Beats by Dr. Dre Beats Solo3 Wireless On-Ear Headphones (Satin Silver / Icon)

A bit bassy, but much better than I thought they'd be. Nice.

I listen to Rock, Country, Reggae, Jazz, and Pop mainly. These are not audiophile cans - please take this into account when considering these. They are fun bassy headphones, not flat. However, certain songs may suffer with the mid bass bump these headphones have. But even on the songs I've noticed this on, I lowered the volume a bit and that mostly quells the issue until the next song. If I'm listening to a whole album of similarly affected music... Show More, I can switch the EQ to bass reducer. On my Mac, I've created a custom EQ setting that has a 125hz dip to compensate. Really, the sound quality is very good, but is aimed more at modern music genres. The sound stage is good, separation of instruments is well above average IMO. The added functions included with Apple's W1 chip sealed the deal for me. So simple to pair with long battery life. My first choice was the Bose QC35, but they are over $100 more expensive and larger, less battery life, don't fold down as small as the Beats and don't have Apple's W1 chip. I would recommend these headphones to almost everyone looking for a good set of wireless headphones under $400. I hope this helps. Good luck.Show Less

Great quality headphones with just one little problem

The headphones are absolutely great, but the only problem I have encountered was the powering off in extremely cold weather. In fact the headphones powered off about four times in the same day. All in all the product itself is great, the quality and look is sensational.

Overpriced, but lovely all the same.

Pros: Build quality is lovely (robust, but light) and comfortable to wear over long periods. They connect seamlessly to Bluetooth, a fair few metres away. The rose gold finish is gorgeous. The sound quality seems very good to me but I'm no expert. Cons: Way overpriced. Seriously. Also there was a slight delay in sync I found when messing about with Garage Band on my Ipad Pro. Also, the storage bag is poor quality. It is a very snug fit and I fear that the zip will scratch them.

Beats solo 3 rose gold

Just got this and so far I love them. I had been using a wireless ear bud for the longest but I wanted something that produced a better music quality and louder. I use these predominantly to work out. First day of use so far perfect and everything I wanted. Function buttons on ear are perfect where and how they are and these headphones are quite dope.

Quality Sound and build

These headphones are not as boombastic as earlier beats (i.e. much better and realistic) . Also, the look of these is great and they don't feel cheap. Bluetooth rocks. Wireless is such a cool convenience.

Beats Wireless Solo 3

Wireless is definitely the way forward. Great headphones and bluetooth connection to mobile, laptop etc is pretty effortless. Sound quality good albeit a little bassy. The battery life is pretty impressive and charge once a week dependant on usage. Would definately recommend

Unbeatable quality

At first I couldn't believe I was about to spend that amount of money on a pair of headphones, but after I had tried them out for the first time I can now completely understand why these are the number one choice on the market. Excellent beats, love the colour.

These are fantastic, you certainly get what you pay for. This was my daughters main pressie. She's constantly wearing them. Luxurious, but well worth it.

Beats by Dre. Solo 3

The Solo 3 are just amazing. Really fast connection via Bluetooth, Using Siri is a blast, you can just ask for what song you want and Siri will play for you . You can use them to work out, they will never slide of your head . I could go on forever , absolutely unique design .

Impressed!!!

I have to say that I find that Beats Solo3 has finally produced a product that many will find to be just perfect. The build quality is very good...many have said otherwise but I disagree. The look is modern and very Apple iproduct. The sound has the bass that you want but not exaggerated. It's not a pair of German audiophile headphones but they are a great modern, well balanced headphones that you'll also like how easily they pair and you'll love the look

Excellent, my son loves them!

Had reservations about paying so much for a set of headphones however, as my son has used them almost all day every day since Christmas it looks like money well spent. He already had a wired set, so I didn't take too much persuading by his mother to get the updated wireless ones. Time will tell how good the batteries are with the recharging. They look very stylish and I would like a set myself!
