Bose Solo 5 All In One TV Sound System
Wow! What a sound bar!
I’m a huge Bose fan and own numerous Bose systems in my home. This solo system is another 5 star quality product from Bose as it looks and sounds absolutely fantastic. It tricks your mind into thinking that you’ve got about 5-6 speakers in the room as it produces a brilliant surround sound! It comes complete with all the cables you’ll need, just connect up and start enjoying quality sound! Look no further as this sound bar is the best you’re gonna get for this amazing price! Highly recommend it!

Good but not great
This soundbar was easy to set up.It's solid & looks & feels good quality.The sound is great,especially with the tv sound muted.My only slightly negative comment would be that this is a soundbar so don't expect to much.The speakers are all together in a row in front of the tv.The sound all comes from the front & tho it's definitely better than just coming from the tv itself I'm not sure they are worth £200.However Bose is a good name & it is a quality product so it depends what it is worth to you

As expected, another excellent Bose product
Bought this as my Samsung TV sound felt a little flat and I am certainly not disappointed in my choice. I mainly bought this for its overall size to fit neatly within my TV stand where as the majority of other sound bars were to long for my needs. I also paid more than my budget but I knew it would be worth spending the little extra to get this Bose product. Easy to set-up and the supplied universal remote control is now all I need to operate the TV, sound bar, DVD Player and BT Freeview box.

Compact soundbar with excellent sound quality
We were rather short of space for a full-width soundbar so this speaker system was ideal and the sound quality is excellent. Particularly impressive is the dialogue mode which enhances voice clarity - very handy with the modern tendency for actors to mumble. Excellent as a Bluetooth speaker for listening to music. Easy to set up and the Bose universal controller can be made to control all your other devices. All the necessary leads are in the box - no need for extra purchases. Top marks.

Bose Solo 5 is fab
We moved into our new house last year and have been buying items needed to make it your own house.Now we needed speakers for our TV in the lounge, have a LG 50' and went for Bose as have heard good reviews. Love it - clarity, bass,each sound item, foreground and background is crystal clear.Excellent purchase, Argos were prompt in delivery as usual so thanks to Argos team. Setting up was quite easy too. Only thing I would change is the size of the Bose remote - make it sleeker and small please

Bose Boom
The sound on the small Samsung LED TV is poor beyond belief so needed something to improve it but that something had to be of similar width and although I looked at a couple only the Bose had it all in one small box. A little over priced at Argos it was finding one in stock that proved more difficult - moving Argos into Saisburys in Sudbury wasn't a good idea as stock of anything is so limited Installation was a breeze and the sound is spectacular especially the bass from something so small!

Well, I have too say how very disappointed I was.
What a let down especially after being a massive Bose fan. I set the sound bar up a piece of cake, but when I turned it on I was so disappointed. This sound bar is a clear sound but has no base/ umph in it and I thaought I was still listening to my tv. I took it straight back all packed nice and new but be aware because you’ve plugged it in to try it is then classed as used and I was at first refused a refund until I said I wanted another sound bar . Be aware. Do not bye this product.

Great once it's up and running
This is a fine piece of kit, as you'd expect from such a well-respected manufacturer. It took me some time to set up, but then I have a reasonably old not-particularly-smart TV and a Sky+ box,. but some experimentation with the connections and Remote Codes has sorted it all. I should add that the Bluetooth set-up was extremely simple. Sound quality is of course excellent from Bose, and the item looks very smart. I'm delighted with it and would recommend it without hesitation.

A great addition
Had the soundbar for over a week now, some really punchy bass and clear top end. I have found you can loose the midrange if you up the bass too much but its simple to reset. Dialogue mode can be useful for normal TV. Bluetooth connectivity works well although range im not 100% is the best but not tried it on multiple device types to see if it's just my phone. Take the time to program the remote, well worth it. I had mine doing my TV, Virgin Media box and XBox within 10 minutes!

Choose Bose you won't be disappointed
Having worked with BOSE products for years I thought I'd try the Bose Solo sound bar with my new 55" TV. It was so easy to set up, basically plug and play using the optical cable supplied. The sound produced is subtle yet powerful. I didn't want a sound bar that relied on a separate bass bin for the low tones and I wasn't disappointed with the unit. Clear crisp high tones wake this the perfect addition to my entertainment system. If you want the hear the highs and lows choose BOSE!!

Quality Sound
I have a Sumsung TV and had bought a Samsung sound bar as we had problems with sound on some TV programmes, especially drama. Whilst this sound bar improved sound a little it was less good for music and the the sound from the bar and the TV didn’t synchronise so the TV sound had to be turned off. The Bose sound bar is far superior although of course more expensive. The sound is synchronised so it is an enhancement rather than a replacement and everything sounds better and clearer.

What a disappointment
We have had a larger Bose soundbar for several years, so bought this one as a replacement in a new house. The sound quality was such a terrible disappointment. No deep bass as usual, and worst of all it made the voices sound terrible during commentary. No depth to the sound whatsoever. Suffice to say it went straight back. This is not the usual Bose quality, I should have listened to the negative reviews. You needn't be any sort of audio export to realise this is not a good speaker.

Usual Bose Excellence ..
.. I have been listening to various soundbars that are on the market from the same manufacture as my TV, with this sound bar, it's 'straight out the box' plug it in and enjoy the full sound provided, you can adjust the bass if you need to, or if it is speech only programs then there is a button for that too! The only disappointment I have with the purchase is the lack of a wall mount bracket, which can be obtain from Bose. The remote will operate all TV, DVD functions with ease.

Bose Solo 5 Tv System
My reservation about this unit is that the volume is restricted to too low a level. I realise that if it became too loud it might become distorted. Nevertheless the maximum volume level is inadequate. We have checked the TV - a Sony Bravia - and the volume does not seem to be limited. If there is an obvious solution to this problem I will happily modify this review. I have no criticism of the quality of the sound produced. I should also say that the clarity of speech is good.

Bose Solo 5 So Good! Sounds amazing nice depth to
Bought this for my dad who is no techno and always used the tv sound. Needless to say he loves the sound! Very easy to set up and straight forward, once connected simply press the power button for instant improved sound. Soundbar comes with everything needed, All for One remote control can also be set up for TV etc. Built in bluetooth but isn't enabled with Alexa out of the box but this can be done via bluetooth and the Alexa app or simply connect a smart phone to play music.

Nice unobtrusive solo speaker unit .
Choice between this and a Sonos version . Chose Bose as wanted a unit with its own remote (Sonos requires phone app to use ) sound is good with tv if u can get volume up without disturbing neighbours but I like it because it has a voice enhancement button as very slight prob with hearing . As a speaker for using with smartphone or PC it’s very good with plenty of volume in my small front room . Make sure you have optical connection on tv for best quality sound .

Great Sound - Ideal Entry Point Quality Sound Bar
Bose Solo 5 TV Sound System - needed to replace my Sony 5:1 Surround System (over 10 years old) but wanted a less bulky replacement. Although this does not have the complete cinema experience - it does the job brilliantly. I can Bluetooth my iPhone to the Bose and play tunes on there which is a bonus. Easy to set up - only minus is that I have to put my Panasonic TV on mute when the Bose is on due to the echo from the TV's speaker - which I cannot turn off.

Looks great on the TV unit
The sound quality Is super, on setting the unit up I noticed that my Sony Bravia TV as it was over 5 years old did not have the correct connection at the back of the TV so I contacted Bose and spoke to a very helpful man who realised my predicament and informed me that I required a different cable to the ones supplied with the speaker and at no extra charge he posted me the cable I required which I received within 2 days and set up then was really easy !!.

Bose does it again!
After reading the reviews on this product I wasn't sure if it was just designed more for small rooms, how wrong was I! The sound is amazing in my larger room, I was really impressed by the crisp cinema sound when playing the tv through it but once I played my music through it via Bluetooth on my phone it was a whole new sound. Love it!! Easy to set up and now I only use the one remote for everything. I would recommend this to everyone. Worth the price.

This Bose is boss
If you're anything like me your think should I buy this, do I need this, can I live without it. If you've never had a sound bar you can live without it. Bur once you get one "oh my". We got the bose because we know how good they are and also we use the Bluetooth facility to play music from the ipod, iPhone and samsung gadgets. So this now has replaced our hi five. The sound is good haven't put it on full as we still like the neighbours. Happy viewing

Amazing
Amazing sound quality and easy set up . Had problems setting up my blu ray player code on the universal remote control however custom service, on the phone were fantastic and I was up and running in no time . Easy to connect to laptop and ipad for streaming music on the Bluetooth feature. This is perfect for a small room or bedroom and there are no wires all over the place ,dialogue on tv programmes is amazing and when the commercials come on WOW !

Dissapointing hardly switch it on
For music, much better than the TV and for action movies quite fun. However for anything else which has music in the background which is every documentary, advert and drama there is an annoying little thump of base which is there all the time no matter how far down you turn the bass. All in all a very unsubtle bit of technology and I guess I should have expected little more from a Bose at such a low price. It's going on eBay shortly.

The soundbar was a great present
It’s fairly easy to set up. Sound works but can’t see the volume on a Samsung TV and needs a separate remote to TV remote. Universal remote functions aren’t the same as TV remote but this is minor. All in all the product is very good for the price and provides good surround sound and musical sound for family entertainment. Best feature is that it has Bluetooth so owners and guests can connect using phones to play Spotify!

Small package with big sound!
Bought many home cinema speakers and this Solo 5 has to be my best purchase yet. Clear crisp sound with just enough bass when you need it. Only falls short in the 3D sound field. My separates still sound better when I watch a movie like Iron Man. Wish it came with surround sound speakers. That would be the ideal setup. Otherwise great for enhancing the sound of your TV. Its better for playing music and TV shows with just talking.
