoot a Hasselblad digital camera and up to 8x10 film, so know what acceptable quality is). This camera excels as a walk around camera or a light-weight unit to carry on a hike through the woods. Because of th... Show More

Outstanding Groundbreaking Camera
Super image quality, even high ISO of 3200 is crisp and clear. Video has to be seen to be believed, amazing HD quality. Superb 24-200 Zeiss lens, great range, fast constant f/2.8, did I mention SHARP! Built like a tank, no lightweight here, a quality chunk of technology. Very versatile, customizable buttons galore, or put it on Auto and shoot without worry. A go anywhere, do anything answer, with quality optics, sensor, lens and build quality. Highly Recommended.

Loving it so far, mostly for video
I miss my EX1, or rather, i miss the parfocal smooth ENG zoom lens that goes with such a camera. It's something we're missing in the interchangeable lens market. At the moment, sony is the only one making decent range power zooms, but they're not even constant max aperture. The 24-200mm equivalent F2.8 lens of the RX10 was by far the most attractive thing to both myself, and probably everyone else who saw the first spec sheet. The pairing of the ... Show More

No Support from Adobe Camera RAW
Great Camera, all is excellent, but I'm not able to see raw files either on CS6 camera raw or on the preview viwer on my mac, not even in lightroom.

BEST SONY CAMERA EVER
This is the best Sony camera I ever had. Much better quality than full frame A7, which made me disappointed more than anything. RX is solid, rich, stable, with great lens, excellent lens!!! I am amazed.

Really disappointed with this camera
I'll keep this review short. My first day of shooting produced a few good macros and countless wasted landscape shots. The landscapes at 100% showed massive aberrations, globs of colors about five feet tall by three feet wide in the shadows, mixed in with softball-sized square pixels in midtones. In bright sunlight, the camera produced very soft images that were so bad that I packed the camera to be sent back as soon as I saw the results. There is a...
