Great SSD For Windows 10 OS and Apps
Great price point for a reliable fast 4TB SSD. I used the straightforward Samsung Migration tool to copy the Windows 10 OS from my old Samsung 500GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD to this 4TB 860 EVO SSD was seamless. I would have migrated to another M.2 SSD, but the maximum capacity available was 2TB. This 4TB is fast and provides more than enough storage space to back up my 512GB and 1TB iPhone and iPad Pro tablets as well as other Windows applications that require application and data storage on Windows drive. I went from 99% full on the M.2512GB SSD to 20% full on this 4TB SSD.

Fast and reliable performance
It has a live in it while in use or booting up, no hesitation in performing tasks, quite a difference in power consumption if ran on battery power supply. Will buy another for next pc repair soon. thanks for your wonderful service, luc

Fast, Quality SSD at reasonable price

Worth Every Cent
This drive replaced our daughters mechanical in her 5 year old imac laptop. The usual 1 min 19 sec boot up dropped to less than 30 seconds. Shut down dropped enormously as well. The fact that these drives have a 5 year warranty compared to most others with a 3 year warranty is nice, but my own experience with at least 4 other Samsung drives in the past 6 years gives me a lot of confidence that theyre worth the money.

So far so good.
Be careful when you buy this product. You need to also buy a M.2 USB adapter to transfer your old data. Also the Samsung migration software which you have to download. did not work for me despite multiple attempts. I ultimately had to buy Paragons HD Manager to clone my old data to the new drive. Working well so far.

Great Drive
The cloning software works on any size drive. I went from a 2TB to the 500GB with no problems. Im talking about physical size, not data. Ive had problems with other software when the target drive was smaller.

Works great
I use this SSD as an external drive. It is not exactly plug-n-play. I have to search online to figure out how to convert it so my PC will recognized it. Other than that, it has been working great.

Fast and easy to install
Great drive thats easy to clone and install. The Samsung Drive cloning software is easy to use. Cloning time was about an hour. Installing the drive in a laptop took about 10 minutes.

Outstanding
Intalled, used the Samsung Data Migration software to move the OS and here is the key - unplugged the existing HDD and plugged the SSD into the same STAT port - booted up just fine running on the SSD. Then after booting the first time, plugged the HDD into a spare STAT port, configured the Boot Manager and can dual boot into either the SSD or the HDD to confirm everything is working correctly. I Feel the Need for Space
To parody Tom Cruise from Top Gun, I feel the need for speed, I need the room for space. My PC came with a Samsung 128 GB SSD. The performance was superior to my prior PC with a hard disk. Great Hardware and Great Software Too
The best thing about Samsungs EVO SSDs is the awesome support software they provide. The Samsung Magician provides a lot of useful information and their data migration tool perfectly cloned my old drive to the new one in under an hour (versus spending days installing Windows and dozens of other programs from scratch). This 1TB unit was a replacement for a 256GB EVO 850 thats run perfectly (and FAST) for years, but was starting to run low on space.

Easy upgrade to hp envy 17 nr
I had to buy an m.2 enclosure to plug it into usb port. I cloned the.5 tb existing drive to the new drive using macrium. Then I swapped the drives. Still had to rearrange the drive positions using macrium, as the used c:\ drive was still 0.5 tb and the rest was unallocated. These 2 sections have to be adjacent. Then the c:\ drive can be expanded to fill 2 tb.

Snappy!
This is a direct replacement in my system for a smaller (250g) 840 Evo. Its noticeably faster to load programs, which is a pretty good trick given how fast SSDs are in general.

So far, so good
So far, so good. Drive is operating flawlessly, and super fast. Took multiple partition format, and multiple file format perfectly. Works fine on Windows XP (SP3). Should last for another 48 years ... minimum. Yeehaw!

Sale price on a Samsung m.2 SSD
Getting a 1TB M.2 SSD from the best SSD company - Samsung - on sale. What is not to love! What we need now are motherboards with more than two M.2 slots. Used this one to replace a WD 500GB SSD. Works perfectly.

Blazing speed, a breeze to install
