Great Camera, don't buy for Slog-3
everything I read online was very true, except the only thing i am not very impressed with is slog-3. it is very noisy, and exposing 2 stops over every time will blow out highlights, making the dynamic range equivalent of the regular cine profiles. other than that, love the camera and would reccomend it to anyone!

Good Camera (Overall)
Love the image quality of the camera and the SLog2. The SLog3 is a gimmic. It shoots flat but with high amounts of noise in the low lights. The slow motion also is a gimmic because of the 1.6 crop on 60fps and 2.2 crop on 120fps. Image quality suffers during slow motion shooting. But overall I love the camera.

Majestic
been using canon for 5years not and just decided i'd switch to the sony a7sii. love it overall. the ISO capabilities, and the ability to use non sony lenses was a plus coming from canon. The only CONS are ridiculous rolling shutter. Not as long lasting battery (easily fixed by battery grip or 3-4 batteries).

Awesome Camera for Video
I got this camera with the intent for using it for video, and it is an amazing video camera. I went from a canon Dslr to this and I never knew how I went so long without all of the features this camera has to offer. I have no complaints for it video wise. But, it is clearly not meant for still photography.

Best camera I have ever used
This is my pride and joy. I bought this SONY with a metabones adaptor and Canon 24-105 L lens, so far it has got me through a variety of different jobs, out on adventure shoots and in the studio. I you are looking for a light compact camera that is an absolute beast, then this is the one for you.

Formidable camera
I've been a Canon shooter for a los time. I even shot a feature film with Canon. I made the switch to Sony and couldn't be happier. The menu is easy to use, all my EF lenses attach to the Metabones adapter and work flawlessly. The internal 4K made it for me and the amazing low light performance.

Fantastic camera!
This camera is fantastic, capturing cinema-quality images and will serve my work as a documentary filmmaker. I still need to improve on the features it offers, but from the little I've used, I was extremely satisfied and recommend it to anyone who wants to buy it. It's worth the investment!

Looks are everything
Looks great. Can't wait to buy the next version when I have enough money. Only 1 star because the record button is still in a bad spot.... Unfortunate...I never like dislocating my fingers so I did it to my DP. Also, I can't film with it because I don't have a lens... Poor manufacturing...

Love this camera
I believe in this proce range there is no better camera you can buy at the moment. The native 3200 ISO lets you shoot in really low light situations. The different framerates are a great plus as well. Just add a nice cage to this camera, attach your monitor and you are ready to run and gun

Fantastic Camera even for beginners!
This is my first mirrorless camera and it is incredible! The image quality is outstanding and Slog3 has incredible dynamic range. I took this camera to a car event and filmed everything in Slog3. You can see how the camera performed here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3SCe3IymrM

Great camera for awesome video.
Great video and still images. I used to buy all canon, but this camera has converted me to all sony. Dont get me wrong, canon is great, but in my personal opinion, this is better. Yes, its not an all metal body, but the material used does not feel cheap either. Its a solid camera!

The best ILC for video on the market
Love this camera, works great with the other big FS5 & FS7 Sony camcorders as a B-camera, or on its own for smaller work, and the lowlight is insane. I'm glad I purchased this camera from B&H, not only was the process easy, but I purchased the a7S II with a free $200 gift card.

The low light monster!
If youre looking for a camera that shoots video in low light, look no more. Surprising that this camera was built in 2015 and is still Sonys best low light DSLR for video purposes. Crazy how good the ISO works on this camera. Excited to see what the a7s iii will have to offer

Are you serious?
I cannot believe the clarity At high ISO's interior video with very poor light source 4K 30fps 60 shutter speed at f4 with ISO up to 10,000 with ZERO NOISE! Total game changer for my video biz! Pretty sad when your b-roll camera is better than your main rig! Way to go Sony!

Definitely worth the money
So much potential with this camera and I haven't even scratched the surface! The interface is user friendly and there are so many features on this it's crazy. The picture quality is fantastic. This is my first large camera purchase and it was definitely worth the money.

Best Video Low Light Camera Out There
I have tried this camera for the last couple of weeks and it works flawlessly in low light. Autofocus in low light also accurate. I shot a video at f/8 25000 ISO 1/50 and it was grainless. Highly recommended. The Sony FE f/4 lenses are now usable for low light video :)

The camera is great most the times
For video the camera its very good, with good conditions the images you can produce are very interesting, the full frame gives an extra ingredient. The only thing its the 8 bit codec that compress the image very harsh and don't let them shine in their full potential.

Coming from a 5DM2
My main camera is an FS7 and I had been using my 5dm2 for a B cam. The A7s ii is much better suited for video work than my old 5dm2. Nothing against Canon as it had served me well, but this is a much better match. The HFR recording is a real plus along with 4k.

Careful with a bug
The camera is excelente, but some are coming with a bug and mus t be prepared. Something happens the the camera doesn't turn on. Appear a massage Thurn off and than turn on when it stars and stay in this massage for very tries. Test your camera before buy.

4k Video. 5 Axis Stabilized. Low Light BEAST!
All the rumors about this being the low light beast are true. We primarily use the camera for production videos for marketing destination and the results are incredible. Just like the A7S but way, WAY, better. It's really mind blowing, no exaggeration.

Great Camera
I use this camera all the time.. so lite and easy to use. Once you set the C1 buttons to move faster through the menu changes its simple. Compared to CANON the Autofocus is a joke. But if you are ok with Manual focus the quality is better then Canon.

One very nice camera
I purchased it to put on a Steadycam Merlin 2. There's definitely a learning curve on the Merlin 2 but I got the A7SII to balance and I'm starting to get the hang of it. The A7SII outputs great video and it's a low-cost way to move into 4K from HD.

Used on travel televisions shows
The lowlight capabilities make this camera so powerful, especially for the travel shows that I work on. Filming indoors with no light? No problem. Adding a cage and the Sony XLR to hot shoe adapter makes this camera a legitimate professional rig.
