Came in non retail box but with manual. First time impression from Microsoft cam. Fells very quality build. Just plugged in and Win 8 installed all the drivers and the software. Never use to use any software for webcams but this one is extremely fun with real time effects which applies on every software that uses the webcam. Video chat is very realistic with no frame drop. Good quality in low night.

Unbranded Package
I bought 40units of Microsoft LifeCam HD 3000 Webcam, when I took delivery I was disappointed to see they were all in unbranded packs without an indication of the product name on the packs. I immediately sent a mail showing my displeasure & attaching images of my product expectations in contrast to what I received and never got a response till date.

Great Cam, Great Price
This webcam has a great picture with fixed focus. I use it for skype mostly. This webcam also has a buit in microphone, which works well, but I usually supplement with a USB conference mic for better quality and range. The mount is universal but its still a little awkward to afix to pc monitors.

Absolutely Useless with Windows 8.1
This webcam does not work. It is apparently not supported, nor is the current version of the driver. It WILL work with a much older Windows 7 driver, but until Microsoft cleans up their software DO NOT BUY. Also it is tiny and has poor resolution. Even for the price, it's a huge gamble.

hd video stream is super nice.
We got this for conference calling with our remote offices. We link it up with Skype accounts and since it has built in microphone, it's a complete solution. What I did not expect is such clear crisp video quality - especially when compared to a smartphone. Great solution for the price.

Great Camera at the best price
This being a Microsoft product it is definitely a great plug and play option for cameras. No drivers or configuration. Windows installs everything. Reafy to be used with Skype, Lync, GoToMeeting, Hangouts or any of the other group video meeting applications.

This camera is just what I needed
Looks great , B&H got it here when it was targeted, no issues at all. only problem is it doesn't work with Skype to good/ i get video or my son doesn't or he gets video and I don't puzzling.? any one got the answer let me know / windows 10

Decent
After a Windows 10 update the embeded camera in my laptop stopped working and decided to give a shot to this economic camera, as I said is decent for the Price but for sure on higher Price range we can find better wecams, again Decent.

Does what it's supposed to do.
Just plug it in to a USB port, download the driver and it works. I use it for Skype calls and podcasts. I haven't had any problems and the picture quality on my 24 monitor is excellent.
