Incredibly good lens
Have had this lens for almost 6 months. Have taken some pictures of the moon with 2X teleconverter. The result is absolutely fantastic. Used Sony A99 II Camera. My lens i mounted onZenelli CARBON ZC Compact Gimbal Head.

I have moved up from the Minolta 300 2.8N APO lens and this new version from Sony is just staggering, the ability to use it wide open and with lightning focus speed even with a teleconverter attached is just incredible.

An Amazing Lens
My main photography interest has been photographing birds on the Texas coastal marshes. I have been using the Sony 70-400mm lens for a number of years, mostly on an A77 or A99. Generally I was very happy with this lens, but I was struggling using these combinations at dawn or dusk.
