Not worth it unless your willing to spend the extra cash on other smart products, otherwise it's no better than your phone.

Great product
Bought for daughters xmas gift. She is delighted with it. Does most things she requires at the moment. Some questions can't be answered as yet but it is adequate for her needs. Nice discreet design and simple to set up. Bought at reduced price but even at full price it would be worth it. Ordered one for myself now. Delivery was delayed by courier and package slightly damaged (item undamaged) Disappointed with courier previously but I'll give them the benefit of doubt that it was the time of year

I baught 3 as presents! They are amazing value!
Amazing value for money and great presents! I baught 3 as gifts, and they blew their recipients away! They are almost like having a butler in the house - it never gets things wrong, and you can ask them to do anything from remembering shopping lists, to creating calendar event reminders that email or txt you when they are due, to rolling a dice or playing other games, playing music, controlling smart devices like turning lights on and off or playing things on your smart cast tv, etc! Recomended!

An excellent self collection service run by Argos
I was expecting a long wait for collection when I parked outside the Tunstall branch. It took less than 5 minutues to pick up my device and take it home with me. I cant say how the product is because it was a present for my nephew.

Google Home Mini
Good bit of kit. Quite sociable and linked up with Spotify brilliant! Sound quality for such a small speaker quite good and the speed of retrival of queries surprisingly quick even for Google! Bought one for myself, one for my elderly and disabled mum (who loves it!) and one as a present. Lots of hidden tasks in it....for a bit of fun try asking it to "Self Destruct" or for a game tell it "I'm feeling lucky!"

pros: good looks affordable Cons: No 3.5mm or Bluetooth audio output no top touch control beside volumes always needs to be connected to the power socket

Black Friday promotion
I didn't know that I needed one of these until l saw them advertised on the Black Friday deal. It's definitely worth the price and really handy for random questions that pop into your head. Service at the Blackheath branch was good too

These home assistants will become a standard part of every household over the next few years as more and more products are being developed to be controlled by them, I now have both Google and Alexa in my house and they both have great uses.

Kids loved it!
Given as a Christmas present so early days but the kids particularly enjoyed it. It responds to human voices really well. Can't answer all questions of course but quite impressive on the whole. Also has a sense of humour e.g. Hey Google, can you speak more quietly? Response - Yes I can in a whisper! Not sure I would want to spend more money on this technology but the mini is great fun.

Christmas present
Easy to set up and use. Compact with a decent length of cable so its not stuck rite next to a socket. Plays music clearly and its mic picks up our voices from next rooom.

Don't buy this unless you own wire cutters!
Argos on-line fast-track is excellent. The hassle started when unpacking. The plastic bubble and box was virtually impenetrable. Used wire cutters on the nylon garrotte and manacles that secured the doll to the back. Eventually, the doll was presented to Nana who, sadly, is afflicted by Alzheimer's and,.by this time, had become disinterested. Although it is likely that Annabell will be hurled in fear and confusion at the wall, she is very flexible and should .be resilient maltreatment.

Google home mini
Have used the home mini for a week and very pleased with it. It will give weather anywhere, not only one`s own weather. It will give an answer to almost any question asked of it. It will give the price of any share on the stock market. Sadly it cannot, at present, be used as a phone in the UK. Set-up is easy, even for an 88 yr old, if an Android tablet or phone with minimum of 4.4.2 is available.

Amazing
Best thing ever. I’d recommend the google speaker over the amazon as i have google and mym dad has amazon so when i compare them to being in each others the google one is more efficient, louder, clearer and understanding. Goes well with my larger google speaker and enables me to have music playing throughout each room i have one in. When speaking to it the closest one will pick your voice up and reply only on that one.

Excellent bit of kit!
Excellent addition to our home tech. Efficiently connects to Android and Apple smartphones and chromecast tv and audio seamlessly. Fun, fast and speaker is powerful enough for the purpose in which it was intended. Design is simple and understated, blends into any environment and is small enough not to take up valuable space. Really favour this over other products available. Well done Google! Excellent service from Argos - from start to finish.
