Much better sound than the smaller one.
I have been using the smaller one since they came out and I find the connectivity especially for information much better than my Alexa. The sound quality is a lot better than the smaller one, but overall thay are the same. If you want it for smart link to the internet just buy the smaller one if you want it for music as well get this one. The smaller one plays music and is good but the larger one has the edge on better sound quality.Great little product. Now would not be with out.

Great fun
I chose Google as they are more concerned with software than their rival. Amazing bit of kit. Great help site you can get online and chat etc so I found it all really easy. Yes you have to sign up with your music provider ie Spotify which is £10 a month if you want to select specific songs but you don't need to; it will tune in to any radio station or select almost any type of music by tuning into those stations; syncs with your google diary etc, no need for radio or cds! Love it

Google Home, What Fun....
We have had our Google Home for a couple of weeks now, and it gets used everyday. Take it out the box, download the app on your phone or tablet and follow the instructions. Easy! Kids like it, Grandparents like it and at a recent party our friends liked it. It's so easy to use. Put Spotify on it and everyone gets a chance to ask for a tune they like. Google home is honestly much better than we thought it would be. We have since bought another one! We recommend it to all.........

Does the job
Not a patch on the amazon echo plus in terms of quality , looks, clarity ease of use of ap. the general look of ap etc. The speakers are no where near the quality of sound compared to the amazon device either. However, I have got used to it now and it does the job operating philips hue light bulbs and the nest thermostat E . I set it up for my elderly mum So that she can turn on her light and heating easily by voice commands, So, from that point of view it is working well.

Very easy to set up, just follwed the instruction.
The item arrived i n a perfect condition. It also came with a manual in the box on how to set up the device. I found the instruction & the steps for setting up the device very easy to follow.. It is handy for asking and receiving answers about the weather, temperature, distances between different locations, general encyclopedia.,movie casts, Reading the headline news and also turning on and off devices which can be controlled by wifi switches. It can also stream Radio channels.

Excellent Item
The First thing to say about the Google Home is WHAT A FANTASTIC ITEM. I placed my order online with Argos and that was so easy to do and within 5 hours It was delivered and I had it up and working. And I choose a delivery slot to suit me. Great delivery service from Argos. Downloaded the home app on my smartphone and the rest was so easy. The sound from this unit just blows me away. I would never have thought you could get such a great sound from such a small compact Item.

This needs some work.
The setup i found to be clunky. i set this up near to my wifi router in order to make sure that a low signal wouldnt hamper the install. I was wrong. I registered both the speaker and the google chromecast. Even when they had both confirmed that they were signed in. They weren't.The quality of the speaker was very poor with far too much bass in the audio, fine for spoken word but i found it next to useless to listen to music on unless the volume was at he absolute minimum.

Fab gift for anyone
After a quick research I thought this stands out and so far no disappointment. Instant answers, my girl uses it to ask for bedtime stories, jokes, spelling if I’m not around. If I am to state any downfalls is the need to have it wired- it doesn’t get charged and perhaps the speaker could have a better sound quality when compared to some blootooth speakers playing music. Got it for £20 less due to Father’s Day so couldn’t be happier. A very smart little thing.

A surprisingly powerful addition to the home
I'd tossed and turned over introducing smart home/voice technology to our home for a while. I appreciated being able to play music and listen to the radio by command. But when it comes to organising events, telling me the news and otherwise controlling the house, I was sceptical about how functional it would really be - and that hasn't changed. But, I've learned to love it for what it is: an affordable - and surprisingly good - wireless speaker with great connectivity.

Quite good
I've been wanting a smart speaker for a while, but only when the price became non-consequential. During black friday there were handsome discounts which took it to a good price point. Sound quality is OK. If you're looking to use this primarily as a speaker for your music, I'd look elsewhere as there are many better speakers for the same price, in terms of quality. It's better than the new Echo, though - if that's your benchmark. All in all, very cool gadget though

Best smart speaker
Google home draws on google maps, google search and. Google music. If I was subscribed to google music then I would give 5 stars. So this is just my opinion. Since I was a little misled as it said I could play music through the speaker. Yes I can via Bluetooth like any other bluetooth, but can’t tell it to play music directly from iTunes or Amazon. You can control devices that are connected, so chrome cast to tv you can tell it to play movies and channels on there.

Great Sound for a Small Device
Got a Google Mini which I was pleased with, after hearing good reviews regarding the sound quality of this I decided to get one of these too. Setting up the device is really easy, just plug it in, download the Google Home App and away you go. The one thing that blew me away was the quality of the sound. Bass quality is brilliant. Asking it questions on traffic and weather is helpful. Some of the games and gimmicks it also does it quite fun. Would definitely recommend.

Fun but needs more updates
Works well, connects easily to my Hue lights and Nest thermostat. It takes getting used to and how to phrase your questions to get an answer. Many things it can't do yet (but I'm sure it is a work In progress with updates coming through every so often). It can't recognise more than 1 user, it can't call using your smart phone, it can't send personalised emails and it can't order you stuff online amoungst other things. A work in progress but I think good value overall.

Really love my Google Home!
I was looking for new speakers and rather than go for a full sound system, wanted something smaller and that wouldn't take up to much room. The sound quality and volume surprised me the most. I use it most days for music and news updates and its clear and fairly loud for its size. I would says it's a little bassy, but honestly for me it's great. Setting up up was also straight forward. I am already considering buying a second one, so would highly recommend!

I LOVE this gadget!!!
Absolutely amazing device to be updated with weather, time, alarms, etc. It is conveniently activated by voice (very accurate word recognition) so it is easy to activate/interact with it specially when doing other activities at home. It makes my mornings splendid playing music from Spotify and giving me information about the forecast. It could also be controlled with the mobile as a speaker. I highly recommend this product since I'm impressed with its functionality.

Wow, Sounds Incredible for such a small speaker
I was a little sceptical about a smart speaker but I decided to go for the Google Home. Set up was easy and within about 5 mins I had it installed and set up, I am still learning all the things I can do with it but my main reason was to stream radio which it does with ease. The sound is incredible, far more powerful than you would expect to get from such a small speaker but it packs a decent punch with good bass, midrange and top end. Would certainly recommend one.

Small but potentially powerful
Google Home is the future but not yet. At the moment, it's a fun thing to have but it's not ready yet to be used seriously for anything more than playing music, interfacing with a few things like lights, adding to the shopping list, getting the news and weather and listing though not amending your appointments. I like the sense of humour but hate the comments that say "I can't do this yet". Can Google catch Alexa? I hope so but it's too early to say. Ok Google?

Great gadget to have.
I have the home in my livingroom as I've got the Amazon echo in my bedroom and a dot in kitchen. Home is a catch up with the echo . But it does things the echo can't. Google is easier to answer your questions. Some won't be bye the echo. It's a top gadget to have in anyone's home. Mine is all linked up to my smart electric. And have smart lights all around my flat. So it's really cool to just say. Hey Google lights on bedroom etc. Go get one it won't disappoint.

Works really well
I got it for free in a bundle with the phillips hue GU10 starter kit. It's a really handy thing to have, it picks up your voice really easy and you can use it for many interesting things (turning lights off, put the kettle on, etc.). There are some features that could need an update, like making it understand that your daily commute is not *just* public transport or *just* driving, but maybe a combination of transport methods. But google are constantly updating it.

Probably the best of the bunch
Having tried Amazon’s speaker and not been impressed, I went for this instead. Aesthetically it won’t win any awards but it is easy to set up and it has a big sound for such a modest-looking device. The voice recognition process can be a bit hit-and-miss, and in some cases a waste of time as it seems to respond to anyone who throws a “hey google” in its direction. But generally it is on standby as expected and ready to help without spontaneous outbursts!

I like it
I generally like it. At the moment it doesn't do much. I mostly use it when I'm cooking so I can listen to the radio and set timers without having to touch anything. It's also good for the weather in the morning. I didn't realise how little you can do without paying extra e.g. you have to have spotify premium to be able to use it with spotify which is a bit disappointing. It has an excellent speaker and it can hear your voice and what you're saying very easily.

Absolutely amazing bit of kit
I am so pleased I purchased this google home its way better than the amazon dot I love playing music on Spotify but to do that you have to have a premium account which they don't tell you that but that's just minor apart from that I love my google home use it every day and would recommend to anyone if your thinking about getting a virtual assistant don't get the amazon dot get the google home it wins hands down all the time enough said I'll leave it up to you

Play Value and Potential
What fun, easy to set up and then to talk to , the Google Home has lots of potential. You can search and do sums and add events to the calendar just by chatting, and with a subscription to Google Play Music, or several other services you can play tunes (even "OK Google play Radio 1"). It has lots of potential for home automation but currently without more smart stuff it's great fun and lots of play value, but not sure if it's worth the asking price.......
