Definitely Made my PC at least 8 times faster when loading
This is worth your money to speed up any laptop/PC that is a few years old and you want to rejuvenate its capabilities by reducing startup times. Got two of these at the great price!

Quite fast, no reported issues
Upgraded my 120GB Samsung 840 Pro to this 1TB 860 Evo. Used the Samsung data migration tool, which seemed to work fine without problems. Overall satisfied with the purchase, highly recommended.

Works well with Drobo
Installed 4 of them as soon as received them in about a month back in my Drobo. So far works stable and fast enough.

Almost Cloned my Boot Drive
I ran the software and it copied everything really well except my network and network files that appeared on my old Hard Disk. Makes your boot really fast and programs to load very fast. Wont do anything for your browsing as that is not disk dependent. Great product would buy again!

Much needed speed increase
Easy to install and much faster then my spinney disk. Using as my boot disk, startup has gone from about 3 minutes to less than 30 seconds power on to login screen. There has also been a noticeable reduction in loading times for programs breathing new life back into my aging workstation. Highly recommend and SSDs are the way to go.

Simple to upgrade
I had a unique problem (I had to recover an earlier SQL backup) that required me (as a safety measure) to clone my existing system on to a slightly larger SSD. Goofy / McGiver-esque solution but, it worked perfectly. The Samsung cloning program(?) is about the easiest and most effective cyber-solution youll ever use.

great service
When I received the new hard drive I was not sure how to clone the old drive. Your people walked me through it and stayed with me until the end. Thank you so much.

Loving my Samsung 2TB 860 EVO SATA III 2.5 Internal SSD
I love it because its faster than my regular Hard Drive. I bought two, one for my mac and one for my PC. To give you my honest opinion, it is faster and a mac than on a PC. Dont know why? Also, I bang my SSD and it still working.

older iMac run faster than new
Replaced Boot HD on 2012 27 iMac with this SSD which was running very slow. Had tried all the usual stuff to speed it up to no avail. Was going to buy new iMac, but decided to try this first. Result is amazing, runs faster than when it was brand new!! Opening it up wasnt difficult & in fact I took everything out so I could put an adapter in the SSD blade slot slot & run with 2 internal drives; the old one for most data & this one for OS, Programs & Pictures. Now have 2TB of storage that run FAST!

Works Great!!!
I bought this drive to replace a SanDisk SSD m.2 512GB 2288 drive, which failed without any warnings in just two and a half years on a Lenovo T460s laptop. I would think twice before buying another SanDisk as SanDisk would not honor its 3-year-warranty because its not a retail version and it is REQUIRED to go through an authorized dealer. Anyway, I love Samsung SSDs - they are fast and reliable. I am migrating all my SanDisk SSDs to Samsung ones.

Samsung quality reverberates to not only phones and display!
I have the Samsung Evo 850 120 GB going strong in my older rig for more than 8 years. I was planning to use an Dell Optiplex 990 given to me by my sister as a secondary PC using a 60gb ADATA SSD as a primary drive. However, the low power consumption and fast i7 processor made me reconsider this Optiplex 990 to be the my primary top dog and this drive was the final step for that to come into fruition. I decided to leave the 60 gb ADATA in and ju... Show More

Cost effective way to extend life of old PC
I have purchased several Samsung EVO SSDs and they all have worked out well. This one I installed on a Windows 7 machine that is used for email, scanning, and other daily tasks. The machine is 9 years old and had been running pretty slow. Installing this drive sped it up to a more acceptable speed. I used Acronis True Image to backup the mechanical drive and move the image to the new SSD. Much easier than re-installing my applications on a new machine.

Lots of capacity, easy to reformat for Mac
I put this internal SSD into an external drive enclosure for my photo library. That way I can move the entire library easily between computers and locations. The drive comes formatted for Windows, but the Mac Disk Utility makes it easy to reformat in less than a minute for Mac. I installed it in an inexpensive Sabrent external enclosure for a 3.5 drive and use it as an external drive via a USB C cable. Retrieval of large (40 MB) files is faster t... Show More

Upgraded to 500GB from 256GB
I was hoping to keep the programs on the SSD to a minimum and use HDD for data storage. However, there are too many programs that do not allow you to select a drive when loading, and when you contact them, they dont care..Yea Garmin you are one. Anyway Samsung Data Migration works well, copy and replace, I put the 256GB drive into a laptop with a slow HDD.

Good quality for what you pay for
I have two more of these SSDs; they are both in my other two PCs. One has been running for close to two years now while the other is about three months. It really makes my boot up time fast.

340MB/s read 430MB/s write over USB 3.0
This is my first SSD, bought it primarly to use with my Atomos Ninja Flame 7 monitor/recorder, but also thought I may edit some smaller video projects on it. Benchmarks on a 15 MBP over USB 3.0 and the StarTech USB 3.0 to 2.5 SATA III Drive Adapter Cable (19.7) calble around 340MB/s read 430MB/s write, about what I was expecting.

Like Having a New Computer...
What a difference this new drive made! SSD was installed effortlessly in my 5 year old MacBook Pro with no problems. Boot time went from minutes to 13 SECONDS! I run Parallels and often switch back and forth between Mac OS and Windows 7. This drive makes the Mac-to-Windows transition lightning fast. One of the best-bang-for-the-bucks upgrades EVER. The only regret I have is not installing this drive sooner!

Speedy ssd that I install for my friends and relatives
This is my goto SSD when needing to use SATA. If NVMe is an option I go with the NVMe model. Fast, slim, and light. Paired it with an external enclosure with USB3 to run my "lab".

Fast, Compact and Bulletproof
I purchased two Samsung 860 1 TB SSDs as a second drives for an Atomos Ninja Inferno video monitor/recorder. It is on the approved list by Atomos, fast enough for 4,2,2 4K/60p video. I intend to purchase two or more of these SSDs for image backup while traveling. They can be used, externally, with a SATA-USB cable adapter, or in a USB enclosure. My benchmark with a 2017 MacBookPro is over 430 MB/s.
