Excellent Lens! Could've easily been the ONLY lens you need
This is my first lens purchase apart from the kit len(s). I own the 16-50 & 55-210 included with my A6300 body purchase. I spent way too much time researching lenses and decided this lens with the 55-210 would satisfy 99% of my needs/wants. With this lense being my primary lens.

Great lens, great value
I'm using on A6000. Lens is sharp, IS works great, nice contrast and color. Some say this lens is not so good at F4, however my copy is very good from F4, slightly soft in corners, but better than my other lens especially at the wide end. Very surprised at how good the lens is.

Extremely sharp lens
Needed a one lens for general shooting for my Sony NEX7. This lens gave me better and sharper photos than either of the two lenses that came with the camera. Could not see much difference in the photos taken with my Sony and this lens compared to Canon 1DX and an it's F4 lens.

A nice E-mount landscape lens
This is not top end glass but a good wide angle lens that allowed me try out the Sony A6000 before I make the big leap from Nikon to Sony mirrorless systems. This works great on the crop sensor A6000 and can be used on the full sensor 7 series when I eventually make the jump.

All around lens for a6600
I bought this lens as the all around lens for my new Alpha a6600 camera. It has been only 2 weeks since I started using it. Very happy with the performance both for still photography and videos. I hope to make full use of it. Extremely satisfied with the purchase from B & H.

Impressive Lens
I haven't had much chance to use this lens yet, but I am well impressed with it's operation. The AF and power zoom are very quiet, and should be ideal for videos (which is what I bought it for). It is rather large, although not heavy, and the fit and finish are excellent.

Not great in low light, but otherwise a great performer.
NOT a low light performer. BUT otherwise a great lens with a very useful zoom and a decent price. Pair it with the a6500 and you've got a good oudoor travel set up. A good compliment to this lens is a fast prime. Sigma 30m 1.4 or even the Sony 20mm 2.8 are affordable.

Great Lens!!
I bought this lens to shoot pictures in a gym at my sons basketball games. I have used it about 6 times so far and love this lens. some of the gyms were very low light and it did a great job. I have not used it for video yet but the movement is very steady and quiet.

Excellent value
I purchased the 18-105 lens as my single go-to lens for a number of trips I have planned for this fall. It was a good choice. The construction is solid, the action of the zoom/focus rings is true, and the 18-105 zoom range is ideal for nearly everything I shoot.

After getting my Sony a6000 with a kit lens, I wanted to add more lenses, but wanted to keep their size and weight small; the main reason for which I switched to Sony mirror less system. This lens fulfills that need, plus is very sharp and captures great color.

The only lens you'll need for your APS-C Sony cameras
When I switched from 16-55mm to this lens I wasn't expecting that big of a difference. Very sharp even at the longer end. I was'n sure about the f4 at the beginning but the IQ makes up for it. When you shoot at a distance it gives you smooth bokeh as well.

A great lens for the price point.
I got this lens to replace the rather frustrating kit lens on the a6300. I've been quite happy with the lens. Great build quality. It adds some weight to the camera, but you get used to it quickly. Having the constant aperture is great for shooting video.

Great lens for all purposes!
Lens for all purposes. F/4 is great for photos/videos during the day. Nice quality images. If you are going on holidays and do not want to carry heavy bags with lots of lenses then this is for you. Even for vlogging arm lenght is fantastic this lens!!!

My new go to walk around lens.
This is the lens that spends the most time on my A6500. It is super clear and the focal length works great for video and street photography. The power zoom is nice for video, however I find my self using the manual zoom ring when shooting photographs.

Real nice lens.
I paired this lens with my Sony A6000 and have enjoyed using it. It gives good, sharp images and the power zoom is so much better to use with video. I think its a good value for what you get(G spec glass) as a lot of Sony's lenses are so expensive.

THIS should have been the kit lens
If you're just starting out, don't get the kit lenses if you're gonna buy this. It's the best all around lens you'll ever buy for something like an a6300. And with Clear Image Zoom, effectively you're buying an 18-210 f4, which is insane for $600

Quite soft
I purchased this lens for general purpose walk around photo/video. I've come from Canon L glass and I found the lens to be far too soft for my needs. It's great for it's size and weight but I ended up selling this and upgrading to better glass.

Great lens for the Money
Reasonably fast and sharp. The power zoom is pretty much silent. While it is a bit on the large side when paired with a NEX body it feels very balanced. I would have preferred to see a 2.8 aperture, it's still a very nice lens for under $.

Good mate for the alpha 6000 or 6300
My best images are taken with the camera I actually have with me. This one won't fit in you pocket but it is light enough to take on hikes and trips. The power zoom is nice for video. It's very sharp for a zoom with this range and price

Pillow Distortion on FS100 & FS700
This lens maybe OK for NEX cameras, as they have internal Lens correction for it, but it's absolutely NOT good for video camcorders Sony FS100 and FS700.... ( maybe Sony will make softwar update for it, but I'm not sure it's possible )

Not a good len.Lot of vignetting, poor performance
I just used this len with Sony A6000 for few days.The len appearance is good, however when shooting I always get poor picture.If compare with Sony 10-18 lens, this 18-105 len not only made in China but giving me lot of poor pictures.

Legitimately earns the G Series moniker
Very good all-purpose lens. I've used it for taking shots of my kids around the house as well as at work photographing NCAA basketball on an A6000. I have been very pleased with the results and have absolutely no buyer's remorse.

Best lens for Sony A6500
Fast focus for Sony A6500 4k video. A must have for any kit. Complement the kit with the 10-18mm for those wide angle shots. I have spent days with this as my only lens on my camera. Great to use with the Zhiyun Crane stabilizer.

I had previously reviewed this lens and given it 4 stars, marking it down one star because it was not compatible with the NEX 6's phase detection AF. Now with NEX 6 firmware version 1.03 it is compatible. Upgraded to 5 stars.
