the camera is amazing
My friend owned a DJI Mavic Pro and I bought this newly released Mavic 2 Pro. We flew together over the weekend. The camera is amazingly good. Its definitely worth the investment. I also bought the flymore kit after I got this drone.

2nd review after a few months
I was interested to advise you once again after several months on the release of this model because the altitude that you will see in the control when you fly this drone will not be the same register on the files. So? whenever you need the geotag to see which flight altitude you shot that photo, you will not be able to know, because they are referencing meters above sea level. not the ground level you started from .

Magic 2 pro
Outstanding drone. Pro level prrformance. Lands and flies easily. Image quality and light sensitivity on par with my Nikon D7200 and D 750. I found the aircraft to becVERY stable and the controls precise and crisp. Tripod mode yields cinematic silky smooth maneuvers

First I havent had the opportunity to actually fly the unit yet but the written instructions are almost a waste. Go on You Tube theres a large number of instructional videos. Also updating the firm wear through the phone app is a waste of time - it takes way too long if it ever works at all. Down load the DJI assist program to your lap tap and do the updating through that. There are also a couple of other apps you can get for your phone like the B4U Fly app that gives you the restrict airspace around your area. I would definitely look at that if you plan to fly in a near a metro area.

Mavic Zoom is incredible Lost my Phantom 3 in an Iowa cornfield. I had already to buy a Mavic. Its easy to use and the videos and pictures are great. From Phantom 4 SE to Mavic 2 Zoom

1st Drone
This is my first drone. The app steps you through the initial setup and software upgrades with ease. The drone is easy to fly. You tube have been very helpful with some of the set up questions. If youre new to this and hesitant to take the plung, dont hesitate, just do it. You wont be disappointed. Its pretty fun.

Controller shipped with new Mavic 2 does not work
The controller will not go beyond showing it is charged. It never goes to CONNECTED. Without those magic words you can do nothing. I tried updating the firmware. I am now trying to deal with DJI. I have no resolution yet to report

Top Drone for Photos
I bought this drone because I am interested in aerial photography. I am aware of the amazing video capabilities of the Mavic 2 Pro, but they were second on my priority list. Awesome and full of technology
My previous drone was a DJI Phantom 2 vision plus, the Mavic 2 pro is in a complete class by itself comparatively. This drone has so much more technology, and is so much easier to fly its amazing. It also sets off and flies much quicker than the Phantom 2. I dont think you can go wrong with this one. Its also super portable which makes it much easier to use.

Fast service as always! Loved the Mavic Pro and now having a blast this Fall with the Mavic 2 Pro. Camera is crazy clear, and the pan up function adds another dimension to the video! Buy some ND filters and you are set!

GOOD BUT NOT GREAT
It is not a Hasselblad quality, the distortion of barrel in video is very remarkable, DJI should give us solution to this problem. The control of the aircraft is not as smooth or precise as a Phantom 4 pro.

Great drone but I want more
Don't get me wrong, this is an excellent drone for photography and video in the market. The images and video footages are very useable. The raw DNGs, the 4K videos, the colors are all mesmerizing. And, I want more in these areas: [1] more resolution [2] less noise when the ambient light is lower [3] larger sensor [4] higher resolution videos ( 4K) [5] less fragile components [6] longer lasting batteries

Get Ready... this is crazy
So, my history is S800, s1000, and the demised Karma. This just made all of my experience stand on end. You will not be sorry you purchased this drone, just be ready to spend some time in the great (wide) outdoors relearning how all the features work. Several bug reported
Pay attention to before you buy it, specially on the DJI forum for the bug reported on this new model, the mavic 2 pro and zoom. Until now I wasn't able to make any jog with it because the altitude is measuring wrong data. Dji Promised to solve the issue but till now is still running with this bug

Pay very attention to the problem on this drone!
Due to the newness of this models I found that this new drones has a bug in the altitude data that is saving the values totally wrong, by the time you use this drone and you need to take note to the altitude reached the value will appear completely wrong like this: 117493376.6 Note this is a new bug that DJI has knowledge and pay attention before you buy! follow the DJI forum to know if this bug was updated. https://forum.dji.com/thread-163684-1-1.html

Takes some getting used to, but worth the effort
I've been a DJI guy since the Phantom 1, and I've enjoyed every one of them. I've drowned 2 and another ate a tree (all my fault) and had another do a fly-away. Advanced features, Stable and an outstanding camera
There seems to be a bit of backlash on the Mavic 2 Pro online. I have not experienced any disappointment with this drone. I have had a number of DJIs and 3DRs and well this unit really is heavenly bliss compared to the past. Compact so you can easily take it with you. Fantastic battery life as well as fast recharge. Stabile and easy to fly. Camera is amazing. Have shot in full light and at dusk and have been impressed. I have not at this point had a chance to go through the added features like hyper lapse. Sadly I live in a NFZ so its hard to practice without a drive out of the zone.

This thing rocks
I bought it for travel purposes, but am now using it as my main squeeze instead of my two Phantom Pro 4 drones. A little disappointing that when you shoot RAW, the camera processor doesn't have quite enough power to compensate for lens barrel distortion, so if you are a fan of shooting RAW/HDR, expect that you will lose a little resolution when you correct the curved horizon in post production. EASY OUT OF THE BOX
As a current user of DJI (Phantom) the DJI Mavic was a breeze to pull out of the box and get in the air. The simplicity of the control panel was very refreshing. No more big box to pack around. The drone is much quieter than the Phantom. The zoom is going to be a great new feature. The size of the Mavic is unreal. Easily able to pack in my backpack when we hit the high country. Only downfall right now is the inability to get extra batteries. However, the flight time is much improved from the Phantom... As of right now following my first few flights I love it.

Great Drone
This is my first drone and it took me a day to get use to the hang of the controls. Flaying the drone is easy,, it captures stunning video which meets my expectation, and I am working on mastering a few other options the drone offers such as follow me and time lapse. I am still learning this drone. I can say this drone is worth it..
