No installation kit. What?
Ordered this from BH to install in the HP Z240 tower I had ordered from them. What do I know? It came and looked pretty but there was no way to install it without a metal mounting plate adapter, related screws and an extra SATA cable. Why didn't B&H know this. Like I said in my other review of the AMD Radeon graphics card that was also part of this SNAFU, BH is super awesome with cameras and I love them for that over our long photo relationship. Nothing but the finest. In the future, though, I'll buy my computers at a computer store.

Supercharge your PC
Neighbor has a 4-year old HP All-in-one PC that was running slow. Quick glance showed the spinning hard drive was the bottle-neck. B&H delivered the 860 EVO in 2 days. Cloned SSD using Samsung's data migration software, and it worked perfectly. Bottom Line: PC runs faster than new. Neighbor thrilled.

Great upgrade for my iMac 21.5
The 21.5 iMac comes with a ridiculous 5400rpm hard drive that acts as a bottleneck when it comes to its performance. I replaced it with this SSD... it is like having a new (and much faster) computer.

Great drive, great migration software
I have two Samsung solid state 500 GB drives, one as an external for backup, and just replaced the internal hard drive in my dell laptop with a second one. The drives have sped up everything, the migration software was simple to use, and The Magician software sped things up even more

pretty fast but but not up to NVMe speeds
Crystal Disk Mark stats attached, this is in the brand new ASUS G531GV laptop. My NVMe is 1244/1784MB/s read / write however.

Great drive
I've exclusively used Samsung SSDs for about 7 years. This is my first non-Pro version. Plug and play, no issues, as it should be. In most user scenarios the EVO line is fine. If you have VERY high data usage (lots of writes, as I do) I'd still go with the Pro, which are built for greater durability in terms of how many terabytes can be written. Great Upgrade for Mac Mini
Got this to upgrade a Mac mini and it works perfectly. Much faster than the stock drive, of course. The extra headroom is a real plus. Highly recommend. Enabled TRIM and that seems to be working fine, too.

Perfect Replacement for Samsung 1 TB Drive
Between windows updates and video editing software, my old 1 TB drive filled up. I was able to clone it to the 2 TB drive in less than 3 hours using Samsung software. Works perfectly!

I trust Samsung brand SSD.
I have been a fan of Samsung internal SSDs for a while. I am replacing all the HDDs to SSDs in all the office computers to cope with the demending work flow. Also, this has been a great way to extend the life of the older computers. This 500gb 860 EVO has been very cost effective and performs flawlessly for over many years. So, I have been buying more of it. Why risk using any other product when it works without a single problem. I recommend this to everyone who are looking for a trouble free SSD.

Great drive, authentic Samsung 4TB drive
One thing I can ALWAYS count on with B&H is that the tech stuff they sell is authentic. I bought two of these exact drives from another major online seller (name withheld), and in both instances the drives were obviously counterfeit. I gave up and went to B&H, knowing they are more careful. I got the new drive from B&H, perfect condition, and clearly authentic, the correct size (4TB), everything perfect. B&H is now an absolutely essential supplier of tech stuff that simply must be authentic.

Fast external drive solution with USB-C enclosure!
I bought this to install in an INEO USB-C 3.1 enclosure and use for video editing. As with all Samsung SSDs, this thing is rock-solid. Excellent performance and unmatched durability. What more can you ask for regarding hard drives?

True to spec. Perfect tool for creative laptops users
Samsung Magician confirmed the speed true to spec. File transfer speeds and access speeds are also true to spec. Install Samsung Magician beforehand. I had to activate and format this disk in diskpart from command prompt as Windows Disk Management did not display format option.

How to get your Windows performance number maxed.
HDD's are the slowest peripherals in the PC today, plus use a lot of power, which is the bane of laptops. I'm on my fourth Samsung SSD now and will be going for number five. The task is getting the OS cloned to the new SSD. Samsung's. Their software works OK but has some limitations, it only works one way, you can't clone back to the HD. Also it will only clone the boot drive in the PC you are cloning with. My laptop only holds one HDD so I wound up buying one of those stand-alone cloning devices. That worked but it took hours!

Price, speed, reliability
I currently have 6 of these SSDs in various sizes and have never had one issue from them. This is my 1st terabyte drive, but as expected, it performed just like the others. If you compare these Samsung SSDs with everyone else's specs you cannot beat the read/write speeds and price/Gb that these drives offer

I had a 2TB hard drive on my laptop and the performance was hideous every time I waited a while to use it. Windows updates and defender would make my laptop useless for an hour or more. So I bought this SSD. Easy Upgrade
