Blazingly fast - really small - super convenient. I got the 2TB version, and its perfect for receiving 4k XAVC-I camera files on multicam shoots, then turning around and using it as an editing source drive!

speed demon for editing news on a laptop
speed transfer 7gig file in under 1 min. edit pkg in 24 min an on TV in 30min. seemless editing on a new mac pro laptop and a one star edit program from adobe editing software that should of died in 1996.

Fast and reliable
This is my second T5 drive. First I bought a 500GB version, now the 1TB. It's cheap and small but very fast and reliable. I use it both with the Thunderbolt 3 cable and the USB cable, both work just fine.

Fast and compact
Transferring large images to and from this drive are a breeze. I am happy that both USB-A to USB-C and USB-C to USB-C cables were included. A very dependable drive as are my other Samsung SS drives.

SSD T5
So far so good. Only one problem that I haven't figured out. Wanted to use the cable from my LEXAR 512GB SSD but the T5 was having nothing of that! I thought all USB to USB-C's were all alike. Go Figure.

Affordable and Reliable
Probably the most reliable and affordable SSD on the market. Perfect for backing files up on and using to record media. I use this to record large files directly from the camera and it's been a lifesaver

Compact and Fast
Compact in size; plug and play ready; much faster that the non-ssd drives I also use. Will very likely stick with SSD drives going forward. Costs a bit more, but worth it for speed, size and reliability.

Una muy buena opcion si quieres utilizarlo con tu bmpcc4k que en mi caso ese es su uso, tiene una buena velocidad de escritura y tambien me permite editar mis archivos directamente desde el disco duro.

It is small, quick enough and red.
It is small, speedy enough and red. So, what's not to love.? It comes with UBS C and regular USB cables. It is formated for Windows but no problem reformating for my Mac. And, did I mention, it is red?

It's storage. Does what it's supposed to.
So far this has been solid. I reformatted for Mac used and haven't used the built in samsung utilities, but the connections with different cables have been good and the transfer speed is nice and fast.

FAILED AFTER 6 MONTHS !!! BEWARE !!!
Failed after 6 months of minimal usage. Samsung warranty team is a joke and actually is some 3rd party company with lame and slow customer service. There are better drives on the market than this.

great size.
I was a little surprised that putting a small video over to the SSD drive longer than I expected. As I thought that SSD drives were fast. But then my macbook pro is from 2012 so perhaps that is why.

Very Quick! A Great Drive
I purchased this drive to keep my photography on rather than store on my computer. I only have 256 G hard drive in my computer. I have over 100 GB of photography. Very fast and dependable. Love it!

Nice drive. Encryption NOT compatible with Mac OS!
After multiple phone calls with support, was told that encryption had to be removed from a non-mac PC in order to use the drive. Would not have bought if I'd been told of this. Mac users beware...

Not for the BMPCC6k
This is a great form factor and the drive works fine. Many people get these for shooting with the BM pocket cameras. Seems to work well for the 4k but shooting 6k raw hasnt worked reliably for me.

Large capacity fits in the palm of your hand
I like the small size of the 2TB solid state drive. It fits in the palm of my hand. It was recognized by my Windows 8 Laptop and I started using it. No loading of additional software is required.

I am a fan.
I have been using these since the original T1 series which were expensive. Samsung knows their SSD and now the price is not even an issue. These and light and cost effective. What is not to love.

Quick like a bunny
Super fast and extremely compact. Using this drive to edit photos and video. I wouldn't mind seeing a thunderbolt 3 feature in the future, and for this smaller 500GB capacity to come in black :)

Fried on 2nd try
Inserted device into USB hub, ran ACRONIS backup. OK. Two days later inserted into USB hub, warning from desktop of high voltage drain on hub. Device no longer shows up on computer. Toast. Dead.

Excellent . . .
After a lot of googling I have now a faster MacBook Pro running on external SSD running. The biggest problem: finding the right information in the right order! Now using my Mac HD as storage.

Fast. Very fast.
Fastest external SSD I've ever used. Paired with a MacBook Pro 13" 2014 version and write speeds are the same as the internal SSD on the MacBook. Using it for 4k video editing and Lightroom.

had to replace defective T3
bought 2 T3 ssd drives at same time - one became inoperable - bought one T5 to replace defective drive Samsung no reply to complaint costly 700 dollars for Samsung defective merchandise
