Top notch drive
I have used many of these Samsung EVO drives and they have always worked well. I always see a significant improvement in the performance of the computer when upgrading to one of these. I also appreciate the software Samsung has for cloning the old drive to the new one. The cloning software only failed me once when the original drive had a problem. The cloning process is fairly quick and very easy to use.

Best SSD
If you want to clone your OS C Drive by the Samsung Data Migration, you need to turn off all applications. The Samsung Magician is excellent.

The 860 EVO series is ideal for non-commercial use
Samsung SSD are very aggressively priced, very reliable and well supported by the Magician software package. Magician is an excellent disk cache and configuration tool for 64-bit systems with 6gb or more installed RAM. EVO performance is top notch. The SSD Benchmarks website shows them to be the top of the SATA-3 category. Samsung 1TB 860 EVO SATA III M.2 Internal SSD
Bought the SSD Samsung 1TB 860 and tried to use the Samsung data migration but it didnt work. Returned for an exchange ( customer service was great) and the second time I used Macrium and it worked.

Had thought it time to replace due to cpu just not up to many tasks and so long to boot up, but the Evo 860 has saved the day! Now any lag time seems external. Really impressed with speed and solid stable service. B&H service and speed is really nice, great company to work with!

Works Perfectly for Late 2013 iMac 21.5in (14,1)

Perfect
Great product from pretty much the go-to brand for SSDs. Works exactly as expected. I had a panic moment when my M.2 screw broke in my motherboard (the head came off), but thankfully I had two M.2 slots. Thats no fault of the SSD, anyway; it was a screw included with the mobo.

You Wont be Disappointed
Ive upgraded several systems using Samsung SSD drives. This time I decided to treat myself to a 1Tb model. The result is no different; easy to install, easy to setup, great speed and lots of capacity. The drive doesnt come with a copy of Samsungs Magician software, but its an quick download. I didnt move any data on this upgrade, started from scratch using Windows 10 from a Windows 7 system. No problems. If youve waited for a good time to jump in to the SSD world, dont wait, get this or any other Samsung drive and you wont be disappointed.

Fast, reliable, secure
I bought this to replace my now-full 128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD. The swap was easy and with the free Samsung data migration software my new drive was up and running in about 20 minutes. This one seems a bit faster to boot than the 840 but that could be because of all the free space, but could also be because of the faster hardware inside. Either way, its a great solution for upgrading an aging SSD to another reliable SSD. I chose the EVO over the PRO because I dont plan to do any heavy photo or video editing so Im not as concerned with longevity. Highly recommended for value and performance.

Super Fast
I had a two-year-old Toshiba laptop that was absolutely a horrible performer it was slow it was sluggish and even with windows 10 it just lagged After sourcing out high-speed SSD drives I finally decided on the used Samsung units and I can only say that I am absolutely thrilled I took this old Toshiba laptop and reloaded windows 10 on it with the SSD and all I can say is it now boots up in less than 10 seconds and it is a totally different lapt... Great speed and item!
I got this to increase my laptops performance. The old HDD was struggling to keep up with the processor. This SSD sped up my machine which is an HP Pavilion dv6. Easy swap over to do myself as well.

Way Faster than a standard SDD
Must have for fast program loading. Would have given 5 stars if it came with software to partition the drive for windows to recognize it. A novice would have problems with that.

Excellent choice for system disk
This drive replaced a Samsung 850 pro 500 that I have used for my Windows 10 System drive for a couple of years. Drive was still working well but was about 80% full and I needed a larger drive. This 860 EVO cloned very well and is now my workhorse for a system drive. Love it and it solved my space problem and should serve me for a long time. Thanks B&H for fast service and great product.

Only getting 270mbs on it
Short headline. Set up with m.2 to usbc box. Need to use usbc to c cable to get 270. If Ancient obsolute usb2 is used speed drops to 45mbs. I formatted into 2 partitions and works great. In cozumel now at bar so not taking time to test with galaxy 9. 9 picked up partitions but not format. Will test after vaca

Good HD; fast and easy install; almost 2 months to ship
I really like the hard drive and the price is one of, if not the best around, but due to the limited quantities, took almost two months to ship after I placed my order. I replaced a smaller 128GB internal laptop hard drive and this one works great. I used windows imaging software to transfer files over and have been using a week with no issues. Start up time from button on to use is about 5 seconds!

Worthwhile Upgrade
Laptop boots much, much faster with Samsung EVO SSD compared with original HDD. Well worth the money. I couldnt get the Samsung Migration software to complete the job of moving to the new drive, though. Tried 5 or 6 times. EaseUS Todo (free) worked smoothly the first time.

A+ for non-enterprise users
IMO, the Samsung SSD are the ones to use. The EVO series is for less demanding uses, i.e. non-enterprise drives. The PRO series are more durable, and no doubt will last longer. Real-world performance appears to be nearly identical. Either is a huge boost to a sluggish Win10 system. Samsung Magician software is a big plus. Dead on arrival
BIOS did not recognize it. Tried different slot with same result. Samsung tech tried to troubleshoot but concluded it was defective. Sent it back and will try the replacement when I receive it.
