Dust gets in to spoil sensor.
I bought a DSC-WX220 Digital Camera, and was very happy with it until, just after the warranty expired, I noticed that there was a gray, smudgy spot at the same place on all the pictures I shot. I guessed that must mean that dust had gotten into the camera and settled on the sensor. Since this is not a changeable lens camera, there was no way to clean the sensor myself. So I contacted Sony, and they told me to send it in and they would 'repair' i... Show More

Sensational Pocket Camera
This is the second of these cameras we have owned. It is easy to use and takes great photos. The small size of the camera makes it easy to carry in ones pocket, but it does come with a nice carrying case.

Own 7 of this model
No longer made but still in stock is a great fast shot camera. Only issue is some models have issues with SD card popping loose and the USB cover always breaks off due to poor design. But fits in front pocket and great for taking mass photos. Video is good quality.

Great little camera
I am an avid bicyclist and love taking photos on my adventures.. That being said this is my second DSC WX220 and love that I can slip it in a pocket and hardly know its there. Unfortunately I got up in one to many rain storms leaving my camera fried. As far as quality its a point and shoot, pictures are good. Not always great.. You really have to play with the various items in the menus to get full usage potential.. But agin all and all its a great little camera for someone on the go

Problem with image sensor. / Sympathetic service
About 13 months after I started using my camera, it developed some spots on the image sensor, leading to spots or circular dark smudges on photos. One spot at the upper left of images was particularly noticeable. Dirt may have entered the camera somehow, but there is no way to say how, since it is not an exchangeable lens camera. Anyway it shouldnt have deteriorated so quickly. I returned the camera to the designated Sony repair contractor (Prec... Show More

Sony Cyber-shot
I bought for my vacation in Peru. The viewing screen broke after only 3 days of use and left me with out a camer the remaining 2 weeks. I liked the size, but I guess it's just too delicate. Won't buy again.

Great small camera with optical zoom
This is a great travelling camera, the wifi is a big bonus but a little hard to integrate with iOs photos (so far)

Excellent Camera for this Price Range
I had owned a previous model of this camera over three years and then dropped it an broke it. I looked at Nikon, Canon, and several others that provide this type of camera in this price range. This one, given its features across the board, was the best for the price. Others have more (or less) zoom, but once you get beyond the 10x zoom on this camera - you need a tripod anyway. And, who buys a point and shoot cam with the intention of lugging aro... Show More

An Excellent Camera Indeed
I owned the W830 camera for about 2 years without any issues. No question a nice little camera. So I decided to upgrade to the WX220, and I like it a lot. Everything works perfectly and the pictures are incredible. I highly recommend this camera.

SO FAR SO GOOD
Replaced a 7 yr old camera that seems to be giving up. We use WX220 to take pictures at trade shows usually ranging from 50-250 pictures per week. Would purchase same again.

Not my ideal camera
I bought this camera to replace a Casio digital of similar dimension. Because none of the online vendors have a way to select or sort cameras by size, I called up and asked B&H for advice. They suggested this Sony. The Sony takes very good photos, and it's automatic focus is much more advanced than my decade-old Casio. Images need much less digital correction for brightness, contrast and color balance, the virbration stabilization works better, ... Show More

The screen was damaged
The camera was in perfect external conditions, but when just start it, colors in the screen was crazy. Images look wrong, even the camera info in the screen is in wrong colors. It looks like infrared or negative colors (as yu can see in the images attached). Unfortunately I have to return the camera from Peru, where I live. B&H told me I have to pay for it. Too bad. They will refund my money.

an excellent camera for it's price
I bought this camera after owning several other small, knock around cameras. I have pro level equipment in a Nikon 810 and Pentax K1, both equal in quality. This small camera was to carry around on vacation or other times when I did not need or want the heavy pro equipment. It takes great pictures up to 8x10 and is good in low light. Quick shutter and good auto-focus. There are few tweaks you can make in taking a picture but that is why I bought this camera, it is for quick point and shoot situations. Excellent and much better than a canon or a Nikon for the same price that I tried out.

Small But Very Camera
My wife wanted a handy small camera for her purse. This is a terrific small camera that really takes excellent photos. The quality of the photo is much better than one gets on a phone camera. It is simple to operate and has a nice zoom feature. It is also takes video, which is a nice feature.

Great Camera for the price
For just a point and shoot Digital camera that will fit in your shirt pocket. This one is for you. You can't beat the price and the pictures look great. I have seen other reviews where people said the pictures were out of focus or too dark. I have experienced none of those issues. I was going to buy an extra battery, but I really don't think it is necessary. Very happy with this Camera.

Best small point and click
One of the best small format point and clicks out there. One of things that helps rank it up there for me is the time to first photo. Between pressing the power button and catpuring the moment, this has one of the shortest lags you can get before throwing down for a dslr. It's about the same amount of time it takes my taka Galaxy s5 to load it's native camera app, but the photos are obvoiusly way better. Controls are fairly intuitive if not a bit over simplified.

I would recommend this camera.
Bought this a few weeks ago and absolutely love it, Great picture quality and I love the zoom in this little pocket size camera.

Wife loves it.
I'll start with the bad. Tends to overexpose pictures. Maybe it's me, but in bright situations I can't seem to correct it. Most pictures still turn out very good, and the others can be corrected with editing. Now the good. Shutter speed is very fast. Video is outstanding. The best I've seen in a point n shoot. Wifi works well and is easy to use. Zoom is very good and takes clear shots. Very compact, fits in any pocket. I think it's a pretty good camera, but my wife loves it and uses it all the time.

Tiny package of great features
Many no longer use cameras and rely on their smartphones. For those of us who still like the sophistication of multiple settings on a real camera, but don't want to be burdened with bulk, this Cyber-Shot is absolutely terrific. It is small enough to fit comfortably into a pocket, but has all the features of a full sized camera.

Small and light, sharp photos
I bought this for the WIFI control to take outdoor photos. It works great the way I use it. One thing to note is that WIFI range/control is better with an iPad mini than an iPhone 5s, I assume it's because the larger device has a larger antenna. But of course with WIFI turned on it does drain the battery faster.

The camera is awesome, but...
Can't complain about the camera itself, it's a wonder. BUT, the mini-USB cable Sony provides doesn't fit the mini-USB terminal in the camera, AND THATS THE ONLY WAY TO CHARGE IT. Not acceptable Sony.
