Excellent buy!
I was looking for a good walk around lens that would give me some reach when I didn't really want to carry my big zoom lens around. I was looking at both this lens and the ones made by Tamron for my Sony a77II. Based on other reviews that I saw I decided to go with the Sony lens. So far I would say I have made the right decision. The pictures are very sharp and all lengths and it focuses very fast. This will be the perfect lens to take when you need just a little more reach but bringing a big zoom would be a hassle.

The best choice for a Sony system
I bought this lens to replace my Tamron 18-200mm travel lens and it was the right decision! The Sony lens is much sharper, faster, smoother and it provides much nicer Bokeh backgrounds. I've taken great landscape photographs as well as portraits and even pictures of flowers and nature look great. It's a must for anybody who uses Sony system. It worked great on my Sony A58 that I had previously and it works even better on my Sony A77ii.

Just like a pro!
Both my wife and I transitioned from Minolta to SONY without a hitch. This lens fits the bill when the grandchildren are around. With 16,000 plus photos in iPhoto, I'm sure we will hit 17,000 in a short time. We had a long range zoom, it was fine. This zoom is short and sweet. Easy to use, as well as lighter.

Great everyday go-to lens
I have had this lens for about 8 months now and it has become my everyday go-to lens...it has never disappointed me and is very flexible for a wide range of different pics.

Excelent product
This lens is used as my basic tool for wildlife photography, used for walking around with before I change to a longer focal length lens on a tripod. It is more versatile than advertised and very easy to use.

Sony DT 18mm-135mm
This lens is worth the selling price and I recommend it to anyone requiring clear supper sharp photographs at every lens setting. Just the right lens for travel or in your own backyard.

Very Fine Lens
This is an excellent walk around lens. Fast, sharp focus, and excellent color. I bought this lens for my A65 and liked it so much I bought another one for my A77. I have used it basically for landscape and the photos are excellent. To me it is a bargain priced lens and more than worth the price.

I would buy this product again and again
I purchased to replace the original lens that came with my Alpha. I wish I had purchased this with the camera. Better optics, better focal lengths and better auto-focus. This uses an internal motor in place of the body-gear system of the original lens.

Great walk-around utility lens
I purchased this with a Sony SLT-A57 package, and am glad I went this route rather than the 18-55 kit lens combo. The 18-135 is a very practical range, that balances well on the A57 body. Really good IQ. While not the fastest lens out there, at least on the A57, AFs very quickly and accurately. Great colors.
