Love this wireless microphone
The clarity of the sound thru this microphone to my Bose (L1) is exceptional. However I cannot get rid of feed back when turn up the volume.

What an upgrade!
I had to get a new wireless handheld because of the new laws and wanted to upgrade from my current Audio Technica 3000 dynamic microphone. This Beta was suggested to me, especially since I have a lower ranged voice with a lot of nuances in it. What an upgrade!!! Would buy another one
So far so good! I charged the battery and it never wavered the entire evening for this 4 hour gig. I was careful to turn it off for breaks. Good sound - no issues with this microphone - except with our monitor (another investment we need to make)

Follow-up to previous review
Sorry to say that I have now experienced additional issues with these units using the new settings. A presentation started off fine (even after testing by leaving the system on for an hour), and deteriorated after a few minutes. Turning on a second transmitter and receiver only made matters worse. Seems that there is just too much wi-fi activity in the area that even these sophisticated units could not keep up. We will no doubt be purchasing high... Show More

Very Nice Mike
Granted that I am in a heavily data-congested area (Manhattan NY). I tried this on Group 2 and let the receiver auto-select the channel. Mike sounded fine, but at some point the audio started to get gravel-ly. I changed to Group 1, again letting the receiver pick a channel, and it's been fine so far. See the manual for how many devices can connect for each group, remembering that others might also be using mics on these frequencies, and that wire... Show More

Get out of UHF
I bought this because our campus has 60 wireless in the UHF band and I had no room for more. So I went with the 2.4GHZ band and even with all our wifi floating around this was able to find an open channel. Very Clean, No dropouts. Best sounding transmission over non digital wireless mics. I will be buying several more. The battery life lasts forever and you can recharge it easily with the receiver. And set up was so easy I pressed one button and both transmitter and receiver were synced. I have no Cons for this mic.

One of the best!
I use this Shure microphone for a number of uses; vocal microphone, presentations, concerts. The range is amazing! The quality is outstanding. The best part is the rechargeable battery, slides into the receiver for quick, easy charging. Typically last 10-14 hours. The battery has never died on me! The pick up range of the microphone is awesome. People can hold the microphone where it's comfortable and it will still pick up their voices.

Great Stuff
Durable transmitter case, super easy setup, flexible input capability, RECHARGEABLE BATTERY! And the charger is in the receiver! Easy for professors to figure out (1 switch for power, that's it).

Super Versatile Mic
Not only does this mic intelligently switches frequencies to avoid interferences with nearby mic, the long battery life(16 hours on a 1:30 min single charge) is what got me. I own other brands of mics, bu the battery life is unbeatable in the Shure 87A. Great for events where you don't want be concerned about charging your mic every four hours.
