A very usable and capable camera
This is the second of this series camera we have owned. It exceeds the capabilities of the previous generation in quialty and capability. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a highly capable and easy to carry camera.

Got for zoom
Got it for better zoom than a phone camera and lighter and easier to carry than a DSLR and works for that. Had allowed me to capture hundreds of pictures I normally wouldnt have because DSLR to heavy and big to carry everywhere and mobile phone dont cut it. Only complaints are lack of GPS and too easy to accidentally hit on/off button when its in your pocket.

the lens is the best part of this camera.
This camera is all around the best money can buy. We are taking it on our European river cruse as it does everything and everything exceedingly well.

A camera for Amateurs or Pros
This is the second camera in this series that we have owned. You can hand it to an untrained amateur who will get excellent results or hand it to a pro who can use all of its capabilities to the full extent of the cameras functions.

Think its just point-and-shoot? Think again!
Although this little bugger has the look of a commercial point-and-shoot camera, it has heaps more cool features than its look suggests. In fact, it allows you to fully control the white balance with the option of a Kelvin setting and a tint shift. It also lets you manually adjust the flash output in one-third stop increments. One other cool feature is the wifi connection, which allows you to use your phone to remote-control the camera. This come... Show More

Awesome point and shoot
This little camera takes incredible photos. I decided on this one because it came with the most features similar to my dslr. I would highly recommend this camera to those who want more control but the ease of a point and shoot.

Great Backup Camera
Using as a backup to my Nikon. Working great. Big screen and many setting options. Recommended to my by a former assistant to Ansel Adams.

Horrible!
I took this camera on a big birding trip to Australia, Papua New Guinea and The Philippines and almost immediately the zoom stopped working unless I kept changing the program backwards and forwards - the same happened when I tried to play back photos - it was so frustrating. Im not sure if it was the humidity but any camera that wont operate in mild humidity is not worth buying! Extremely disappointed and I certainly wont be buying further Panasonic products!

More complicated than I expected
I skimmed over the owners manual but the camera has a lot more going on than is clearly explained. Sometimes there are overlays in the display that obscure my subject during a photo attempt. The camera does appear to capture an image when the shutter button is pressed, and the delay in recording occurs after this. This is an improvement from my old digital cameral that was incapable of capturing an image at the time of the click. This is a very important feature so the camera is certainly an improvement. and 20mb is a big step up from 5 MB.

Nice upgrade for me
I owned the Panasonic Lumix DC-ZS60. It was damaged by a fall and had to be replaced. This model is an upgrade from my previous model but as it is not the most recent model, it was sold at a discounted price that included an accessory kit. I am very pleased to have the included Travel Charger and extra battery so that I am not limited to only charging the battery in the camera. In addition, I appreciate theTilting Touchscreen, View Finder, and included option to extend the warranty to 3 years.

FANTASTIC LITTLE CAMERA - GREAT GLASS
I bought this as a small, light-weight travel camera and was blown away by the quality of the image and the ease of use. Just a fantastic camera and absolutely razor sharp lens.

Nice, but a couple of issues
The camera is nice and takes outstanding pictures. In the automatic settings mode it is simple to use. However, the on/off button is not recessed sufficiently. As a result the camera should be carried in a case rather than a jacket pocket to prevent it from being accidentally turned on. The camera has WiFi capabilities. However, it will not connect to a WiFi network so that the picture files can be easily downloaded to a PC. There is an Android program (App) to download to and control the camera by a SmartPhone.

Fantastic when it works
This is a great camera, I loved it until it broke down 1 day after the warranty ran out. Panasonic is NOT easy to deal with, just finding where to send a camera for repair is not easy. I finally did get it repaired and less than a year later, it died again. Perhaps I had a lemon, I dont know. It was great while it worked, but breaking down twice in a year is not good.

Great Travel Camera
I bought my wife the ZS-50 version a couple of years ago. She loves it and gets great pictures with it. I would take my Sony a6000 along on trips but got tired of having to change lenses and carrying that extra gear. I wanted something more portable. I love my Sony a6000, but sometimes I just want something I can carry in my coat pocket, but still get great pictures. The ZS70 fits the bill. I really love that zoom range. Yes, I can get better... Good Camera - While It Lasted
Had this camera for a couple years & pretty well satisfied with it. Recently started acting up when turning on with the lens getting stuck halfway extended & system error on the screen. Well out of warranty, a check of the web forums advised to give it a tap on the left side. It worked & behaved itself for a month or so then same problem. I took this camera hiking in some fairly remote places - that I will not be going back to - and cannot afford to have an unreliable piece of gear like this. I would not recommed it.

LENS
Due to the long zoom; the lens lacks the clarity and detail of my Canon 18-135. I guess I should have known better.

Pocket Power
Got tired of lugging heavy gear on vacation trips and so researched small cameras. I am very happy with this one for its price and performance. I wanted a camera in this size and price range that could save RAW images, and this one does so. Five stars in its class.

Overall disappointment
Coming from a Fuji X10, I was looking for a wider zoom. Well, that this camera has but results are lacking unless the conditions are ideal. Forget about shooting in low light, or anything approaching. It simply cannot handle it. I could not figure out manual overrides, made especially so by the absence of a manual. OK, its online but do I have to dial it up every time I have a question? I dont recommend this camera. For scenes around my daughters recent wedding, I returned to my old Fuji and was quite pleased.

Good so far
The camera seems to be excellent although we havent yet used it on a trip. Hope to do so in the near future. B&H was great to deal with - fast service and good prices.

Lumix DC-Z570
I purchased the ZS570 after the screen on my Lumix GS85 was cracked badly. I am taking a second-level photography class which requires either a DSLR or a mirrorless camera that can shoot in RAW. Heres what I have found so far: The good: - weighs less than a pound, making it lighter than most all mirrorless cameras. - From what I can tell has all the advanced features of the GS85 mirrorless except the ability to use different lenses - Includes... Video is great. Photos not so much
I purchased the DC-ZS 40 several years ago. Loved the video but the picture quality was not the best. Lots of noise even at low ISO (200). It stopped working twice, a focus issue inside the camera. First time it was under warranty, second time, out of warranty so it was not worth it to fix. I decided on the DC-ZS70 hoping the photo part was better being a much newer camera. Wrong!!! Same issues. Should have sent it back but I didnt, now Im stuck ... Show More

Perfect on a hike
I have had several very small pocket cameras. Thus far, the Lumix DC-ZS70 has had the finest lens quality under all conditions, and the long zoom performs well above the average. I have not tried the video yet, but expect equivalent performances from it.

Great Camera while it works
This was a great camera until it was about 90 days old(just squeaked by with the warranty)when it suddenly started having focus, turning off and on, zoom., etc...issues. In other words, it didn't work. Dealing wth Panasonic was not a pleasant experience, after approximately one month after receiving the camera, they "couldn't find anything wrong with it." My interpretation, it got lost in the workflow. After calling a couple times, all of a sudde... Show More

Happy with my Lumix
This is my second Lumix. My first one was an older, smaller model and finally bit the dust after many years of travel and use. You need to be careful and not put pressure on the lens cover slides when you storing or carrying your camera. That is what finally did in my old Lumix. This new Lumix is a lot more camera then my old one. Better lens, 4K feature and a lot more features that allow customizing your picture taking. (Much more then I wi... Show More
