Great Tele For a Point N Shoot
Very satisfied with the Sony WX500 camera. Like a lot of others nowadays most of my photo and video is shot with an iPhone. But an iPhone can't zoom like this camera. The 30x zoom is fantastic! Just have to make sure your stable when you use it. You just can't zoom like that with a phone and really any kind of zoom with a phone and you're talking pixel city. The Sony WX500: A Great Little Point and Shoot.
I currently own four Sony digital cameras: an Alpha 55, A7, DSC-HX30V, and now a DSC-WX500. I bought the WX500 recently because the view window on my HX30V was losing the emulsion finish and it was getting difficult to see an image being framed. I always wanted to have small camera with me. Here we go. Was said enough about picture quality. I would like to note things that I would like to improve: 1. Turning on: this is compact camera; it is always with me and I would like to have fast turning on to be able take a unique picture. Small point-and-shoot with a great zoom
I got this camera before taking a week long cruise to Alaska and was immensely pleased with it. It doesn't have a viewfinder, so my polarized sunglasses had to be taken off for vertical shots, but that's a very minor inconvenience in my opinion. The image quality, even at 30x zoom, was amazing. Amazing camera with excellent zoom
I've had a lot of different point and click camera and this one is the best I've ever used. The picture quality is great and the zoom is incredible. I bought it to use on Alaskan cruise and it was able to take crystal clear pictures from really far away. The only thing is the screen can be a little hard to see in bright sunlight, so I woudl recommend the next model up that has a viewfinder

A fantastic companion camera, especially to an RX-100 series
We own an RX-100m2 for a couple of years now, and thoroughly enjoy it. However, what the RX series lacks - large optical zoom capability, this WX500 is a powerhouse of! When these two are used in consort, we can honestly say - for our use and purpose, it replaces the need for any full frame equipment! Way to go SONY for making a sensible, compact option that has the best of both worlds.

Fantastic camera
I bought this to replace my Panasonic Lumix, seemed like a great camera but the pictures always came out awful no matter the setting. I bought this Sony specifically for kids activities and low lighting. So far it's been great, very user friendly and many settings to choose from for basic point and shoot. Selfie screen is coll but not what I bought it for.

Sony DSC-WX500
I use this small camera to replace a Kodak 5MP camera for general photography. The 30X zoom is great and the 18MP give me good resolution on zoom shots. The size and weight are right for use anywhere a smartphone has problems. The LED screen could be a little brighter in sun light and the absence of a view finder is a negative.

this was a great experience ordering from B &H. I received my camera in a few days and I already love it. I am still getting to know it but so far It has taken some really good photos!. I did go buy a memory card 32 GB which the camera requires. I love the white...it looks so cool and is lightweight. Overall Great camera!

Great Camera
This is a great compact camera. Lens quality is excellent, easy to handle. Took it on a trip to South America, and used it for stills, movies, panoramas with ease. Flip screen is very helpful; screen hard to view in bright sunlight.

Good camera
Takes great photos, it does get a little fuzzy with the zoom. My only dislike is you cannot see the screen in the sun at all - you point the camera and hope for the best. A viewfinder would make it perfect.

Great camera with awasome flash
We were happy with tge camera and the customer service. The only down side is that images are not so clear when shooting indoors. And that you need to manually open the flash. But the colors are amazing.
