Not bad
The cooling fan inside is very loud... As soon as any sound stops coming from the speakers you can really notice it even at low volume levels when watching films etc... Otherwise it's worth buying.

Love the design looks very nice and stylish
Absolutely love this needed a new one as my old one did not have wifi so now i can play music straight from my mobile or laptop so cool as i dont need cds anymore

Fab item
Great bit of kit the only thing that lets it down is that the speaker wire is not long enough for the back speakers and Sony don't do extensions.

Perfect cheaper end system
It sounds perfect and brings out all you want from TV movies and music. The surround is great and can be turned off easily if you want. A little bit hard to set up but it is great non the less There’s few cheap ones around and so this one is a heavy contender

inappropriate for me
No good for me because it only has one HDMI connection. An ARC (auto return channel) which, IN THEORY is supposed to allow all HD equipment connected to a TV through the TV's own HDMI sockets to be heard from this 5·1 system in surround sound BUT IN REALITY (at least in the opinion of numerous HiFi magazines on both sides of the Atlantic) only stereo signals are sent to the surround amplifier using the ARC system and that's why all HiFi surround separates have their own numerous HDMI sockets

Brilliant Product
Brilliant Product. Not as silent though since the update from Sony. This is my second one. My first one started sounding like an old fridge trying to cool down, after the update from sony. But this second one although is slightly noisier, it is more bearable. I can at least hear the actors in quiet moments when watching a movie. Bluetooth is great for streaming the music and the nfc connection is easy. I am really please with it :) Sony just need to sort out their firmware updates!

Mid level
Although this is Sony and generally a easy to use and easy to set up product it's sound quality and output is mid range. The style is very nice and compact but just doesn't seem to give the output stated, which is the main reason for the product. I bought this to replace a pioneer system with 600w of output and it doesn't seem to have even half the power, range or depth of sound. Not what I expected from a Sony product.

Blu-ray system
Sound is really amazing, picture quality is what would be expected for Blu-ray and enhances DVDs very well. Easy to set up, good look. For just under £200 well worth the money

Perfectly balanced aound
Very clear and great sound quality. Easy set up and WiFi enabled Blu-ray player with Bluetooth and aux is great for movies and music and day to day use. My partner and kids love it!

Smashin'
Upgraded from my dvd surround system,and wow, differance!dvd's upscaled to bd quality,so picture,especially with ultra hd tv is superb.sound so clear and smooth,small speakers too so no clutter.very happy with it.options and set up a bit of a faff(prob cos used to samsung and this is how sony is)great price too!

My home cinema looks stylish.
This Sony home theater is what we were looking for. We found the sound ok. Even after reading latter reviews on here. Connecting was easy. We get the full experience ( what wewere looking for) from it. Recommend it. Worth the price we paid for it.

Astonishing sound quality
I bought it for my girlfriend,she admires it and so do I. It was really easy to set up ,the menu is well designed and simple. We went trough the user manual which sums up the features quite decently. I can’t have a bad word on it so far. It truly bring movies and concerts to a new level from our coach! :)

Excellent player and general purpose cinema system
Easy to set up, good sound quality, has optical input to use as tv speakers, and has a good selection of online streaming services. The ability to connect through a phone or computer to stream or cast services is very good. Although it has the optical in, there is no HDMI in, which would have made this blu-ray player perfect.

Great system
I bought this cinema system to replace my old Sony cinema system. This was easy to set up and good depth of sound including the base sound also as this system has wifi built in is has load of online features to. Would recommend

Great looking home sound with great sound
This unit works well with our Phillips television, gives great sound, easy to set up, and ease of use to use the DVD player, I would recommend this Sony outfit, was good value for money, the only slight gripe I have is that there is a minute or so delay before the sound comes on the television, but is worth the wait.

NOT an 800w system
Bought this to replace my 300w system, this is definitely not an 800w system as the sound does not even compare to my existing speakers. There is no weight in any of the speakers and the subfwoofer does not produce the bass that you would want from a cinema system. I took this back as it is not worth the money.

Sony takes some beating
Top quality, as you can only expect from this giant of technology. It arrived on time and well packaged. Very easy to set up and the sound is fantastic. The rear speakers could do with longer cables, but I just fitted a couple of connectors and extra wire. As with most surround sound systems, no HDMI or fibre optic audio sound cables to connect the device to your T.V. but that's not unusual. The upscaling on the Blue Ray DVD players picture and sound is breath taking. Would I recommend? YES!

Good all rounder from a good brand.
Good item as you would expect from Sony. I mainly use this for general T.V. Viewing through my aerial and satellite through an Optical cable and although the sound is good, I have heard better, hence not giving it full 5 stars but don't let that put you off should you want a decent surround-sound system that allows you to change sound modes dependant on what you are watching; "movie, digital music, football" etc. Very easy to set up, good apps!

Connected to a PS4
Bought this purly to connect to a Sony Playstation 4. I have it connected via a optical cable, and using the TV button on the remote I get full surround sound gaming. Seems like a lot of options for different settings. Tried out a blue ray ( Blade Runner ) and was really impressed with the quality. Super easy to install, colour coded ends to the wires connect to the same colour on the main unit.
