One Lens for All
If you are going on vacation, this is the only lens you will need to take. I sometimes travel light and do not want to carry a lot of extra lenses. The focal range of this lens makes it great for your all around lens. Pictures are sharp and colorful.

Love this lens.
I've invested the money in some prime lens and fisheye lens yet was still slacking with my kit zoom lens(18-70mm) So i finally decided i needed a actual zoom lens and I love this one. Stays on my camera in my bag being the most versatile lens I have.

Alpha 850 Wide Telephoto Lens by Sony
This is a great lens and my second one. I still use the old one but there is a scratch on the lens so I replaced it with the same version. It is great for telephone and exceptional for up close shots without having to carry two different lenses.

Very happy
I bought this as my on camera lens for my A100 and I very happy with it's sharpness and great colour. It is very versatile and compact. I have ordered a A700 and am looking forward to seeing how this lens performs on a better camera.

Beautiful Lens
Fantastic lens. Bought it for my new a65 and it definitely satisfies all my needs from close up to those far distances. Very sharp pictures too. Don't have to change lenses, which will be great for my tour in Europe mid 2012.

A very good lens to have all the time
Switched to a similar lens from Tamron. Like this better. Focuses very fast in auto mode. Manual focusing is easy and sharp. To snap objects at close remove the protective lens ( if any attached ), for sharper focusing.

Good for travell
I've bought this lens for my Sony A350. It is very good lens to nature. If you are deer and birds hunter I recommend it to you. It is harder to use indoor but it is possible to use it especially with stabilization.

Workhorse of a lens
Got this lens with my first Sony & loved it, but it had no lock and I hike with it all the time and really needed to lock the zoom while on my Cotton Carrier. The new version has a lock, so I treated myself.

Great Lens for the money
I purchased the lens for use with the Sony a55v body. For my use it will be used 99% of the time. It is well made, light weight & sharp. It also focuses quite close. Took some nice closeup shots of flowers.

An All Around Lens
This lens is a great all around lens and produces excellent images. It is also convenient when on a shoot as you are not hampered by having to change fixed focal length lens that fit each particular image.

LOVE IT!!!
I've only had the lens a few weeks but way better than the kit lens!! Very versatile, nice not having to change lens on the go! Hate the creep but it does have a lock, just a step i have to get used to.

All around use
This is a great lens that I leave on my camera a majority of the time. Quick and with a great range for an unexpected day of shooting. No second guesses on this purchase, it was well worth the $$$.

Still Fantastic!
I use this on my alpha 77 for all shooting. It is super for all situations!! Larger aperature would be nice, but for the zoom range, size and image quality, it is super! Four years of happiness!!

First superzoom
Purchased to have single lens for trip to Ecuador. Use with alpha100. Around the house and in the yard I'm very pleased. Sharp pics thru out its range, however some loss of photo at left corners.

My new standard
This is my new walking around lens. Incredible focal range. There is a little barrel and pincushion at the extremes, but very tolerable. Not much chromatic aberration - a few pixels at most.

Great travel lens
Good lens for vacations and travel. Bought for use on a trip to Europe and Egypt. Does what it designed for as an all around lens - doesn't wear you out after a day of touring.

Very nice super zoom
I use the zoom most outdoors. I have shoot childern soccer with it and it works porfekt. It is not very mutch nois. The zoom could had better AF but I think it is absolutly ok.

Good walk-around lens
Ligher than expected. Close-up came out excellent. For about the same price with the equivalent Tamron, I picked the Sony and glad I did. I use this lens on the Sony A700.

Great lens
Purchased this lens to replace kit lens and what a great buy this was. I shoot at events and not having to change lens is proving to be a breeze. Photos are nice and clean

Better than expected
This lens is probably the only lens I will need with this camera. While much heavier than the Kit Lens, that is a small trade-off for the ability to zoom from 18-250mm.

Very versatile lens with flexibility

Excellent product
This lens replace the 18-55mm that came with the camera (sony A33). This one is better built, has better image quality and the zoom is perfect for outdoor use.

Fast focus
I had expected a lower automatic focus performance, once it is 18-250 lens. Fortunatelly, I was wrong. It is fast, sharp and excelent for all purpose lens.

Great to walk around with
This is my lens that I use almost all the time with my a55. Such a large range and takes great shots. I can get up close without having to change lenses.
