DJI Mavic 2 Zoom with Smart Controller
Everything I Expected.

Outstanding quadcopter for the photographer on the move!
My 8th(?) drone, and 3rd flying camera from DJI. The design improvements are astounding and geared for the traveling photographer. The folding arms, propellers, protective camera cover, controller, etc. are ideal for compact carry in the included soft case. Awesome Drone
Bundled with the Smart controller this is the best Drone I have. The drone is rock steady in 20 mph wind and the video footage is great. The Smart Controller makes it so easy to get going. Best controller ever!!!

Excellent camera and drone
Of all the prosumer drones being sold, bought this one for the camera. I desired cinematic aesthetics. So I needed to match the quality of a good lens with the intelligence of a software capable to give me manual controls over the camera. Thats when Hasselblad and DJI coupled perfectly. This is my first drone so i included the care refresh kit as an extra insurance. Im not dissapointed. Since day one Id been taking breathtaking footage. I love this. Dont forget the fly more combo. Very soon you realize that you need more air time.

New Software update Handicaps the range
I had to switch back to my Mavic one and Phantom 4 because the new software on the Mavic 2 geofences practically everywhere I usually fly. My Mavic 2 is practically a paper weight in most locations I normally shoot.

Absolutely Love It
This is my first drone. I watched training videos and read the (whole) manual before flying it. Its been a lot of fun and the camera is very high quality. Obstacle avoidance is spot on. My only complaint is I wish you could move the gimbal horizontally without using the screen (touch and drag will work) only because its so easy to turn it far enough to capture the legs of the drone. But maybe with practice Ill find that isnt necessary or get used to how to do it right. Absolutely thrilled with my purchase.

WOW!
Not only is this drone amazingly smooth with the footage it grabs, the clarity is stunning!! Flying is really fun and this is my first drone!! So far only birds seem to be the biggest worry. It warns you when obstacles are near minus power lines. The signal is very good and we use it in not great WiFi spots. Still works amazing!! This is the way to go
My first drone was the Go-Pro which was OK, the second was the Mavic Air and now the Zoom. The Zoom has a longer fly time, is more stable and takes very good quality pictures. The Mavic 2 has a longer fly time and is very easy to control.

Gimbal Overload Errors
I have had many DJI products and this is the first product to be shipped to me with problems out of the gate. Read up on Gimbal Overload errors before you order a M2P. Mine is currently enroute to California for repair after two flights of gimbal problems. You might not be able to use yours out of the box and may be faced with dealing with DJI warrantee service instead of flying a drone.

DJI Care Refresh Kit process is very confusing!!!
More than 2 days after receiving the drone, I still dont have Care Refresh Kit activation code sent from DJI. DJI says its the dealers responsibility to send the activation card. Meanwhile, I activated my drone and only have 48hrs to activate the Care Refresh Kit which I dont have the activation code yet. This is really confusing!!!

Made me feel like an expert on the first flight
Great engineering. Dont know how they did it. Picture is not as good as the Pro but the zoom is fun and gives that cinematic telephoto look. Responds well. I flew it in a blizzard and the shots were smooth and gorgeous. its my first drone but Im really stunned.

Definitely a step up from the Mavic Pro Platinum!
I read some poor reviews from Mavic Pro owners who were disappointed in the Mavic 2 Pro. I own both and there is no comparison between the two in terms of image quality. The Mavic Pro Platinum was OK for video given the price point. The Mavic 2 Pro is awesome! Shooting Dlog-M in H.265 with 10 bit color is fantastic. There is some noticeable barrel distortion but thats an easy fix in post. It flies well. Easy to control. Very responsive in sport mode when you need to get into position quickly and smooth as butter in tripod mode. I prefer it to Inspire 1 (with original X3 camera).

Crash on second flight. Not a very happy camper.
The thread in the Mavic Pilot forum is a complete dissection of my experience with this new drone. Had it two days and two spontaneous crashes. Looks like the right rear motor failed yet recovered. I would be very cautions about using it over people until this error is researched. I would love to give it a better review. It is in the hands of DJI now. So far so good
Living in Canada, Ive only had 1 chance to fly my Mavic 2 Pro. I took it out for about 10 minutes in mid 30s overcast weather with 25-30 MPH winds. Flew very well. I took 3 photos and Ive had some mixed feelings about the Hasselblad camera. The quality of the colors, etc.. is great but on 2 of the photos Im getting a mild fisheye curve of the horizon when its not centered in the pic. Im sure DJI will release a firmware upgrade to correct this or find a way for this to be corrected in Photoshop since they have a correction for video distortion in Premiere Pro.

Really nice camera and drone
I have been waiting until GoPro fix their drone. I really waited something new on the market. But DJI company created stunning things, Mavic 2 pro with Hasselblad camera its incredible. Im really enjoy how easy to learn to fly and take amazing photos. Thank you so much!

Simplified my arial photography
I needed to repair my Inspire Pro but the cost of repairing it was almost as much as buying a new Mavic 2 Pro. I made my final decision based on the quality of the camera on the Mavic 2 Pro. Great upgrade!
I upgraded to the DJI Mavic 2 Zoom from a Phantom Advanced 3. I love all of the smart flying features this drone gives along with the lossless 2x zoom.
