It is a very nice display, but got troubles to set up
First of all, I am not knowledgeable in color, display etc., just a normal gamer, but this display looks very beautiful for me. However, I encounter many difficulties when I set it up. Finally got my hands on this monitor after months of wait. Overall satisfied, but with a few reservations. Packaging and cosmetics: Monitor is very well packaged, with layers of protection. It's OK. Not great for the price point.
I searched long and hard for a 30+ inch 4k monitor for my 2018 15 MacBook Pro. I specifically wanted something that would use USB-C for video, audio, AND PD charging, and this was the best one I could find for a reasonable price ($824). I just received my LG 32UD99-W today (8/17/2017). Package arrived safely with no apparent visible damage. Monitor came with the stand, cable management clip that attaches to said stand, 1 HDMI cable, 1 Display Port cable, 1 USB Type-C cable, 1 USB-C to USB-A adapter, 1 external power supply plus power cable. Excellent monitor
Bought two of these to replace aging HP Z 27 units that had color shifted badly over time. With the thin bezel I get more screen real estate in about the same physical space as the old 27 HPs. The color accuracy of the monitors is excellent right out of the box. Minimal color correction needed for calibrated pre-press work. I was impressed. After searching multiple solutions to solve the HDMI connection not displaying the full refresh rate, I found a solution that has helped me solve the problem. I initially checked LG's website but didn't see any firmware updates. I then noticed that they have OnScreen Control software available for download so I tried it out. Amazing 4K Monitor for 2018 Macbook Pro & Gamers
I use this with my 2018 15 MacBook Pro (i9/560X) and it works great. I was waiting for the 34 5k from LG but it has ridiculous issues with my model MacBook Pro so I bought this instead (glad I read the reddit complaints). Stunning monitor, flakey USB-C
This monitor under HDMI is nothing less than stunning. Superb for photo viewing and editing. But I just cant get the monitor stable under USB-C from an Intel NUC8. It cycles off & on every five seconds. LG support has been useless. Intel hasnt helped me so far either. There is an obscure note buried in the LG menu reference about enabling DisplayPort in USB-C. The picture on this monitor is crystal clear and as sharp as you can imagine. Just be warned that you won't be able to go back to your old monitor after using this one. Some people have wondered if the 32 format is too big, but I think it's actually the optimal size for this resolution on a desktop device. Happy so far
B & H delivery to me in Western Canada was on schedule and the price was as listed during my initial order. So, that was a good start to me experience. In fact, B&H prices, even with the exchange rate, beat most of the Canadian competitors. The LG 32UD99 seems to work well with my 2010 Mac Pro. I am happy with it so far. The picture is good, doesnt seem to be much, if any, backlight bleeding. I havent synched it up with my MacbookPro yet, so I cant commment on that. I run the native resolution in either 1440p or 1692p. Its like having an Apple retina display, I suppose.

Mixed experiences
The monitor look great hooked up with my 2016 and 2017 15" MacBook Pros. Only issue is the monitor will not do USB 3.0 when using the single USB C cable to the laptop for video and USB. I've had the monitor "repaired" and have a loaner monitor that all exhibit the same USB 3.0 issue. 5 weeks later, LG still doesn't have an update as to why monitor can't do 4k video and USB 3.0 over a single USB C cable on my 15" MacBook Pros. Lack of response from LG is making me regret this purchase.

B&H bait & switch, but great monitor
Shipped to South Africa, where Amazon guarantees all taxes and fees less than $150. B&H doesn't provide a quote, which ended up being $800 on an $880 monitor! That's absurd they don't warn the consumers, esp. when Amazon guarantees such a reduced amount. Yes - i took a risk ordering through B&H - a mistake I won't make again. Monitor was delivered successfully in the end (though several days late), and without damage, so at least there's that. Just paid double for it. :/

Best 4K HDR Monitor to date
Hooked up to my MBP with Type C, HDMI for PS4 Pro and Apple TV 4K. Everything just works !Excellent design, minimal at the same time delivering a great standalone piece on the desk when not using, thin bezels are huge plus. You wont go wrong with this monitor, wish it had came with a remote control but overall its a monitor that definitely worth the money. Highly recommend this

Excellent Monitor
I have a very pleasant experience with the LG UK850 monitor and that is why after I find my need for a larger screen that I choose to purchase a LG monitor again. I would like to say that the UD99 monitor is true to its name. The screen is perfect and quite fits my surface book 2.

Worth the wait
I waited months to receive this monitor and now that it's arrived and all setup, I love it. My laptop is 4K and I am really enjoying my new workflow. All of the Adobe apps I use look amazing... I'm seeing things in Photoshop I never saw before. Completely worth the wait.

Absolutely incredible for PS4 Pro - 4k resolution and HDR... FPS game mode. Very easy set up, just use HDMI cable from PS4. This is the only monitor that supports HDR... expensive but worth the money

Purchasing and shipping with B & H was great, timely and the monitor is amazing, however, the monitor will go black mid use about 3 times every hour. Not sure if its a setting or what.

LG rocks
This monitor is a must have if you care about visuals. Colors are beautiful and calibrated well from factory. 550 nits HDR works well and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Works well with my 4K PC
