Excellent results Easy to use

Dec 2, 2018

Just as expected as per prior reviews. No surprises. Slides have copied beautifully. I find it easier to use the program on the computer to enhance or improve the photo. I havent used the 8mm movie scanner as yet...

Neat Slide Copier

Oct 5, 2018

Although the first unit had to be returned the second one seems to be just as advertised. A little experimenting with items to be copied turns things into records on the computer for future use. I would buy again for the use I have of it.

Easy enough to use once you get the hang of it.

First I read the manual. That put me off. It was unclear about steps to take to scan photos. Then I sat down with the machine and more or less taught myself how to use it. The process was less complicated than the manual made it seem, and I didn't destroy any slides or damage the machine. It is actually kind of fool proof: no penalty for mistakes.

Very Simple and fast

No software to load, with an SD card inserted, acts just like a digital camera that takes pictures (of film). I used for old 35 mm slides-can do about 1 slide every 2 seconds, can be used for negatives or positives. Feed holders are a little under engineered, will clog with slides on rare occasions.

Easy to use

An easy way to scan negatives or slides but resolution could be better. Ok for 4x6 prints or sharing on social media, but you'll have to do some image correction.

Definitely worth buying

I was a little sceptical having bought s similar device 3 years ago. Quality is very good, unfortunately can only save as JPEG, not TIFF, but I save as DNG in Lightroom before cropping etc. Delivery overseas was excellent less than 4 days. Only minor issue is opening adapter first time was tight, but no need to open really as you can push slides through adapter after giving them a quick puff of air to clean them. I have now scanned 500 slides with about 10k to go, but I use workflow in LR to assist.

Easy, fast scans with reasonable resolution for the money

Jun 27, 2018

I have 60 years of self processed B and W film with some treasures, so I am selectively scanning for the long term. Packaging was secure, but one of the plastic film holders for 2 x 2" 35mm slides was deformed, too flat on left side to permit pushing slides thru from one side to other. Probably a local heat issue. I am not using it anyway, but I will ask for a replacement. Set up was easy, but best way to learn is on U Tube, not the instruction b... Show More

Poor quality

Jun 27, 2018

I've scanned more than 300 35mm negatives. The adapter that slides into the scanner and holds the negative in place cannot be adjusted vertically in the view finder. This results in a black edge at the bottom of every scanned image. This is unacceptable, and so I can't recommend this product. Another flaw is that there is no way to change the creation date of the files. When the files are moved to my computer, they all showed a creation date 6/1/2018, even though they were created on other dates. There is nothing in the manual about this, nor could I find information online.
