Exactly What I Expected.
So far, I've only had the opportunity to use this lens on on two occasions and I'm very pleased with the results. I plan to use it on numerous hiking trips this summer. I bought this lens based on recommendations from others.

180195 lens for video
I bought this lens to shoot video with a sony a6500. Perfect team - I now have 2 of these and 2 6500's and buying a third. The video output is incredible! and the lens will stay at 4.0 thru the zoom range - a great advantage.

I had previously reviewed this lens and given it 4 stars, marking it down one star because it was not compatible with the NEX 6's phase detection AF. Now with NEX 6 firmware version 1.03 it is compatible. Upgraded to 5 stars.

A great len
This lens works perfectly with my wifes A6300. She liked the photos very much from this lens. It is great to carry this lens when travelling or just having fun to take the sharp photos. Thanks B&H for the shipping service.

Great lens for my Sony a6000
I opted for this lens instead of the kit 16-50 lens and it was a great choice. It's not oversized, there is a zoom button on the lens, and the pictures are sharp. I like that it is f/4 instead of a range. Great investment

Review Sony 4/18-105
I bought this lens for Trip to Oregon, I took a lot of pictures from Multnomah Falls, Burney Falls, Vista House Crown Point on the Columbia River....I got too many beautiful pictures, I am very satisfied with this lens.

Very nice walk around lens.
Nice and light and great for a walk around lens. Most of my street photography is done with this lens along with some video. The PZ makes for smooth zooms. I would recommend this lens for the price and image quality.

wish it was an F2.8
Love this lens, but wish it was a constant 2.8 The f4 is fine, but there is nothing like shallow depth. I am using this for Video and stills and am looking forward to Sony introducing some more constant fast lens's

An Upgrade All-Around Lens After The 16-50mm?
Smoother zoom motor, better zoom range... sharper results (all the way to f/4). I see this lens as a must-have/upgrade to the 16-50mm lens. It is a bit bulky, but it adds much more versatility to your APS-C camera.

Total waste of money!
I purchased this lens and returned it next day. The focus shifts as you zoom out. I don't understand why they have power zoom when the zoom does not hold focus from telephoto to wide. So don't count of the power

Small and light, great zoom
Love how the zoom can be operated manually or with the motor. Also like how light and compact it is, can't wait to get it on my gimbal with my a6500. Also, love how the lens doesn't extend when you zoom it.

All I want in a travel lense
I purchased this lens and put it to use on a recent trip to Cuba. I love the range with the 1.5x crop factor. Images are crisp and colors are nice. Been eyeing it for a while and I am glad I finally own it.

Great lens! Love it
The pictures come out extremely clear, zoom is very easy to use. Great quality, durable glass. A great all in one travel lens and starter lens to figure out what focal lengths you should get in the future.

Takes cropped sensor shooting to the next level
I've tried several comparable length lenses for my a6400, and once receiving this one it has not come off the body. Mild acceptable chromatic aberration at the corners when wide open, but otherwise clean.

nice lens
its really light, very accurate focus, definite for nature, outside shoots. The only drawback is that it requires distortion compensation which when used with the FS7 it's currently not available in 4K.

LOVE THIS LENS
This is an incredible all-purpose lens. I needed an event solution to compliment my equipment and this lens really transformed my FS100 into that. Without it, I'd probably have purchased another camera.

Great overall lense
This lense is great for all kinds of shouting and video. The autofocus is super smooth. Downsides are the range is tough, perfect for mid range. But, close is hard and obviously far doesn't work great.

Great for outdoor or blight indoor
It is a great lens for outdoor walkaround for almost all situations. Good for both photo and video. The only downside is the size of the lens. I also use this for macro shots with extension tube.

Amazing Investment
I waited for this lens on back order and it was absolutely worth waiting every second. Took my Sony A6000 and gave it new life. I highly reccommend it to everyone looking for an all around lens.

I would buy it again
Excellent lens for the money. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is no tripod collar. So far that doesn't seem to be a problem but I haven't used it on a tripod yet.

Best all around lens for Sony E-Mount
This lens is the best all around lens for the Sony E-Mount. The lens is one of the sharpest zooms out there for the E-Mounts and the auto focus is instant. Highly recommend for a first lens.

Just what I needed
I needed a workhorse lens for my Sony FS-7 for live events and run and gun. Zoomable with plenty fast enough autofocus. Sure 2.8 would have been nice but for the price f4 is not bad at all.

Jack of all trades
I can't speak highly enough of having this lens. Having f4 the whole way through your focal range is incredibly convenient over what the kit lenses offer. It's even built nice to boot!

Best All-Around Lens for the Sony a6300/a6500!
Probably the best all-around lens for the Sony a6300/a6500! Great image quality all the way through from 18mm to 105mm. Light, beautiful build, and I love that it's internal focus.
