Great performance and professional form
I wanted something that combined a professional look and enough power for gaming, and lucky for me Lenovo can cover both. Have had the computer for about 2 weeks, and it works great. Having some driver issues with older games, which is apparently common with the RTX card, but hoping that will be addressed with updates in the next few months and works incredibly well with most games on ultrahigh settings at 1980x1080. Value for your money!
This was my first purchase from B&H and I am pleased with the high level of customer service I have received. This laptop is incredibly lightweight and the value which you receive for the specs is noteworthy. The laptop was promptly shipped, well packaged, new as stated and arrived on time. Incredibly fast for an excellent price.
I bought this laptop on sale for $1299, it had the best specs of any laptop I could find for the price. I'm a professional photographer and I needed a fast laptop to speed up my workflow in Lightroom and Photoshop as my old laptop was really starting to lag behind. This laptop is fantastic!
I purchased a MacBook Pro in 2013 as a personal laptop for school. I was looking to replace this laptop. I decided to try the Y540 because of all of the mid-range specs, at an incredibly affordable price. The gpu/cpu is amazing for gaming while the design makes the laptop work or business appropriate. The only downside is battery life. The laptop does in an hour while gaming, and has a 3 hour battery life while checking emails and surfing the web.

Loving It
So Far i'm loving this laptop, its much thinner and lighter/durable than i had previously anticipated. Its definitely a step up from my previous Alienware 15r4. Amazing machine
This is a great laptop for gaming or work. I love how quiet the fans are, and the 1 TB M.2 SSD helps a lot. The battery life isn't great, so you do have to stay near a power outlet if you work longer than a couple of hours. And you should use a power outlet if you are gaming with any gaming laptop.

Amazing specs, especially for its price. the fact that it has 1tb of ssd and no hdd was one of the factors that pushed me to buy it, since you'd generally want as few moving parts as possible in a laptop. The main and biggest flaw is its battery life, which lasts for ~2-3 hours, when doing everyday tasks; ie not when gaming. You'll want to carry your charger if you plan to take the laptop outside. Great machine for the price
Got this primarily for software dev and gaming on the side. The price is hard to beat, considering the rtx2060 and 1tb ssd. Machine runs pretty cool out of the box, and it undervolts well for even more headroom. Comes with a cable for a 2nd drive, and supports 32gb of ram. Great laptop for a great price
So far my only complaint is a small creaking noise that comes from some parts of the chassis (its not a huge deal it only happens if i apply pressure to those areas). Other than that it is great.

Great Design and Touchpad!
I wanted a laptop mostly for schoolwork, but also wanted it to be capable of 4K gaming, and it does both very well. First off, this laptop looks amazing. I've tried two of these now - sent in the first because of crackling and popping both through the speakers and the headphones. Great machine
My second Lenovo after six years with an Y510P wich ran like a charm and is still going. Great 144hz screen, RTX2060 -more then enough for me-, great build quality (no creaking sounds, no bendind of the keyboard), very silent on normal use (you can hear it when gaming). Gets a little hotter when gaming but nothing out of the ordinary. Hope is as reliable as the old one.

DOA
Video card not working on initial start up. Turned off and started again, still not working. Back light is on, but no video, only Cortana talking us through the setup with nothing on the screen. Turned off and on a third time and it finally came on. After finishing set up. lifted back of laptop to plug in power cable and screen went blank again. Will return and try a replacement unit.

Games well, nice feel, lightweight for its performance
The only issue I've had so far is that the sound quality is subpar. The speakers crackle a little bit and the volume output is lower than on my previous Lenovo laptop (an old ideapad). Otherwise, I'm happy with this laptop and it runs my games and painting software nicely. However, I've only had it for 2 weeks, so I have no idea how it will hold up over time.

Great But Not Amazing
Pros - VERY fast - this laptop is a powerhouse - Looks nice - Great screen - Good Lenovo Vantage software features Cons - Weird placement of some keys on the keyboard. - VERY low volume on speakers Personal thoughts: I thought I'd be ok without touch screen. I'm not lol I'd rather have the touch screen than the 144hz screen. For a $1200 laptop, I'm a little underwhelmed by the finish of the body.

Worth every penny
Even though FedEx gave me a hard time trying to get my package rerouted to a local store for pickup (wouldnt be home for the signature), I have totally fallen in love with this laptop!! Great Laptop
So far so good. No complaints. I already had a cooling pad, which seems like a good idea since the laptop seems to get pretty hot. But that's just based in comparison to my company issued workstation laptop with no video card. This is my first gaming laptop and I'm not a big gamer (yet). Super Fast but Battery Burns Out as Fast
This computer is SO FAST and awesome. Love that it has a full-sized keyboard, screen and image quality, and graphics. BUT, man, the battery barely lasts 4 hours. Full charge = 3.75 hours. I don't know what else I can do to improve it.

The Lenovo Legion Y540 laptop is a great buy! Ive had it for 2 weeks and have been very impressed with its power. I play a couple games on average of 2-3 hours each day with all settings on High/Very High. Ive maintained high FPS with no slow down or hiccups. The keyboard has a nice feel and is durable.
