Works well ONCE you have it working!
This device is very picky, there are plenty of problems people have had with USB port compatibility. This did not work with my first computer but luckily on my second computer I did not have this issue. The Oculus software is awful and is a pain to get installed, every time it fails it had to re-download 7GB, and it failed to install about 5-7 times (disable windows firewall!) Once working its pretty good for the price I would say!

Perfect entry into VR
Perfect headset to get if you are new to VR. The Oculus Rift S does not require you to set up external sensors since they are attached to the headset making it very easy to set up. If this is your first headset you probably will not notice the 80hz display refresh rate. The resolution may not be better than other headsets but this means that it isn't as demanding on the computer as the higher refresh rate and resolution headsets.

Great upgrade to the Rift
Bought this to replace my original Rift - the increase in resolution doesn't sound much on paper, but is a much better experience. Inside-out tracking means it's set up in minutes and works very well. I find the new halo-style headstrap much handier and stays in place better. The only complaint would be the woeful audio from the built in speakers, but it's got a headphone socket for your favourite cans if they'll fit over it.

Amazing piece of kit
Just got into flight sims on the pc and sampled VR at a friends house. For me it was a must, the level of immersion is something I have never experienced playing on games consoles and a tv. Yes it's not a cheap bit of equipment, but if you're looking for VR then I cant complain. Almost plug and play, DVI and a USB cable. Download oculus software and your done. Have already recommended to friends looking into VR setups.

But please check that you pc/lap-top supports VR I use mine for X-Plane 11 flight sim not a shoot'em up but 737-747 and smaller aircraft. which is 10/10 for realism . my kids love the rift for fun games and even education .Make sure you have plenty of floor space for games

VR Headset
this is my 1st VR headset and its brilliant..i`m a long time gamer and VR takes gaming to the next level...easy to set up..and being able to mark out the safe area to use it helps alot..so you shouldnt be knocking into anything..honest :-) 2 things i`ve noticed..1,you need to get the headset in the right place to see without being out of focus. 2,it can sometimes steam up inside the headset. apart from that its great .

Oculus Rift S needs a serious PC !!
It requires a very serious PC to drive it. My PC is a custom built gaming PC only about a year old but was not "compatible" in some areas and could not drive the Oculus Rift. No logic to it ! Oculus also comes without any software, you have to download it, all 14Gb of it ! And the download fails constantly. I have now sold the Oculus Rift on eBay for a 60 pound loss rather than spend £££'s and hours upgrading my PC.

Better than the CV1
I have upgraded to the rift S from the CV1. I used to feel sick with the CV1 but the Rift S seems to have cured this problem! The better quality screens and design make this a way better product than the CV1. The in headset tracking is a far better method and allows me to use my space rather than be stuck in the range of base stations. All in all a better product. (Have also used the HTC vive. This is better)

Wow. Great introduction to VR.
Fantastic VR headset. Hardware requirements are not too onerous. Works perfectly with my Ryzen 3 3200G + nVidia GTX 1050 Ti. It's comfortable to wear and easy to set up. Be careful if you need to use a DP extension cable with your setup as not all extension cables will work so check before you buy. Really impressed. There's some great content out there as well as adding VR to games I already play. Really pleased.

The best computer accessory I've purchased.
This VR is amazing. I decided to purchase one as I'd played the previous version at Arcade Club. Was contemplating between the Rift S and the Quest and settled on the Rift S as I had a decent laptop. The graphics and gameplay are amazing. Setting up is really easy. Beat Sabre is by far the best game for it but there are a lot of close seconds. You have to try poker stars, it's just like being in a real game.

Faulty product
Was looking forward to this purchase but very disappointed. Had various issues even though my PC was matched required specifications. Contacted Oculus support who confirmed there are "known issues" with the Rift S. Made to jump through hoops for days on end by their rather patronising support people. Thankfully Argos provide 30-day returns guarantee so I returned the device. You may have better luck with it.

Mind blowing experience!
Absolutely brilliant experience. Horror games, roller coasters... you name it. My wife was a bit skeptical about purchasing it, but after letting her fly around London using a VR maps program she’s now addicted. Bit tricky to set up, but that’s a windows issue. As long as you’re completely up to date and all drivers are the newest releases it will work like a charm. Definitely recommend.

Upgrade from Occulus Rift
I bought this recently as I previously had the Occulus Rift. The new 'no sensor towers' makes this headset easier and better to use. The only negative I have is that you should use the external jack for plugging in some earphones/headphones as the internal speakers are not as good as the original Rift headphones (which I did use). Overall, if your getting into VR this is the best headset to get.

Excellent product - but issues with compatibility
Unfortunately I have so far been unable to get this to work with my own PC - but support continue to help me, and I'm sure it's a matter of time. Using it on another PC though, it's a great system, and the resolution is a big improvement over the Rift. So I would heartily recommend it - but with the proviso that it does still seem to have some issues with compatibility with some PCs.

Great value VR set
I'm using this headset on 2 different PCs and it works great, set up is relatively easy. The only problem I have is that it takes some time to connect it properly (seems like it's not getting recognised straight away sometimes, so there's a bit of playing with the cables). You might want to consider getting some extra accessories for it, but all in all, it's a pretty good headset!

Mind blowing experience
VR has come so far, the Oculus Rift S is definitely the best of breed at the moment. The surround sound effect from the built in speakers is superb and the controllers are so easy and intuitive to use. It's worth the price just for Google Earth, you can visit every landmark in the world without the air-fare or hotel bills. Would thoroughly recommend much better than I expected.

Oculus Rift S - Nice Side Grade from the Rift CV1.
Pros - Great new resolution. Great new inside out tracking with NO lengthy "Sensors setup". Passthrough Mode - so you can see ahead of you in the real world while still wearing the headset over your eyes. Really Comfortable Head Set and fits well. Cons - Audio is not very loud, needs an update to increase the volume (or use earphones through the audio jack on the headset).

Good investment
This is a great VR very comfortable and ver responsive to all movements it was a bit tricky to set up but it was worth it you can’t compare anything to playing VR it’s so fun. Although when playing this VR in a warm environment or for a long period would make your face sweaty and fog the lenses but it is recommended to take frequent breaks which I agree with. Great gadget.

Fantastic First Venture Into VR
I held off on the first generation of VR so this is my first step into virtual reality and - wow - was my first impression. The design is great, the HMD is comfortable and lightweight. The experience of using it is amazing. You'll need a fairly powerful GPU to handle it, but it works smoothly on my 980 ti. I'm going to upgrade my GPU now for even better graphics.

What went wrong here then
Avoid the Rift S. I had the CV1 and it was great. This has confirmed broken audio, bad tracking and is not compatible with most titles through Steam. Screen has random snow effect every few minutes. Terrible VR experience and for now it should be avoided. Not that much improvement on the CV1 anyway so just save your money and buy a second hand CV1 instead.

Everything I Hoped and More!
The Oculus Rift S is fantastic. Upon collecting the item and getting it home, straight away the presentation is great with a sleek box, and when opening you're presented with your Oculus headset and controllers. Plug in and play! The hardware is good quality and not a problem for glasses-wearers. I would buy it again, and cannot wait to see how VR progresses.

Brilliant headset... just 1 or 2 minor gripes
Good headset but not much of an upgrade to the original CV1 Rift. Great for someone new to VR but to anyone who already has a Rift CV1, I would wait until an actual upgrade comes out. Watch a few reviews on YouTube as they are all pretty accurate. Saying that. It’s great for first timers and I would recommend this if you haven’t already got a headset.

Unreal
After using a VR head set once I loved it and went and brought this and it is unreal, the way it feels and the way it operates it’s simple to set up and easy to use, I have had no problems with tracking at all and it is still going strong. Highly recommended, the motion sickness goes after playing for a while and is also compatible with steam.
