THis camera has a very quick processor and takes excellent shots. Easy to use dials make it user friendly. The size at first is daunting as it is really small. Not being tech savy I was at first intimidated by the functions but after a day of shooting I have most everything down pat. The user guide is awful and not helpful at all. That it doesn't come with a battery charger is absurd. Great travel camera.

Great pocket camera

great camera
Love this camera, comparing it with my nikon d7000 it outperforms it in almost every category except in low light. it's compact & light yet powerful and intuitive this is now my daily camera, I would have give it 5 stars however it has several issues, besides its short battery life the memory card is cumbersome to remove/install because its so close to the battery and the shutter speed is max at 40000 and some of the controls are not usable in certain settings, otherwise this could have been perfect camera!.

Black Friday Purchase
This camera is amazing. Bought on Black Friday. I came from a Cannon XT which is pretty old. Going from that to this was black and white. I bought the 50 mm lens with this body and takes great photos in low light conditions. It's small and light and worth every penny. The only downside I see is the short battery life. I recommend getting an extra battery if you shoot a lot.

Great having a viewfinder
Nice step-up from the NexF3N. The hot shoe is much preferred over the screw in connection on earlier Sony ILC's. The viewfinder is excellent. On prior models with no viewfinder, I had too many occasions where the LCD screen was washed out, which meant shooting blind. My only complaint so far is the location of the SD card slot up against the battery compartment cover. Not too bad getting a card in, but tricky to remove.

Terrific Camera!
The Sony A6000 is both lightweight and powerful. I love the 11fps feature with autofocus in-between each shot. Face recognition and tracking are handy as well. Love the 24 megapixels. Can take great indoor shots without flash. There's a great video by Jason Lanier (pro photographer) on YouTube titled 10 Reasons Why a Professional Photographer Left Nikon and started shooting with Sony, which highlights this camera's strengths. Also, do a google search for an in-depth instructional video by Gary Fong (another pro photographer) called Unleashing The Power Of Your Sony A6000. Step-by-step GREAT!

Good Little Camera
I was looking for a camera in the 500 to 700 dollar range and this came up as well as a couple of DSLRs. I chose this camera over the others because of its compact size, which makes it easier to take with me (and a camera is only good if you actually take it to different locations for pictures). The camera also has a decent selection of lenses.

Somewhat Amazed
This is a marvelous, wonderful and sharp, at least in the center very much so. I've read a lot of bashing about the kit 1650 3.55.6 lens, but in the center it is very sharp SOOC. I'm shooting RAW,neutral settings, files and still there is nothing much needed in Lightroom prior to export. I had a Sony Nex-6 and I that was a great camera. That experience gave me the interest to buy the A6000 and it's a definite upgrade. I shoot with Canon and I used to shoot with Nikon and I have to say that Sony has done a great job with A6000. It's really the right camera for many people. I bought this camera kit as a companion to my canon 7D. For light travel, it is awesome, although I need to test with additional lens combinations, to see it matches up to the 7D with a 24-105, or 70-200 2.8. Packs way more power for the price
I bought this camera for my wife as a Christmas present. Finding that it's a really nice mirror less camera and with a Nikon to Sony adapter I can join some really great lenses to the body to get great looking shots. Great online store, great camera!
I always have great experience purchasing in B&H. Awesome product at really low price. Performance, customization, image quality, fast AF, perfect size and weight are all super remarkable at a low price. My process flow changed. JPGs are reliable results, fast AF, options are great. Shooting is easy in M mode, just set your options right results are great. Set 3 memory settings and no need to waste time thinking of settings needed when shooting. Sony A6000 a great camera
I bought this to replace a Canon EOS M, a nice camera with a slow autofocus. I have become a confirmed mirrorless camera user, as I think these are fast approaching the sophistication of DSLR's. Sony advertises the A6000 as having the fastest autofocus, and it is very fast. I can get good shots of active kittens with this camera. The built-in flash is a nice touch as well. Controls are well-placed and I like the extra wheel. Picture quality is good (I shoot raw, so I can adjust where necessary). I do miss having a touchscreen, but that's about it for cons.

you get a lot for what you pay here. First, 24M pix on a ASPC sensor is aswesom. Secondly the size of this camera is just a notch above the size of a point and shoot. Third, the tilt screen is an upgrade over my DSLR cameras (Nikon). Forth, I'm now wishing my other cameras had an EVF! You don't know what your missing until you get a camera with one. I am REALLY happy with this camera. The controls are intuitive and the ease of use is remarkable. Coming from a Nikon background, I thought that I would have a lot of difficulty learning the new system. Perfect Camera
This camera was recommended by a friend and a professional photographer We are going to take a month trip to Europe and this camera will be ideal. Right now I am learning all of its benefits. Great size and it makes great photos. It takes some effort to use all its options but that is not a negative. The price and capabilities are perfect for us.

Great step up from point & shoot!
This is a great camera to grow into. I was tempted to get a bridge camera, but I'm glad I chose this one instead. Good automatic pictures, and I'll be able to grow into it as I learn to use the settings. Indoor photos without a flash look fantastic.

Great Camera
The camera is affordable, the lenses are OK, and I think it can not be beat at this price range. If you want to record videos, maybe you will need to get an external mic, because the internal mic of the a6000 is not that good. But if you are just recording only family videos, then you will be fine. I gave this product 5 stars because it is incredible for its price. Pro features in an amateur price range. Thank you, Sony!

Great quality
The camera is nice and sturdy, I do not get the felling it is cheaply made. The features that are turned off from factory are amazing, make sure to play around with them.
