Smart man's QC35s
You can buy these for a fraction of the QC35s and then add a bluetooth module to them, making them a much cheaper bargain than the QC35 ones. Just be careful which module you choose: Airmod = PROS look like they are part of the headphones - buttons are good CONS expensive, voice call quality is poor, needs proprietary cable to charge Myriann = PROS excellent sound quality, Easy to charge using microUSB cable while attached, easy to press buttons CONS terrible voice call, juts out

Amazing
Nice sounding headphones. The noise cancelling is quite amazing. When in a noisy environment it really works so you don't need to have the volume as high. Comfortable to wear and compact when folded into the case, which is also of a high quality, giving good protection. My worry was that I wouldn't be able to use these with equipment that just has a standard stereo jack out, as opposed to phones that have the more complex jack, but they work fine with everything. Highly recommended.

Bose Quiet Comfort 25
I have spent the last two months reading reviews and testing where possible, many different types and makes of headsets. I was looking closely at the Sony equivalents of the Bose 25's but after reading a few negative reviews and realising that they were large and not especially comfortable for long periods of time I eventually opted for the Bose 25's. I had been able to test them at Heathrow airport a few weeks ago and was very impressed by the sound quality, light weight and comfort.

good for noise cancelling
I use these for noise cancelling purposes only. Great for reducing background noise. Using them daily throughout the working day, the battery lasts about 3 days before it needs to be replaced. A battery is included but it would have been much better if a battery charger was also included with the headphones. The headphones are comfortable, though too awkward to wear when sleeping. I can't give an opinion on the sound quality when listening to music as I've never used them for this.

A great pair of headphones for flights etc
A great pair of headphones, but only if the batteries are fresh. If this is not the case, the sound quality - which is crisp and mellow but offers an underwhelming bass - will decrease gradually over time. The ANC is fine, I have experienced better when trying the newer models of course but you really don’t need noise cancelling to be any more advanced than this The headphones are very comfy. I have worn them for 14 hours straight before and yet did not experience any discomfort

25 is an improvement, but not worth it
Compared to my Bose QC 15, this one is not worth the upgrade.Let us start with the PROS: in terms of comfort and portability, the 25 is definitely better. The noise cancellation also improved slightly.As for the CONS: the new sound signature is not for me. I prefer the 15 over this one. The 25 has forwarded bass which is not what I want. I prefer to have better clarities in the mids and high. If you are a bass person, I guess this headphone is for you. If not, then look else where.

Comfort and Superb Sound
Love these Cans. Comfortable enough to wear for hours on a transatlantic trip. Aircraft noise gone, leaving me to enjoy the music as it was meant to be listened to. Wide sound stage shows up each instrument and the Bass is natural not a synthetic thump thump. Thank you Argos I got my dream headphones and am listening to music more than ever. Design seems plastic vs what you expect for the brand and price but has the advantage of making them light weight and very very comfortable.

Great Noise Cancelling Headphones
I used a pair of QC15's for many years, for noise cancelling (NC), and was very happy with them - failed eventually. These QC25's were their replacement and have now been replaced by the QC35's. The 35's are wireless and have an integral, non changeable, battery - QC25's are wired, use AA batteries and are now much cheaper - otherwise much the same. Extremely good, possibly the best you can get, at NC (35's & 25's). Very good, though not the best available, at sound reproduction.

Bose QuietComfort 25 headphones are superior
Fourth kind of noise cancelling headphones I have owned. Bose has really superior noise cancelling technology compared to all others I have heard. Wearing comfort is also superior. After several hours of wearing, I didn't have any feeling of pressure from these headphones, unlike others. Sound quality is very good with highs and midrange separation very nice. Base is not overpowering for those who need to have their head pounded. I don't. Pricy???? You get what you paid for!!

Great price reduction but still a bit expensive
My main reason for purchase was noise cancelling on long flights. I can confirm that they were perfect on a recent long haul flight. Why pay up to triple the cost for Bluetooth headphones when you still use a cable on the plane? Very comfortable, the single AAA battery has not run out yet and the headphones fold up into a good quality provided bag. They are labelled as apple/Mac compatible but work fine on android but in some phones the in line volume control does not work.

Excellent Nose suppression
Got these in anticipation of a transatlantic holiday late this year. These are the iPhone compatible model, on Android the play/pause button works but not the other buttons or the microphone. Ordered an Android cable on eBay. Sound quality excelled both with or without the nose cancelling turned on, , noise cancelling exfellent (can't hear Emmerdale on the TV!). Only issue is that after a while your ears get a bit sweaty but with over ear headphones this is hardly a shock.

Buy one for entertainment and an extra for yard work
I have always enjoyed the sound quality o this unit on airline flights, sitting on the couch etc, but this time I bought one just for use on tractor and other power equipment. The noise cancellation is so effective while mowing, the stress is greatly reduced! Time flies by while listening to your favorite music. I think the extra set is great because I sweat so much on these humid days, I keep the other one clean for inside activities. The noise cancellation if fabulous!

Amazing sound quality
You can trust the brand. It sounds great either you're listening to classical or electronic music or watching movies, i am more than satisfied with its quality. The only downside is that there is no bluetooth connection which is a shame really as i could buy an other type for a little bit of extra money. The description did not mention that. I believe thay it could have been highlighted during the purchase process as these days bluetooth connection is a requirement.

Great noise cancelling and good sound quality
The headphones are comfortable and sound is great the noise cancellation is fantastic my only gripe is when in the gym they're not good at all as when you lie on the bench they will fall off your head. So I would say if you looking for comfortable noise cancelling commuting headphones these are great but on the other hand if you're looking for a nice pair for the gym I'll probably avoid or just get an extra cheaper pair for the gym. But when running they're fine.

Comfortable and great at noise cancelling
The noise cancelling feature is strong. On trains, the sound of the engine is completely removed, making it possible to listen to what you want at a reasonable volume. They are not able to completely cancel out speech, but they can certainly reduce its volume. I can wear these for hours with no discomfort, and often wear them whilst not listening to anything, just to have some queity from the surroundings. Quality is fantastic, I really recommend these headphones.

Comfortable, well performingheadph
I had an older pair of QC15s that had finally given up after several years active service around the home, town and office and a few long haul flights. Decided to get pretty much the same pair but a little step up. I'm sure the wireless ones are great but the wired are fine and actually quite beneficial for things like sitting at a desk and on airplanes. Super comfortable and the sound quality is great. I'll definitely be having these as long as possible.

New, but Excellent!
While I have not had the chance to use them on an airplane yet, I have used them while using a riding lawnmower, and while I can slightly hear the mower and tractor, the sound is Significantly Reduced! I had to wear ear protection before and I have found these headphones to be even better sound protection (and I get to listen to my music - a great bonus). I will be flying to Ireland in another month, and I'll update the review then, but for now - NOTHING BETTER!

Great flight companions
Not a fan of in the ear anything and constantly fly. These make the plane noise and most everything else go away offering the best atmospheric tranquility. If you listen to music then you won't even hear the crying brat kicking the back of your chair, or their mother encouraging them via words to behave or the nice man in front of you will get mad. Too late was already mad at the undisciplined rotten little.... Worth the high price tag- quality is obvious.

Great Value headphones
Quite:lower frequency's knocked out ,everything else gets fairly reduced.Comfort:light weight ,soft ear pads,great material's.Sound:With noise cancelling mode on,sound is louder and over all better equalized.Sound with noise cancelling mode off ,volume is lower and mids seem flat.Though I have tested this mode with a quality headphone amp and that more than fixed up the sound.With the amp the mids were rich and all there and over all sound was perfect!!!

Best noise-cancelling headphones I've ever used
My office is somewhat noisy. So what? With these on it's so silent, I can hear my own pulse; the only thing that makes it through, part of the way, is a bit of typing and people talking. The sound quality is pretty decent, too, so long as they're on... but why would you ever use them without having power? Get a bunch of spare AA batteries, and you're in business; a single one will last a week. Or get a pair of rechargeable ones. Easily worth the money.

Well established headphones and still great.
I bought these headphones based on other reviews and am very pleased I did. They have been around for a while yet the sound quality, comfort, noise cancelling and compact foldaway design are all impressive and they still look good. Although wireless headphones are very popular now experts maintain that wired cans currently have the edge regarding sound quality and you can use these on plane flights. Some carriers prohibit the use of BlueTooth devices.

Bose QuietComfort 25
I use this product mostly when traveling which is why I wanted the Noise Cancelling functionality. The noise canceling function is superb. This also allows music to be played at a much lower volume since competing with cabin noise is not necessary, saving nearby passengers from the annoying sound leakage as well. I also like the iPhone capable cable which is also handy. The only thing I would add is Bluetooth capability to the Noise Cancelling model.

finally the perfect headphones
After good experiences with Beats (2 pairs), which were pretty fragile, I came home to Jesus with these Bose headphones. The noise-cancelling part is battery (AAA) powered, but everything else is just mechanical -- no need to charge the headphones themselves, which is a big improvement over my last pair of Studio Beats. Also, the sound on these headphones is as clear and reliable as I have ever heard, in any sound system or headphone. I'm so happy!

first time with Bose
these are 1st class headphones , I note that people moan about them not having rechargeable batteries built in, well I say to them buy rechargeable ones then! the wireless ones are ok but you cant replace the batteries in them, these headphones do cut out people chatting and the football on TV etc , and all other extraneous noises so I can listen to the pure music and not extraneous noises 20 out of 10 for sound quality and build and comfort
