An amazing Mic

I bought this mic at Guitar Center about a year ago. I bought it for my Wife to do vocals. I have since had the opportunity to use this mic in many recording and stage scenarios. It seem to be good for nearly everything. I really keep being amazed by how well it works. I use it for guitar, vocals, drums, and anything really accept for bass drums. On stage it is extremely sensitive and the feedback rejection is amazing it is hard to believe this is a condenser mic because you never have any of the feedback issues with this that you do with so many of the sdc mics out there. I never expected to be this fond of this mic when I purchased it, and it took me a lot of time to get it through my thick head that it is so versatile, since it is designed for stage vocals. Anyway, I have discovered that the Presence boosting capsule is almost never useful. Do yourself a favor and get one of these, then try it out on everything. You will be pleasantly surprised ... More
Minor fix and fell in love with the mic

Bought my new mic about a week ago. Took some getting used to as the sound is much more clear and cuts through the other sounds of the instruments/voices. Felt like I had to 'push' my voice and within a half hour of the show, had much vocal fatigue. Also, lost the comfort level of the high notes. Was really pulling back on them. Then, my band mates suggested taking out the gold 'cap' inside the mic head (sorry, don't know proper name) and WOW! What a difference! I didn't have to 'push' my voice, and I had total control of the high notes again. Yea!! I'm in love with the mic after that minor fix. Who knew?! ... More
