True Essentials
This is an extraordinarily compact and portable lens with enough reach for almost any purpose. At first, I was skeptical of its image quality, but when using it in real life photography, eliminated all concerns about. I have to add that there is no reason not to have one in your camera bag

Awesome on my Pen 8
I have a full frame Canon 6D and wanted to get something lighter and fun to walk around with. The camera came with a kit lens and I wanted to add this for extra distance shots. I was so happy I did! What a little cutie this thing is and for me, I am very happy with the images. Great value!

A Pleasant Surprise
This is a great starter lens at a great price. Took it to the Zoo for my first use - photographer not the camera and Lens. Took my time to read the instructions (shocking!) Lens worked fine and for under $ 200 is a great value. the 14 - 42 and this lens make for a good focal length matchup

Great all around zoom lens
Lens was a great addition to collection. I primarily use my camera for underwater photography so I have a ton of gear to lug around. This lens gave me the option of not having to bring along a topside SLR. I was able to use it for topside photography and was pretty happy with the results.

Awesome
I was a little worried whe I opened this up since it was mainly plastic. However, I am impressed with the nature photos I have been able to take. Have also used it with family shots. Nice to be able to put this on and extend the range. Also threaded for filters which I like. Great value.

Cheap, light, small
Bought this to photograph wildlife during travel. Relatively small lense, but cheaply built - all plastic construction. This was fine for my uses, since I'm not interested in professional quality. 100% zoom shows noticeable lateral chromatic abberation in some cases. Great price at B&H.

Zukio Zoom
It's lightweight, had a great sale price and I'm learning to use it. I'm still at newbie at using the Olympus camera itself, so am on a double steep learning curve. Some of the other reviews were not that encouraging, so I adjusted my expectations before the purchase. So far, so good.

Light, Small, Affordable
Have only used it a handful of times but no regrets for the price. Olympus only provides 1 yr warranties with their m43 products which is why I wait for a sales, as I did with this lens. To be fair I think all m43 manufacturers only do 1 yr on bodies and lenses, something to consider.

Very Good Image quality for the Money
It is so small and lite I don't mind carrying it around. Often comes in handy when you require that little bit more zoom and the quality is nearly as good as a prime with the advantage of being a zoom. I have taken shots at 60th sec near the end of the zoom without shake. Great lens.

Light in weight but zoom action is not smooth
Nice and light zoom lens for MFT, and not expensive. In my case, its primary use is for video at school concerts. Unfortunately the zoom action is not very smooth and has a bit of a stutter at the long end. Quite possibly a one-off problem on the lens I have. Still a good value lens.

Very good product for the price
For the price, this is a great deal and you can get some seriously good looking shots. The only downside is that the purple fringing can get noticeable, but it's easily fixed in Lightroom or some such. Great for portraits too with low aperture and high zoom, lots of depth of field.

Decent kit lens at an awesome pricepoint
This is much better than your average kit lens (DSLR or Mirrorless) and the price is right. It lacks stabilization so make sure you pair with a camera equipped with that. Very good results from 40-100mm and about average after that. Super light for an equivalent 80-300mm zoom lens

This is an excellent piece of glass
I bought this lens to get me by with my OM-D cameras until the pro version comes out later this year. It delivers much better results than I expected for a lens in this price range. It smokes the 12-50 kit lens that came with my E-M5 at the same focal lengths. Highly recommended.

Very nice for a kit lens; very, very nice for the price!
I used a borrowed version of this for several months and decided it was worth having in the bag for reaching a little longer than with the primes I normally use. A bit soft at extreme length, but very nice as a walk around daytime lens. And for the price it simply cannot be beat.

The next step up.
I bought this lens for my amateur photography club daughter for Christmas. So I can only tell you what she told me. Dad, this lens is great. I love the zoom. I can get up close to objects not far and get detail and zoom into objects far away. And It's still so clear and detailed.

Feels cheap but good value for the money
- this is great value and a nice addition to my Olympus 4/3 camera system. The entire thing is plastic except for the glass, of course, and the gears. The zoom ring is a bit rough but does the job. Picture quality is very good but I haven't had a chance to really test it out yet.

Outstanding for the price
At the marked down price, thought I would give it a try. I have two GH4 bodies and the comparable Panasonic lens. When testing with 4K video - they both compare very well together and I can see me using both during video capturing using two angles from the rear of a concert gig.

Surprisingly good
This lens is new to me. First few days' use show it to be sharper than expected at all focal lengths. Better contrast than the 14-42 kit lens which came with my E-PL1. The two lens overlap gives me a full-frame equivalent coverage of 28 mm to 300 mm. Amazing for the price.

Great Inexpensive Zoom
If you're looking for an inexpensive zoom lens, this will for sure get the job done. However, the autofocus performance isn't very good especially in low light, and when extended, the lens doubles its length. But I'm still going to give it four stars because of the price.

Fantastic 80-300 equivalent for the $$
Great little telephoto zoom. Plastic mount gives me pause about it's long term durability. Quality is good except at 150 where it's a little soft at all apertures, but moreso wide open. Very small and light, easily held in one hand attached to an E-M5 for long periods.

Compact and convenient
Focusing is plenty quick except a bit of hunting beyond about 130mm. Lens is sharp wide open, a big plus as its not that fast. A good lens for the price ($), but I wouldn't pay the usual retail for it. Another bonus is the silent focussing system for use during video.

Great value for this little lens
Got this on special price, great value compared to the four third lens (with adapter) I was using before. The zoom ring is not as smooth as the older lens, but you get used to it. Very happy with the purchase, and delivery was excellent and affordable to New Zealand.

Good light-weight traveling lens
I use this lens for traveling to get a little extra reach. It is small and very light.....great for traveling. It is not super sharp, but more than adequate for smaller prints or internet photos. although I think you could get a very nice 8x10 or 11x14 inch prints.

Great lens, fast focus
Great inexpensive lens, smooth zoom with no creep, fast focusing, sharp images, very light. 58mm thread works with all my existing filters. No lens flare or problems with purple fringing. It was highly recommended, and I bought it on sale before buying my camera.
