Great small desk mic
I bought three of these mics for use in our church. Bought them to replace the two wireless mics we still have. The three mics all sound great and can pick up voices 1' away . We even tested it with someone wearing one of those wireless mics standing at the mics with no problems. I did have to buy 3 bases for the mics: Astatic AS40118 40118 Portable Desk Base for Gooseneck Microphones. Really great bases - heavy with rubberized bottom and dip switches so you can program the button on the top to work in several different ways.

Good mic
This is a good microphone. It sounds very clean and clear. I didn't have any trouble connecting it to my surface mount XLR connector. The height is perfect for my podium. The speaker can be close enough to the mic without being too close. I would buy this product again.

Quality Mic
We use the mic on a lectern at various locations using the house PA Systems. The mic does an excellent job picking up the voice loud and clear. Some systems do not provide phantom power, so we added a phantom power unit to the lectern, and everything works great!
