Sony BDV-E4100 1000W 5.1Ch Blu-ray Home Cinema System
A pretty decent system for the price.
For the price, this system surprised me. It takes a while to set up so I'd put aside around an hour or two but that's to be expected if you want the best overall positions for the speakers, all speakers except the base unit can either be wall mounted via the screw cut outs at the back or just placed on a surface, I recommend wall mounting them. The system really packs a punch and has very clear sound, once you find the relevant menus, there are more than enough settings and audio options.

An Amazing home cinema system!
i was initially going to buy a dearer system, but then the amount of features this has won me over. reading other reviews about short cables and "ok" sound has left me baffled, as the length of wires supplied is more than adequate for an average room. (i think some people may have put the tall speakers to the back instead of front) and the sound is amazing! crystal clear sound with a lovely rich deep bass as well as the quality of a standard blu-ray played on a 4K TV leaves this a must buy!

worth every penny
Super fast next day delivery and well packaged. My husband didn’t get sweary setting it up and it all seemed to be done within 30 minutes. I love the fact I can link it to my amazon prime video. The system itself is excellent quality and very simple to use. I’m not particularly technical and even I can work out how to change the sound depending on what I’m watching. Even though the tall speakers are about 4 foot tall, they not offensive on the eye. I would recommend this item.

It looks Fantastic
Such a nice sound system but with two big draw backs 1 direct and 2 indirect. Direct draw back the speakers are connected through cableif that can be upgrade to bluetooth connectivty. This will give a good position of speaker allocation to split them according to your home decor nor home decor to the system you buy! Indirect it must be compatible with every TV Remote either Samsung, LG etc.. via control because using two remotes are not so friendly. As the technology today is merging!

Don’t bother!
I thought that I couldn’t go wrong and that I was up scaling to a Sony product but how wrong could I get....! The technology seemed far inferior to the Panasonic equipment that it was replacing and that equipment had lasted 5 years....! The ARC through hdmi was something that you had to choose to use via the settings so you can’t just plug in and play unless you additionally employ an audio optical cable. All that said the whole thing lasted 2 sessions of use (about 4-5hrs).

modern and good looking
A very good system, whilst the instructions are few it was quite straight forward to sort out, my one criticism is that the cable to the tall speakers intended to go behind a sofa were very short I would suggest that without extending them you would be sat almost on top of the Television, perhaps this needs attention. The set up is not entirely clear and the information provided is again quite limited, but when set up and working the result is excellent from a good looking product.

Amazing sound quality and solid build
This Sony 5. 1 Home Cinema system is superb quality sound and amazing sound. While watching the TV it’s feel like you are in cinema everyday. This is my second purchase for this sound system and it keep shaking my home walls. It has lots of features with different sound modes, and Football sound feature as well feel like you are in stadium. What a fantastic made Sony and thanks Argos for selling this quality product in a very reasonable price 100% worth the money.

Looks great, easy to use
This is a really nice home cinema system, set it up in about 10mins, works well. My only negative feedback is the wires couple to the unit with connectors which mean you cannot extend the speaker wire (as you could if it connected with bear wires). This is a slight inconvenience because the wires for the front speakers are quite short and it therefore limits your options for positioning the main unit. Other than this, happy with the purchase and would recommend.

Great sound system, needs another cable to hook up
I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend. I’m not very tech-savvy so was worried it might not be what he’d go for. He’s really pleased with it! Sound quality is great and I’m sure our neighbours can hear what we’re watching! Only snag is that you need to buy an optical digital cable to play the tv through it - otherwise surround sound only works through the blu-Ray player. You can buy this for £7-£10 though, so no biggie. Would definitely recommend.

Sound Choice
Bought this system as an upgrade to our previous Sony set-up. This has proved to be a good choice and a good price saving compared to elsewhere. The sound quality is excellent as we have kept the same power output (1000w) as before, the main difference being that we now have Bluetooth capabilities. Set - up is straight forward using the simple instructions provided. If you want the full manual then it is available on line.

Impressive surround sound
When I bought It I thought the tall speakers where for the back because thats what they are on the soundbar version, however this proved not to be a problem as I found somewhere to put the rear speakers. I also have an amazon echo in the room and it connects nicely via bluetooth and is a vast improvement of its quality when listening to music. and it does feel like a cinema when watching a movie..

Great Sound System at reasonable price
Purchased this as a replacement for Sony BDV-E370 Home Cinema system and am extremely pleased with the performance (particularly the volume output) which exceeds that of the previous system. The instruction manual supplied contained very little detail and I used the on-line version which was much more comprehensive to complete the adjustments for volume and sound synchronising.

Sony BDV-E4100 Amazing
I brought the Sony surround sound system two weeks ago & wow amazing sound & very sleek design very impressed with the overall product, the two tall boy speakers you can either have them on the stand provided or on the wall what's quite good, the Bluetooth & the Wi-Fi works really well no problems whatsoever and it connects nicely with my Sony Bravia 55inch LED TV.

Smart looking easy set up no problems!!!
Loved the whole set up took my time with good results!! Sound really good no echo in the room Tip put a thick rug in between your listening place for really good sound. Measure the center speaker from your listening place then times it by three and then with your measurements that will give you the distanced for the front and left tall speakers

Ignore bad reviews
Good quality sound with a good design, its really easy to set up. Only slight problem is the menu on it is abit slow to scroll and for the buzzing sound that everyone talks about...it Is there but when you have audio coming through the speakers you cant hear it so you will most likely forget its there. Its a must buy!!

Great home cinema system
After reading mixed reviews around google, wasnt sure whether to buy this product, but must I say the quality of sound and bass is amazing, really enjoying it, took me 3 days to connect to the latest LG tv with hdmi arc but just wouldnt work so connected via digital optical but sounds great

Works straight out of the box
Easy to set up, though running cables out to speakers takes a bit of planning. Easy to use, though haven't explored all of the functions yet. Still struggling to get optimum sound (bass is a bit on the boomy side sometimes) but probably just being picky. Overall, so far so good!

It’s such a lovely sound system,
It was easy to set it up. I only wish it was all wireless like other modern sound systems. It’s treble is a bit low, tried changing all sound modes eventually I settled on one. Another thing which been said already is that it takes long to start after putting Tv on

Very dissapointed
Features are old tech and clunky. Sound is good but not great - speakers are plastic look and feel and don't look that good. Sorry but I am dissapointed after reading the other reviews which lead me to buy it in the first place - advice = look at other males.

Good
Setup is simple but somewhat time consuming. Sound quality is good and its a cheaper and better option than buying other audio/sound systems for a tv such as a soundbar. Designed as a home cinema system yet can work in other ways such as with a games console.

Surround sound
Once I got this system connected it was fine but the book of words are very vague it didn’t explain anything as I’m not very good at tech stuff so I got my son to set it up with the tv and it took him a couple of hours but now it’s working it brilliant

Great replacement
Bought as a replacement system for a previous Sony surround, New featured Bluetooth connectivity is fantastic and so simple to set up. The new sleek design fits well with other electronics and the speaker design is pleasing to the eye. Would recommend *****

Great system
Love this blu-ray system especially having Netflix built in which means having Surround sound on my Netflix now instead of standard sound from Netflix on my TV. Only drawback is having to extend the speaker cables, but I expected that. Well worth the money.

Great piece of music system.
Excellent design,sound quality with additional blue ray player. Music is pure and the bass is fantastically balanced . However too many wires in between speakers to connect. Could have had the wireless feature to simplify the connections between speakers .
