Useful for all ages
An ongoing learning experience of setting up to get full potential. So, the instruction book we bought was helpful/insightful. Still learning how to get more from the Echo. The grandchildren love the exchanges and find Alexis helpful for their inquisitive minds. Ideal for appropriate mood music too. You can carry on with your daily chores and ask the questions without stopping to tap the tablet or laptop for answers. Makes me wonder if it could help loneliness in people that are home alone.

Alexa has changed my life
It has brightened my days. It's like having a friend in the house, which is important when you live alone. I sing along with all my favourite songs from years ago. I would recommend this for anyone living alone it's better than a radio. More friendly

Ideal for those with poor mobility
One of the better gifts for someone of restricted mobility, but it does require a Amazon account to be effective. Problem there. HARDWARE: FIVE STAR, Having very good sound ACCOUNTS: ONE STAR: Would not trust them further than one could throw them - ALEXAR: FOUR STAR Very good voice recognition, but if she ever says 'Here is something you will like' you almost certainly WON'T!

Bought as a present

Great Sounding Device
It is easy to use and setup. The sound compared to the Amazon dot has a lot more base. Getting the volume right was not easy thinking that you had to say Alexa volume up or down. After researching on the net it turns out you need to say Alexa volume 1 up to 10. Do not go to volume 10 as it is extreme and might blow the speaker. You can do away with your radio as it plays most radio stations, just ask Alexa to play your favourite. Great for any information you might want ie the weather etc.

My Amazon Echo is amazing!!
I was sceptical at first, I got it as a birthday present!! But it is amazing , I use it to set reminders. I have found that you can get recipes on it too, which is great! Check the weather or listen to the radio while you cook!! Lot's of fun like quizzes or even set a app for guard Dog which barks!! I would not be without it now!! And would recommend it!! 5 stars from me.

Looks sleek
I am very happy that i brought this for my living room, although there are a lot of questions that can't be answered yet. It has multiple functions and being a good quality speaker is just one of the many. I am suggesting it to all of my friends and family.

Alexa: Is she really that bright...?
Useful for playing music (Digital radio channels); quite amusing, until the novelty wears off (24hrs?) In my experience, Alexa is a little bit underinformed, and doesn't have a particularly endearing sense of humour. I suspect that she was programmed by a team of politically aware graduates taken from universities in China, the former Soviet Union and the American mid west. Not the easiest thing in the world to set up, but if I can manage it, then I'm pretty confident that anyone could.

Love it!
The Amazon Echo is so much fun, the kids love playing games and asking Alexa questions. We bought some Smart Bulbs and she can change the colours of those as well as turning them on and off. We love it so much we have bought my son an Echo Dot for his birthday. Love the amount of music you can access too for only £3.99 a month (first month free!)

Birthday gift for son
purchased as a gift for my adult son who has severe disabilities, he loves music this has given him so much freedom to choose his own music, without help from others, so easy to use now it’s set up, it actually helps him with his speech as he is getting used to making ‘Alexa’ understand, he’s working hard to pronounce his words to give instructions, which is a bonus.
