A piece of garbage
No matter what I tried - charging the battery overnight, reading the directions and doing everything as directed, it just doesnt link with my IPhone 6 running the latest OS. And there is no way to upgrade the software on this thing so it works. Dont waste your money or time on this piece of garbage or youll regret it. Id rate it zero if it was possible to do so.

unreliable
This product is very hard to pair. After a year of difficult use it stopped pairing with any device. It has a very loud warning sound when it is about to quit working. Seems to be a power issue. I have tried multiple power sources without positive outcome.

Great Solution
Bought this for the boat. I didn't want to run wires and mount speakers so this is perfect. I can attach it to the stereo on the boat or my iPod and pair with my Soundlink III without any cords or wires (plus I can move the speaker around where I need it instead of being either bolted to the cabin wall below or using the cheapie outdoor speakers in the cockpit.) Great solution and works perfectly.

The perfect Bluetooth backup
The BlueGate RXT works great as a transmitter and a receiver. No issue connecting to any device. I use it with a iPod and the Fugoo XL speaker, just so I don't have to have the iPod hardwired to the speaker. Not one issue. Follow the instructions and it will work perfect. If connect to power after you have synced with the speaker. You might have to repair the bluetooth, but just takes a second. Distance seams to be better when you connect power to it.

Great Gadget
Great gadget for audio streaming. If you own old devices (TV, Stereo, Hi Fi systems) this gizmo will do the job. I use it with my Bedroom TV, streaming the audio hooking the headphones output and then pairing the RXT-2 to my Skullcandy headphones Great future the receiver/ transmitter mode. You can send any audio signal to any bluetooth device or receive de audio signal from smartphones, iPod, Tablets using a regular wire headphones. Include cables and adapters

bluetooth receiver and transmitter
I use it for my mp3 player to make it wireless. Easy to operate and nice little device. Only minus: sending and receiving can get confused in areas with too many other signals.

Not great for video watching
Easy setup, good enough for music, in videos voice is always behind, voice break up too often, hard to enjoy movie sometimes, I use a 70 tv as a computer monitor with Bose Lifestyle, Bluetooth adapter connected to headphone jack, using Beats Bluetooth headphones (I'm seating twelve feet away)

Best Bluetooth Module So Far
The BlueGATE RXT 2 delivers good audio volume to my expensive full size deep bass Shure headphones. I can't judge technical audio quality but it sounds good to me in terms of low and high frequency range. I have used it to play about six hours of music from my iPhone non-stop without battery power loss several times. It might go for even longer. Good performance for Bluetooth
Simple, easy to understand and hook up. Super performance. I have this Rec./Trans. unit as the receiver, accepting signals from a Transmitter on my stereo. Once I got it working it's great. Had to get the manufacturer on chat, however, as the lights are misleading if the unit is powered up by an AC/USB charger. does seem to use industry std 0000 code
purchased to use with a Bluetooth speaker. It would not pair with the speaker. Instructions for pairing were simplistic at best, leading to more frustration. Speaker paired with another transmitter.Apparently this device was designed to pair to smart phones or devices that can enter a pairing code. A speaker uses code '0000'. When trying the Receive mode, a random 4 digit number was issued by the device. I assume the same digits are the code for transmitting, but there is no way to program a speaker to enter a code.

Not the best product on the market
Some people seem to like it, and for some uses it might be quite OK. I'm using it now as a receiver to hook up to a guitar amp/speaker at my home. Sounds quite OK on the speaker. But if you listen with headphones you'll notice the sound quality isn't all that great. Quite a bit of background noise and not totally crisp sound. Not surprising since it seems still to use Bluetooth 2 codec. I later bought an alternative product that uses bluetooth 4 APTX (was also looking for low latency, which the BlueGATE doesn't provide)So overall usable for some, but better products on the market.

Very small Bluetooth RX/TX
This bluetooth device is very small and can be used as a transmitter or receiver.The audio quality is very good from both modes.It comes with several adapters so it can be used with the normal types of audio in/out jacks.When using as a transmitter, it must be paired every time you use it.
