I love my Sony cameras
Moved from a Sony HX 50v to this Sony HX 80 and I'm very pleased. The feature that Ilike most is the pop-up view finder, this allows for more stable long zoom shots and is a big improvement from the LCD screen in bright sun. P.S. the Sony LM-15 screen protector does fit the HX-80.

Good camera
Ordered this for a smaller light weight camera and it is that. I have arthritis in my hands so found it difficult to use the functions so I'm returning it. I only tried taking a few pictures and did not download them, they looked pretty good on the screen though.

Another great Sony camera
I bought this camera to replace an older Sony camera because I needed a lightweight yet functioning camera to take on safari. It's pretty easy to use but has so many features, including 30x zoom and pop up viewfinder. I'm so excited to use it!

Perfect camera for travel
Size is small enough to fit in a pocket.I have the older model and it is still very good. This new model HX-80 with the pop up viewfinder is outstanding. Faster and easier to use with very long zoom. Image quality is excellent.

Excellent zoom
Too early to tell much. Important: Doesn't come with memory, which is mandatory. Default setting doesn't correct for redeye, which is absurd if you're an amateur (i.e., regular person). You also need a case.

ISO Automtico.
Working with automatic ISO, I noticed that the exposure compensation does not work, that is, I can not compensate the exposure for manual exposure with automatic ISO.Good for day to day.

Point & Shoot with a VIEW FINDER
Love this camera! Compact, feature packed, selfie screen, VIEW FINDER! Get the Sony leather case (Sony incorrectly says it only fits the HX90) and you'll have a classy little unit!

Great camera
Camera, came with carrying case, battery and camera disk. I charged the battery and took my first shot of the camera and paperwork. Looks good, easy to use and takes great photos.

Great camera, but some limitations
The only issue I've had is the lack of manual focus. Sometimes outside, you want the focus on infinity for distance objects, and the auto focus will pick up on closer objects.

A good point-shot camera for travel.
We bought DSC-HX80 for our Alaska trip (don't want to carry my DLSR). It's small and easy to use. The picture quality is pretty good. we are happy with it.

I would buy this product again.
Use this camera primarily for recording & posting videos. For me it does all I need it to do for 1/2 the price of other cameras in it's class.
