I fly a lot for work and often take red eyes. Its really important that i sleep on the plane so i can stay sharp for my meetings. However i have trouble sleeping do to engine noise. Best noise-cancelling headphones
I've had several different types of noise-cancellers including top-end models by Sony and AKG. The sound quality of these is nearly-but-not-quite as good as the AKGs and way better than the Sonys, but the noise cancelling function is far better than either of them. These seem like magic when you put them on - all the roar of the aircraft engines disappears and you can get totally lost in the music you're listening to or the movie you're watching.

QC25 Work Great
I have owned a Bose QC2 for seven years and loved it. The QC25 are more comfortable and work better. They make air travel much more enjoyable.

Just The Best
You need sound to sound like it was made to sound these are for you. I work in Theatre and the Sound Dept said they are the best and they know about sound. They look ace not in your face like other brands, fit around ear great. and the noise cancelling is top.

tHEY REALLY WORK
This is the great product, you can tell when the noise cancelling is on it is incredible that they work so well. I was tempted to get a less expensive headphone and I am so glad that I didn't and went with the Bose.

Glad I bought this
I use these for blocking out ambient noise while reading/studying and working at home, and sleeping during the day when I'm working a week of night shifts. While it does not fully cancel out nearby voices and conversations, it does significantly decrease and muffle the intensity of the vocal and other ambient noise levels, and reduces the volume required from one's audio source (if listening to music or white noise). bose qc 25 headphones
I very much like bose products for their reliability, technical supremacy. I already own their desktop speakers,very compact, good sound quality, quiet comfort 3 headphones which I think are much better looking headphones in comparison to qc25, although sound quality is the same. lastly I have the bose portable sound dock (battery & mains),which travels with me everywhere. Overall I personally recommend any bose product

Bose QuietComfort 25
I use this product mostly when traveling which is why I wanted the Noise Cancelling functionality. The noise canceling function is superb. This also allows music to be played at a much lower volume since competing with cabin noise is not necessary, saving nearby passengers from the annoying sound leakage as well. I also like the iPhone capable cable which is also handy. The only thing I would add is Bluetooth capability to the Noise Cancelling model.

good enough
I listen to music mostly. I will use them for air travel shortly. They are comfortable and sound seems good. Not awesome but good. I can't speak yet of value to price until I see how the noise canceling works of the plane and how comfortable they are on long flights. So far so good. First time with around ears model so still getting use to them.

Very Comfortable
These have almost everything I look for in a pair of headphones. They are very comfortable and I can wear them for hours at a time, they sound great (though if you are looking for heavy bass look elsewhere) and they also have a thick breakaway cable which Older Bose headphones didn't have. They are very light so it is hard to say if they are very durable but so far I have yet to have an issue. The only flaw so far is you will always want to have a spare AAA battery with you because these headphones sound so much better with the noise canceling on rather than off.

Performed as expected
Just spoke to my wife who used them on an eight hour flight to Stockholm, Sweden. She said they were great. Weird to be so quiet on an airplane. Eliminated plane noise and greatly muffled talking on the plane. Allowed her to get some needed sleep. I bought the black ones for me, and my daughter will use then next week to join her in Oslo. Bought the Bose because of all the great reviews. If you are going to spend that much money, you might as well get the best in the first place and you will have them for a long time and never look back. She did not listen to music on them.

Awesome piece of technology
Love the new Bose headphones! I frequently use it to hear music and also to shut of worldly noises! the noise cancellation technology is awesome!! Overall the best headphones at this price I wish the price was a little less as it misses rechargeable Li batteries and no cordless technology. Moreover this can only be used with Apple products. Wonder why!

best noise cancelling, seems more durable than the qc15 which had plastic at the swivel joint, now made of metal in the qc25. Good sound quality and comfortable.

Great Headphones
Bought these to use on airplane trips and to transcribe dance lessons. Works great to keep a lot of the typical airplane noise out. Also I use a digital recorder with a lapel mile to record group ballroom dance lessons. These headphones really make it much easier to understand the instructors by shutting out ambient noise.

Bose Quiet Comfort Headphones Good value
I used them on a long flight and, for the first time, was able to sleep. They keep the noise out totally.The description on line did not mention the battery needed. an old Bose Headphone used their built in battery.

Astonishing
My son uses these headphones while on his ipad watching movies, tv shows, listening to music. While I was working out he offered to let me use his ipad and the phones to watch a movie. The noise cancellation was astonishing, he was standing behind me yelling my name and I didn't hear him. But the sound quality of the dialogue, music sound track, and sound effects were crystal clear. It's like listening in 3D.

I bought this product because I'm flying overseas a lot. The noise on airplanes is very loud and causes a lot of fatigue by the end of the flight. Pretty amazing product
You don't realize how much ambient noise is even in a quiet room until you flick on the noise-cancelling switch on these headphones. Wow, just amazing. Sound is very good too, and they are quite comfortable. Bought these for my daughter who is a grad student.

They're amazing
