All-time bargain!
I don't do a lot of telephoto work, so this lens totally suits my needs. Extremely reasonable price, completely acceptable results for my needs.

Cost Effective
Pick up one of these for those times when you need extra reach in good light. Very lightweight & with surprisingly good optics. Can't beat the price for its capability.

Huge bang for the buck
I purchased this because it was on sale and even if I paid full price I would be happy with it. It's not fast glass by any means but for daytime outdoor use (or with a flash) it's fantastic. As other people have posted it performs best when stopped down a bit but on the GH4 it looks better than my Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 (EF mount, obviously a better lens but the mounts kill the quality at 150-200 I find) so if you have a m43 camera and want a super small/light telephoto lens for daytime outdoor use like landscapes I would suggest this one any day of the week.

Try It, You'll Like It!
Extremely light in weight and price, but surprising in results, Olympus obviously specified pretty good glass in this bargain lens. Great value; best results in good light.

Excellent image quality, poor built
This lens produces excellent photos with quick auto focus and a pleasant bokeh. On the downside - cheap built, especially plastic bayonet.

I love it. It is just perfect for my need. Light and clear. I also introduced it to my niece and she bought it. Thanks so much. ThuyVy Trankiem

Solid lens, great price
A solid lens, of Olympus quality, at a great price. I love the small size, and the great extension to 300mm with my micro 4/3 camera. I am completely satisfied with the pictures I've taken so far, and expect to be pleased for a long time. The micro 4/3 is what I'm going to be concentrating on, rather than the traditional DSLR.

Not for the GX-85
not bad optics for the price, but for the GX-85, this lens creates a clicking sound. turning the camera off then on fixes it but the clikcing sound returns after a while. YMMV

Not for GX-85
while the lens is optically pretty good and AF is fast and quiet, with a GX-85, it creates a strange clicking sound. turning the camera off/on seems to fix it temporarily, then the clicking sound comes back.

Good Enough
This lens perfectly demonstrates the difference between Olympus' pro-sumer and PRO line of lenses. I have a few of both. The 40-150 (80-300 as a 35mm equivalent) is a good range for distance shooting. The auto focus is quick and the lens is easy to control. For the price I was impressed with the distance clarity. It is not a particularly bright lens - but again, this is the difference of pricing. The lens is extremely light weight - which is nice... Show More

Great lens
For the price, this lens is amazing! The zoom is extremely powerful and clear. I do feel like a spy whenever I use it. Great purchase and shipping!!!

Very nice lens
This was my first telephoto lens, and I wasn't too sure about what to expect. The first thing that struck me was how small it is. At it's shortest length, it is only about the thickness of the lens cap longer than the kit 14-42 lens when it's extended. It is also the same size in diameter. This lens is very lightweight, by feel the same as the kit lens, but does not feel cheap like the kit lens does. My kit lens has spots where it will creak if y... Show More

Exceletne lente para el dia

WOW update
I've already given my review. Had a chance to do some shot locally and wanted to share a couple images that show off how nice this lens is. Both were shot around 2 pm and it was very sunny. You really do get a lot of bang for your buck. It is a plastic, light weight lens with great glass, but take care of it and it will last a long time. Images are very usable SOOC. Only some minor basic editing done. No cropping.

WOW
This lens is super nice. Not only does it have great IQ, but it is lighter than the 12-40mm f/2.8 Pro lens on my Olympus OM-D 5 II. I mainly use it in daylight so the f/4 is more than adequate. I find myself shooting more around mid range anyway. This may seem like a bargain basement lens due to the sort of plastic build, but the glass is amazing. I use mainly a Nikon D750 and pro lenses. I find this little light weight to be above and beyond the... Show More

Surprisingly good
I purchased this lense with no real expectations for a $99 investment. I thought it would be a nice every day kinda OK thing. I was really happy when I started playing with it. I can stand across my living room, about 15 feet or so, take a picture of the text of a paperback and have the letters crystal clear. Pretty neat. Highly recommend it, very cool.

So cheap, yet so good
I honestly don't know how they do it. I've used cheap-o zooms on DSLR's before, and got commensurate results. This lens produces great results at an astounding price. Did I mention that its also super light!

A Pleasant Surprise
This is a great starter lens at a great price. Took it to the Zoo for my first use - photographer not the camera and Lens. Took my time to read the instructions (shocking!) Lens worked fine and for under $ 200 is a great value. the 14 - 42 and this lens make for a good focal length matchup

Great Zoom Lens
For what I use the camera for, this lens is more than enough for me. I enjoy using it and it produces great pictures. I'm no professional so I do not know too much but this lens satisfies all my midrange zoom needs.

Good Lens
The lens is great with light and focus. The only drawback is the housing is plastic and creates a slight rub when moving the zoom level. This is not a problem for us because one set we do not touch it again.

Decent for the money
This lens is best used in brighter conditions outdoors, good for wildlife, distance shooting, lightweight.

Bang for Buck
Considering it was a $ ad on I'm happy. The next step up is pretty expensive and I'd like to see more offerings in the 4/3 telephoto range.

I was surprised
with this lens. So cheap and yet so versatile. It's a little 'more plastic', but the image quality outstanding.

Not Good,not sharp,Noise when focusing
This is a plastic beginners lens. The lens is noisy when trying to find focus on my G7. Not a sharp lens. I honestly took a shot at this lens based on the reviews. I really don't like the plastic mount and the optics are not good. I am returning this lens and I will purchase a better telephoto for my Panasonic G7.
