Best in it's class
The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because I upgraded from the first model. If I had just purchased the camera out right it would be five stars. In the end though I ended up returning this camera in favor for the A7RII.

Didn't think it could get any better than the a7s but it did
Love this camera. I have used the a7s cameras for a few months and finally got this camera in and love it. The 4k is amazing, and doesn't have the overheating issues like the a7r2 does. I am already buying a couple more for my film shoots.

Pro Video Capabilities
This is a superb camera. If you're using an HDSLR this is your next step towards great cinematography. This is THE camera at the moment and has some fantastic features for video with it's S-log capabilities. Don't think twice - get one!

If you use Sony Cine Alta's, this will match them!
This camera intercuts with my F5 perfectly in 4K, I can easily shoot great 120p footage in HD, the autofocus with Sony lenses is really good. With an external v lock battery I can run the camera all day in a remote location reliably.

Great camera with real 4K and good contrast
Great camera, full frame, great contrast, great color and good definition. Very light and portable. Poor battery duration, but it's not a problem really. Good image file, you can edit and correct the color. Low noise in dark zone.

Autofocus is too slow
If the Autofocus were at least as good as the Sony a6300 this would be a great camera. But for what I shoot I need quick responsive autofocus and this camera lacks that. Pros: Low light, Full frame, Image quality Cons: Autofocus

Low light monster!
i finally made the switch from Canon. There is a learning curve and the autofocus isn't as good as the Canon systems. The low light capability makes up for the flaws. It can do amazing things you can't do with any other camera.

This Baby Cooks
Stills under low light. Street shooter - fantastic. Legacy lenses galore - I'm in love again with old Pentax glass. Try the huge 35mm f2.0 67mm filter size Takumar - it rocks once again. Thank you Sony .... no baloney

Garbage camera
Cheap, after just under 2 months the eye viewfinder has stopped working. This camera is far from Pro. Sony is a joke to work with. I will never buy Sony anything ever again this includes candy from their main office

No complaints
*Except for the price, but that's the market value on this and every other site so I can't complain. Works great in the dark with a few lights around. The video is clear and the controls are intuitive.

Perfect Documentary Camera
Non intrusive camera, perfect for documentary setup. 4k is fantastic, high ISO is crucial for run and gun sets. I would recommend buying a cage if this is your type of shooting, check out the Tilta.

This Camera and I share a room.
If you're shooting videos, and A3 sized prints are enough for your photos, then this is the best option for you in the market. In different words, this is the best wedding camera in the market IMO.

Need to purchase another one!
Great camera for video for the price. Packed full of features with 4k, high frame rates at 1080, and awesome latitude for the price. It's not a FS7 or RED, but great for filmmakers on a budget.

Light and Bright
I have decided to go light with my camera gear so the A7SII was chosen because of its low light capacity and its weight. A small plus for my because I am a still guy is it's quality of video.

Best Camera for the price
I've done quite a bit of research before making the decision to purchase the a7sii, and found nothing but praises. I've owned it for about two weeks now and I absolutely love it.

The low-light king
Switching from the Canon 70D to the Sony A7SII has really helped highlight even the darkest basements. Shooting real estate video tours with this camera is much easier.

I love it so far
I bought it to record video in low light conditions and it totally does the job. I don't like the menu and I find the screen a little small, but it's not a deal closer.
