Well my grandson had on for Christmas and myself and my wife were so impressed we bought one too. Its really great, we took the amazon prime account and are at the moment on a free trial period, but the music is great and plenty of it. It does take a little bit of time to get things right, like how to phrase a question to Alexa and if you say thank you to her (female voice) she will say thank you back. Great for help with the old crossword questions when stuck. We are both in our seventies.

What a little gem.
I already had a few Echo Dots in the house but wanted one in the living room. I decided to be more fancy by getting this device instead of the dot and I'm so glad that I did. The sound quality is amazing and as with all the other Amazon devices, the build qualty does not falter either.

I bought this mainly for Amazon music and was going to hook it up to my sound system but was quite surprised that the sound quality was so good for a device that cost just under £90.

A superb piece of tech, simple yet advanced.
This piece of tech is great for anyone. So simple to set up and use, yet the array of features are outstanding, with more applications being added daily, it's certainly one of my favourable purchases of tech. "Alexa, buy me another"

The amazon echo is fantastic
Fantastic sound can tell u anything i can buy different product to work with this item . It can be a alarm clock for everyone at home also alexa can hear you when u are in another room No donts its a plus by me who family love it .

Good little speaker +
Not as easy to set up as I would have liked, but I paired it with another one i’d Bought at Christmas and they are a great pair of speakers. I should have bought more at the price, but next time.

A step up from the dot
A much richer, deeper sound makes this small speaker a must over it's smaller relative. Remarkably, it can pick up voice commands even with sound glaring out at high volume. A great piece of kit.

It's quite good but not perfect.
The main thing I didn't realise is , that you are expected to pay £3.99 every month to Amazon Music to enable Alexa to play music. You can evidently pay Amazon Prime and that also allows you to play music. Still you can still ask it to play a radio station and ask it questions. For me the good thing is for people with dementia or after a stroke ,they only need to say Alexa play radio 4 and it does. It is empowering for invalids though you have to school them in how to ask the questions.

Didn’t work
This was a present, having one ourselves we thought it would make a great gift, and had it worked it would have done. After 3 days of trying to connect to WiFi defeat was admitted and returned. Although the replacement works perfectly, it was rather embarrassing to have to ask the recipient to return it and get a replacement.

Our Alexa is great, love the useful features
We love being able to set reminders and anounce to the kids on their dots that teas ready, instead of shouting through the house ;-)

Nicer than standard white or black
They are fab. Not completely set up yet but my granddaughters love the music and nursery rhymes and it’s good for weather and general questions etc

Great fun and easy to use
Teenagers set it up for me but really enjoying having radio and music so quickly. Still exploring its other functions, like the sound apps and setting it up for a morning routine. But really pleased with it so far.

Id put off buying for over a year . Wish i hadnt its so useful and fun . I find myself being polite to it . After all you never know , they may one day rule the world.

Good sound quality.
Good sound quality and easy to control with the app, via voice or built in controls. Initial setup was a bit complicated, but soon got it communicating. Even managed to link it to my Bluetooth sound bar in another room. Needs clear and simple commands, if not just reported ' don't understand'.
