Amazon Echo (Gen 2) more than i expected
Have been a bit sceptical about getting an Echo (or any smart speaker) and why? Now that I have one can only say its a must have. Works of course best with linked services e.g. Prime Music (means i get better value out of Prime) and Spotify, but great for listening to Radio too. Alexa is extremely good. One of the best things for such a small device is sound quality. Good deep and full tone. For the price (why pay an extortionate amount) can't ask for more and unless you're a real sound buff.

Sleek modern design does what is says on the box
Not tec savy older customer but managed to get working and enjoy the product able to ask questions and get instant answer and able to drop in on daughter good product

Used to control heating, etc
Great with the hive home heating and hot water and certainly allows me to manage that through Alexa. Was well impressed with the sound quality and volume level when playing music. There are quite a few songs available with prime membership and you can always stream from your phone - however I prefer using Alexa and it does make it tempting to swap from my Music subscription to prime unlimited. Took a little bit of getting used to enabling skills (apps) so shopping lists go straight to phone.

Excellent
Easy to set up only problem tutorial video wouldn't play and being a technophobe wasn't helpful.Other than that still learning what Alexa can do. Would recommend sound quality excellent.

Excellent companion!
This was a 70th birthday gift and my friend is totally in love with her Alexa. It is so useful, from listening to music and radio to finding out the days weather. Alexa will even tell you a joke. I have now bought 4 of these as gifts this year - you really can't go wrong.

Handy wee gadget
This is ideal if you habe typing everything in on google, defo recommend the amazon music. Only downfall is that you have to work it off an app on your phone, this isnt a problem but it isnt the greatest when theres more than 1 of you using it. Everything is controlled from the app like location etc. Nice and compact and really good sound and it plays loud aswell not found it crackly at all. I wanted a sonos originally but im definitely not disappointed in this.

Alexa love it!
Alexa number 2! Bought as a present. Very nifty particularly with Spotify if you like music. Added the Hue lights and bridge. Great present. Sound is brilliant although too loud sometimes!

Amazing product has so many cool features.
Really good product so many amazing features. My 3 year old can also ask Alexa questions. Plays music really well and is really loud for such a small speaker. Definalty happy with my purchase.

Don't bother unless you have infinite amount of £s
Everything the Alexa does you can do yourself on the phone "Alexa what time is it?" or "Alexa, what's the weather today?" good thing is it plays any radio station but then I could of got a radio ! It can also read you books or play music provided you pay for the service via amazon. I have paid for Amazon prime for the films but can't watch them without a amazon fire stick. Now off to Get fire stick the plugs the light bulbs and everything else this thing needs!

Great item To Have

Useful addition
Surprisingly good quality sound for the size of the unit. Bluetooth is very useful-this is what deterred me getting the original! Great for my audiobooks.

Bargain I could not resist
Already being an owner of one of these I could not resist buying another at this bargain price. As stated in a previous review I consider this much better than a digital radio in both sound and convenience. Thanks Argos.

Great Device
Would have given 5 stars but I found the instructions very lacking. Took about 3 hours to get it to work, admittedly we are in our late 60's 70's but once working is great. Love the fact we can listen to any kind of music, ask the weather, remind us for anything. Now we have purchased a light bulb for alexa to control but are having difficulty programming this!

Great fun but also educational .
Not only can you replay all those old tunes , have swathes of your favourite singers songs but get up to date news , travel ect . Just give "Alexa" clear instructions and away she goes . Great fun for all . This could also be good company !! .

Didn't want one...now want one in every room! A*
I was initially very dubious about this little device, thinking it was a novelty gadget. But..having bought for daughter's birthday, we will now be getting one ( the dot too) for all over the house! These are brilliant. Perfect for family home, parties, general info and modern life. Feels great, looks great, brilliant sound quality and great price. Highly recommend getting one and learning what they can do.
