Hitachi 32 Inch Smart HD Ready TV / DVD Combi
This was a rubbish purchase. Faulty when opened.
Got this home. Took time to fix the stand on to it using fiddly screws. Then turned it on and screen froze. Nothing could move screen on. Tried different remotes. Nothing worked. Took back to Argos. A disbelieving sales assistant then took it behind the scenes to try to get it to work. After ten mins he returned to say it was faulty!!! Dreadful purchase. Dreadful customer service. Avoid like the plague.

Quick to load and quick to use
Apart from what occasionally looks like an 'echo' or what could be described as a 'ghostly' look on the screen, everything works really well, considering that I have not had this TV for long and have not really used this brand before. It is certainly doing better than what I expected, compared to the one I had previously which had a number of problems with it. So far, so good, as far as I am concerned.

Poor WiFi connectivity
From the off this TV kept going having a blank picture but still sound, then it struggled to get a good WiFi connection so returned it after 2 weeks and swapped for the lg for a bit more money and lost dvd but much better quality. I wonder if Hitachi have tried too much for too little price reducing quality. Picture when it stayed was good quality and sound was good however had to change the TV.

Nice medium sized tv.
Reasonably priced medium sized tv which fits nicely into my small cottage. Easy to set up. Only fault is the sound which has to be on a high setting to be able to hear it properly. I do not usually have this problems with appliances as my general hearing is not too bad.. apart from that good value for money especially having the DVD player as well as like a lots of people l have loads of dvds

Great TV and looks very smart
This is my first smart tv so I am impressed with all the features and free view play. The tv also looks really smart and the built in DVD player is great and doesn’t take out extra room. My mum is now eyeing this up for her house. Couldn’t recommended enough. Size is perfect for a small living room when you don’t want the tv to look overbearing in the space. You won’t be disappointed!

Good TV for Price
Happy with my purchase bought as a tv for upstairs and wanted a dvd combi . Really surprised at how light the tv was and as planning to hang it on the wall with a tv bracket the light weight will make it easier. Picture quality is really good and it was easy to set up the channels . The remote is a funny shape and feels as if it is being held upside down but is very straight forward to use..

Bedroom TV
Only just started using as needed to fit to the bedroom wall, but it seems like a good tv overall for our needs and was fairly easy to set up and connect to WiFi. Instruction leaflet included in box had only basic instructions and the wording was extremely small to read. However it does have a comprehensive manual inbuilt once switched on. There were no wall bracket screws included.

Emergency buy proved excellent
Old TV packed up Friday evening! Being virtually housebound this was not amusing. Although I was too light for same-day it came the next morning. So convenience. It is exactly the right size for my wall unit which is too small to take my main Smart TV which is got relocated to the bedroom. So easy to set up and use. I generally use for TV and YouTube. I am really pleased with it

Reasonable television suited for a bedroom
This television is ideally suited to a bedroom. I have not yet been able to try out any smart functions. The menu is quick and responsive and tuning in the channels was easy. Picture quality is very acceptable, and DVD playback also acceptable. Sound quality is quite poor though with poor maximum volume, and higher volumes cause the case to vibrate which distorts the sound.

The buttons to control the tv is at the back. And to change channel or volume you have to press it in and flick. (Horrible) Screen is quite dark tried adjusting it and volume low. I couldn’t return it! So don’t open a tv from Argos unless you are 100% you will like the features. Couldn’t return so set it up very unhappy with Argos and the tv Bought a Bush instead

I have not received the insurance policy for the TV combo was told it would be within two weeks that was 20 Feb it's now 14 March and I am still waiting if iNEW THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE A LONG TIME I WOULD NEVER HAVE HAD THE INSURANCE SO AS FOR THE TV I GIVE 5STARS AS FOR THE INSURANCE I GIVE O STARS IF I DONT GET IT WITHIN THE NEXT 7DAYS I WILL BE WANTING MY INSURANCE MONY BACK

Terrible
Was ok to begin with but after a few weeks it started to get really really slow! Once in a blue moon it will load up youtube every other time it tries then kicks you out instantly.. It is literally the slowest piece of technology iv ever used. Only bought it so the misses could watch her cooking programmes etc, etc in the kitchen whilst cooking, now the tv hardly gets used..

Overall a good tv
The Internet connection isn't the best and can freeze sometimes. Also found that the sound disappears on the occasion and then comes back really high. Picture is as expected for a 720p TV. Ease of use is great as bright for daughter who can navigate to Netflix and YouTube with ease due to the remote functions being so accessible. Overall am pleased for the price i payed.

New Tv for Auntie
Brought this TV as an early Christmas gift for my 83 year old Auntie. Once I put it together it looked as if it was leaning forward slightly, so I dismantled it to find there is only one way to put it together.As yet have been unable to activate the WIFI as the BT Hub is an old one & not appearing to be selected. Hope to get the HUB upgraded & will see how it go then

Not bad for the price
Not a bad TV set but not the best either. Can't get the colour right and people's faces are very pale. Tends to tilt a little at the bottom which takes some getting used to. Sound quality is not that great. Easy enough to set up and a nice size. Connects to internet easily enough and does everything you would expect a smart TV to do. Overall it serves its purpose.

Dreadful
Well that didn’t work. When you turn it on all seems well but then it turns itself off again. And again. Almost like a sleep mode set to 2 seconds. Interestingly as I walked out of the store someone stopped in the car park and said they had returned theirs as it didn’t work. I wrote their comment off as a one off bad luck but I now suspect a design error.

An excellent tv
This is a truly great tv. It’s stylish and well designed. The picture quality is excellent and it was very easy to set up. Netflix and YouTube come as standard, and the tv also connects to your home WiFi which is a great bonus. You can download an App to use your phone as a remote too. I’m very glad we chose this product and would definitely recommend it.

A ‘small’ TV with a full screen and great picture
We buy TVs that do not dominate a room, we just want a small TV that we can easily watch. We also decided that we wanted a TV with integrated DVD player. This Hitachi TV and DVD player really fulfills our needs, we have an ample size screen with great picture quality and it’s so easy to change the DVDs and navigate through the viewing options and channels.

Television
Very disappointed in the product. The sound is very tinny and does not give enough volume. The information for programmes disappeared twice . You have to scroll down every channel , it would have been nice to scroll down a page. Very disappointed that there was no way of streaming an iPad to the tv. If I had known this I would not have purchased this model.

Terrible sounds
The sound quality was absolutely horrendous - I’m not picky and only wanted something to just watch normal telly on and it was almost inaudible. Also the DVD player on my one didn’t work but even if it had I wouldn’t have kept it as the sound was so poor. Argos service was great though as they collected the next day and did the refund really quickly.

Great telly for the price
Good telly for the price. Emergency purchase at 10pm so I could watch the rugby final the next morning! Easy to set up - connectivity good. Have bought a matching sound bar which helps with sound quality. Issues are that the DVD player is quite loud when using it, and there is no hard off button (or not that I have found)... Would recommend though.

A Great Television
A great television which was so easy to set up also the picture is amazing and the sound is very clear. Fast delivery from Argos to Courier and Courier to us. The ONLY downside is the television is black BUT the base is a silvery bronze, if the television was being put on a wall the base wouldn't be used. The television is great value for money though.

Sound breaking up during Freeview play
I bought this TV as I had been very satisfied with the quality of my previous Hitachi. However, the sound continually breaks up or goes silent during catch up. It is not a problem with my internet as the other TV works perfectly well during Freeview play. The programme guide freezes at 12. Will be looking for a refund or replacement after Christmas.

Very useful "multi-purpose" TV
Needed a bedroom-size TV with smart features and,especially,a built-in DVD player. Not many about nowadays - this one appears to meet all needs,and it is at a competitive price. So far its working fine and reasonably easy to use. Cannot play blue-ray discs,but that was never needed. All-in -all a good,multi-purpose "2nd" TV at a good price.
